If you’re looking for a proper spa experience or a genuine five-star hotel, this property will not meet those expectations. The room we received was noticeably noisy and below the standard expected for this category, and the overall service didn’t match the rating. The hotel is clean, breakfast is very good, and the massage was truly excellent, but the stay as a whole doesn’t deliver a five-star experience. Guests who are familiar with real 5★ standards will likely be disappointed.

Rooms are well appointed. Good location with the sea across the street and lots of dining options. Downstairs had a nice sauna, steam room and pool. The bar on the mainfloor had amazing drinks and super friendly staff. I will definitely stay here again.

The beds are good, AC is good. Rooms are clean. It is a bit noisy due to lack of sound isolation in the rooms. Breakfast is good, they have a gym. Parking nearby. Just a decent hotel nothing special but good enough. Wi-Fi also works fine. No issues at all here.

First this hotel says it’s 5 star but it’s barely 3 so here they are false advertising. Room numbers are written in paper and glued to the door if you can believe in hotel that advertises as 5 star. Then we enter the room and I see dirty walls not properly painted but the worse is the bathroom, toilet was dirty and not cleaned at all. In shower there are few tiles missing. It’s on noisy street so you hear traffic through windows which are old as building itself. Avoid this dirty unsanitary place! There are so much better hotels in Trst for the same price. This place is in level of hostel and not hotel.

I don't often give 1 star reviews but there this hotel's representation is so misleading that there is no alternative. At best a 2 star hotel given the lack of ammenities and service. Hotel room was dirty; building materials in the "garden"; no restaurant; awful breakfast. We were meant to have a sea view but we were on a lower floor and could not see the sea (I am not convinced that any rooms have a sea view given the building opposite).

Great view! Good service. Unfortunately air conditioning did not work. We opened windows and city street noise was very loud.

We had a nice time, the rooms are clean and cool. The view in our family room was particularly nice, with a balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful so the service was great (we had issues with the fridge in our room and it was fixed as soon as we came back to the room). But I just can‘t agree with this being a five star establishment, which is what I payed for. The rooms are perfectly clean but there are stains on the curtains and on the wall, bathroom appliances are old and it shows. Breakfast was alright but not a five star experience either, bread was mostly stale, butter was a melted greasy mess, coffee was a disappointment. The spa area was also very clean but only open for guest for 4 hours, from 4-8 pm -which is a shame it could have so much improved our stay!

This hotel is not 5* hotel
The room is quite small and even the window is closed you still hear a lot of noise from the street.
The toilet seat is broken and breakfast is poor.
I will not recommend this hotel.

I was torn on choosing this hotel given the mixed reviews. I am happy to report that we had a great stay! I found the personnel extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, the room was simple but lovely architecture, the air conditioning was not super efficient but adequate. There were complaints on the breakfast and I am surprised. There was ample offerings to have breakfast and cappuccino made to order. The view of the gulf of Trieste while having breakfast is alone worth the price of admittance. All this for a value of 150 euro. Thanks hotel Greif for your hard work. I appreciate your efforts

It's a strange hotel. It doesn't feel like a 5*, the delux rooms are actually the noisy ones as they face the busy street, it's neither in the city center (a bit too far to walk) nor on the water (you have to cross the street and pass a big building "hiding" the water)... Noise was the biggest drawbacks for us. There is no air-conditioning available besides some semi-useless fan system and when you open the windows at night you feel like you sleep on the street itself... But the value for the price paid is excellent and the park accross the street is a wonderful. However if you're looking for a relaxing hotel with privacy, a pool (BTW, it's closed in the summer time) and a silent sleep, this is not a place to go to...
