Locanda Borgonuovo in Ferrara

Excellent location near the Duomo. The rooms are cozy and neat, facing a quiet street. The host speaks good English, and he is very nice and very patient. He shared a lot of information on tourist attractions and places to see. The hotel serves excellent breakfast for each guest in an amazing dining room (see pictures).

A charming city centre B@B on a quiet street. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, furnished in a slightly old fashioned way but that is part of the charm. There is (chargeable) parking close by.

Fabulous! In the heart of the old town. Beautiful and charming rooms. Host was wonderful and had a wealth of knowledge. Bikes available. Would have loved to have been able to stay longer. Use as a base for Florence and Venice!

Dear Sir, ...we are all very sorry, astonished and surprised to read the second part of your review, cause we do all the checks and efforts to give to our guests the best welcome, and even suggestions to how spend your day before arriving in Ferrara, like you have written correctly in the first part of the review... And once more, cause you didn't tell us anything about this "inconvenients" immediately, during your stay, that is a bad and insane attitude cause you do not give us the opportunity to solve the inconvenients or eventually to simply show you that may be everything is ok and you are simply not able to use it properly...
It must be told that you have been at the Locanda in the hottest days of the year, in which Ferrara was the warmest town in Italy... with a temperature between 50-60°C... it is easy to understand that the air condition could have less effects (normally it makes max 20 degrees less then outside) if outside it is so exceptionally hot, and if the engine is used at the maximum power, all the day and night, without breaks. It is intelligent to understand that you had the same problems anywhere else this days in Ferrara, where it was simply "hard to leave".
The yogurt was made by one of the best company in Italy, fresh and naturally made.
The shower has no problem: I asked to the following guests and I checked personally to be sure... you just were surprisingly not able to fix it properly...
Guest should be more direct and transparent with the hotels, if something seems to be wrong... especially if - like you described us - we are "very nice people and very, very helpful. Really nice". You must claim something immediately or at least when you leave... it not fair and very bad to write these kind of remarks some days after your check out, leaving us a so bad souvenir of you... view that your claims are not founded.
We work very seriously to give the best accommodations to everybody; rights remarks are really welcome, cause help us to provide an always better service... but not your attitude. Especially if after some polite emails where I explained all that to you... in your last email you have been so nice to tell me that I was "an idiot and an ass hole"...the way to express yourself is a clear example of what you are... Fortunately, travelers are more intelligent then what you think when they read this kind of reviews. Kind regards, Filippo
