Disappointing Stay – Noisy Rooms and Misleading Presentation

Contrary to the impression given on the hotel’s website, the rooms are noticeably smaller than expected and the hotel is quite noisy. Although all rooms are advertised as having noise-cancelling insulation, this seems ineffective or missing. The room doors have to be slammed shut in order to close properly, which creates constant noise, and sounds from neighboring rooms are easily heard — whether it’s footsteps from above or conversations and loud bumps next door.

Some rooms are also connected by double doors between units. These not only allow almost complete acoustic transfer but also let in light — and even smoke — from the neighboring room, as we unfortunately experienced when our neighbors smoked in their bathroom.

Temperature control is another issue. The AC thermostat switches off automatically and often doesn’t restart for a long time, so the room was consistently cold in the mornings. Housekeeping also appeared to be understaffed, which led to delays in room servicing.

Breakfast is a standard international buffet. While there is plenty of choice, the quality is disappointing compared to typical Italian cuisine and breakfast culture, and the coffee was quite tasteless. On a positive note, many of the staff members were friendly.

The hotel is around 35–45 minutes from the city center by bus 25, and only about 10 minutes from the airport by taxi, which makes it convenient for short transit stays.

Overall summary: this hotel may be suitable for short stays or airport stopovers, but I would not recommend staying longer than two nights — especially in the colder season or if rest and quiet are important to you.
