Nice characterful hotel with spacious rooms. Very clean. Leonardo who checked us in was super helpful and provided us with great recommendations and was on hand via WhatsApp to help with any questions we had. The hotel is located in the centre and very reasonably priced.

It’s a characterful building very close to all the main sites. We received a very warm welcome from Enrico who made sure we were comfortable, helped find bus times and was very happy to engage in conversation in English or Italian. The listing gives every impression of breakfast being available but there is just a coffee machine in reception and a coffee machine and wrapped croissant each in the bedroom. The lift only goes to the half landings but Enrico was happy to help with the bags.

This is a beautiful property. I was visiting family in Piacenza for 6 days and Domus San Martino felt like a home away from home. The manager, Enrico, is friendly, efficient and kind and upgraded me for the second part of my stay to a huge room with a balcony and big bathroom. He was always super responsive to any queries and also suggested an excellent local restaurant and made reservations for us. The room decor in the second room was especially lovely and everything was impeccably clean (thank you Lourdes!) There was a bit of road noise (if you are staying in the front rooms) but it didn’t bother me too much. The location is very central and I was easily able to walk all over the town with regular stops back at my room for a rest / to drop off shopping. All in all, excellent value for the price and I would definitely recommend it.

Unreliable
The only time I saw anyone at the reception was when I checked in. I have now been asking for an invoice for a month and also asked my local colleague to call them. They kept promising but nothing happened. A huge problem for me as the trip was paid with my employer’s credit card.

Spacious room with extra space to accommodate a 3rd person if needed. Manager was very friendly and made a lunch reservation for us at a fantastic local restaurant. Highly recommended.
