Hotel Tre Rose in Riccione

I stayed at the Hotel Tre Rose with my family during the summer holidays, on an all-inclusive basis. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations and the advertised 3-star rating.

I'll start with the only real positive: the owner is a wonderful person, extremely kind and helpful; you can tell she loves her job and puts her heart into it. However, everything else left much to be desired:
• Small, old, and unclean rooms, with uncomfortable beds, unironed sheets, and dated bathroom fixtures. The shower water went from boiling hot to freezing cold, making it difficult to even bathe, and at certain times the water pressure was really low.

• No minibar, no bottled water or snacks in the room, and not even the option to bring water from the dining room: one morning I was scolded for taking too much water, even though we had paid for the all-inclusive basis. I find it unacceptable to have to "limit" water in a hotel that presents itself as such.

• Both pools were out of order and unusable. The children's play area was also in terrible condition: old, dilapidated, and dirty.

• The restaurant's service was far from what was promised: almost everything was a buffet, with simple, poorly prepared, and often repetitive food.

• Intolerances were not properly managed: having a lactose intolerance, I asked for a cappuccino with lactose-free milk every morning. One morning, despite my explicit request, I was served regular milk, and I felt sick.

• The staff, with the exception of the owner, did not appear very friendly or engaged.

In short, a disappointing experience in almost every way. It's truly a shame, because the owner is a special person, but the establishment urgently needs renovations, greater customer service, and consistency between what is promised and what is delivered.

One star because I can't give less, but above all out of respect for the owner, who deserves more.

Let me start by saying that I've traveled a fair amount in my life, sometimes through agencies, sometimes independently. This was the first time I've been completely scammed. I also know that spending less than other hotels isn't a great deal, but I can't even expect a lie. I wanted a second family vacation for summer 2025 and to try a family hotel (I have a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old). In December 2024, before Christmas, I booked this property, which promised:
- two swimming pools
- parking
- large children's area
- children's entertainment
- child-friendly amenities: cribs, bed rails, a bedside light, bottle warmer in the room, a bathtub...
- bikes for getting around with the kids
- rooms for every need
We found none of these: awful and dirty rooms (I used their towels to clean the shower), windowsill with cigarettes on the floor, they set up a camping cot for me, making dust all over the room while we were there, no bed rail, no kettle, shower with a bidet in it, green pool, children's area next to a connecting room with a Maremma dog that barked and growled at the kids, dirty toys, and a room no bigger than 3x3. Poor cleanliness in the room and in the common area: in this children's room, my kids lost some chips on Wednesday, and on the Sunday we left, they were still squashed on the floor.
Bikes in total with three child seats, one of which was legal... so I couldn't carry the baby, so we rented them outside.
We found ourselves without air conditioning after mentioning it four times, and at 11 PM, with the kids asleep, the owner, who pretends to be super nice but is actually just kidding, wanted us to change rooms at night. After sleeping with the window open the next day, she changed our room. The owner responded in an unpleasant manner, even after leaving our strollers soaked after a night of rain.
Many areas are not suitable for small children.
Paid parking is available upon arrival.

The only positive note, besides the food, is that they have an agreement with the Allegri Children's Beach: at least the kids could play there.
I strongly advise against staying here for families with children, especially little ones.

We didn't leave because we
ate out practically every night just to avoid seeing the owner, the rooms with mold, dirt, etc.

A disappointing experience to say the least: lack of cleanliness, from the rooms to the greasy dishes, no entertainment except for one evening for an hour, four broken toys for the children. The pool was unusable for four days (green water), an area of ​​the lounge reserved for the owner's dog was also unusable, the air conditioning was broken, everything was in disrepair and lacked any maintenance. Leftover food was thrown back into the aperitif area, breakfast was embarrassing, bread was hard...

We arrived in the evening at 6:30 pm, we entered the room and immediately noticed the poor cleanliness, first of all unironed sheets with stains and yellow bedspreads full of stains, so we immediately reported what had happened to the reception and then remade the beds. The real nightmare began at night, we had the air conditioner in front of the bed and therefore with an annoying flow of air that hit us on the bed, at a certain point we heard the sound of water and looked at the floor, everything was flooded under the bed and on the bedspread, the air conditioner was leaking like a waterfall. So after a sleepless night we looked for another hotel, after a few issues with the owners we left. The advice given is to review the cleanliness of the rooms because like this we are not there.

I absolutely do not recommend it!! Much to review in this hotel that perhaps 20 years ago was even pleasant. I start from the assumption that there were 5 of us in the room 2 adults and 3 older children, they gave us what they call a suit. For me it was a bunker on the ground floor, you opened the door and you were in the communal outdoor area of ​​the hotel, the laundry had to be hung out within everyone's reach, shoes outside the door ... really embarrassing. Damp inside, peeling walls, poor or almost non-existent cleaning, I had to ask several times for the room to be cleaned, the towels were not changed (something that happened to many guests of the structure) unless insistently requested. The bathroom mirror never cleaned in 8 days. Positive notes the pool and breakfast. The food was decent, even if the owner boasted about their cuisine, I have been frequenting Romagna for years .. and real Romagna cuisine is now difficult to find. Furthermore very often there was cold or reheated food from the day before. On the website they talk about fresh pasta .. but where ??? Messy play area, dirty common areas, the tables were never cleaned unless requested, leaves on the ground and dead plants in the flowerbeds, 50 year old bicycles. Maybe it's time for the managers to think about the pension. Then a dilapidated and dirty sofa at the entrance makes a bad impression, the morning of our arrival we entered the hotel and there was no one there. It was early but the night porter?
