Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel, Portofino

Portofino, Via Roma 2 🧭

🌞 From seashore 3 min

Arriving at Splendido Mare feels like stepping into an Italian film. Overlooking Portofino’s picturesque harbour, the hotel has that effortless Riviera elegance that instantly slows the pace of the day. With only fourteen rooms it feels intimate, personal and very special. What truly makes it unforgettable is the team. Led by their wonderful manager Michela, they practise hospitality as an art , warm...

Sometimes things take an unexpected turn and it ends up being something better than you could have imagined. This was exactly the experience that led us to Splendido Mare. My husband and I were ending a 3 week trip in Italy in another location of the country at a hotel that I had very expectations of. Unfortunately this experience was sadly nowhere near what we hoped and decided to leave and find...

From the prime location to the amazing rooms and the warmth of the team, the Splendido Mare is one of the best hotels we have stayed in.

We realize that Hotel Splendido Mare in Portofino does not need another positive, glowing review: It's hardly a secret. So we write this only to say that the accolades are really, honestly all true. During our very brief stay this December, we appreciated luxurious amenities (including the lovely added touch of a glorious vase of freshly-cut flowers in our room), but it was the staff who made our...

Staying at Splendido Mare in Portofino is the kind of experience that stays with you long after you leave. From the moment you arrive, the entire staff makes you feel like at home. Their attention to detail is extraordinary, warm and discreet, and every need anticipated. It’s hospitality elevated to an art form. The rooms had a refined elegance that perfectly mirrors the charm of Portofino itself...

Eight Hotel Paraggi

Santa Margherita Ligure, Via Paraggi a mare, 8 🧭

🌞 From seashore 3 min

We cannot speak highly enough of our experience at Eight Hotel Paraggi. From the moment we arrived, the staff were nothing short of extraordinary. Linda, in particular, was absolutely exceptional — warm, professional, and genuinely caring. When we faced unexpected travel issues, the team went above and beyond — helping us with luggage storage, assisting with logistics, and even taking us personally...

This was a fabulous stay! The private beach is stunning and unlike anything you’ll find in the Portofino area. The staff was amazing and always so friendly. We loved the private shuttle, the free breakfast, and that the cleaners came multiple times throughout the day! We traveled here with our baby and everything was extremely accommodating. 10/10 recommend this amazing hotel!

Amazing service, attentive staff, very dog friendly. Private beach club with really great staff. To shed some light in 1star reviews I read: Yes, rooms are relatively small, BUT it is Paraggi - a tiny town with limited available space. If you want to be at the beach, there are very few alternatives :-)

The best hotel I have stayed in my life. Excellent location and super customer service

The staff at the property were amazing, great service! Super nice to have a private beach club area for the hotel guest.

Location is great - we stayed in the best suite of the hotel - view is fantastic - the Airconditioning of the room too cold and un adjustable- the jacuzzi was dirty including the cushions around it - the rate is too high compared to the service given Breakfast was great . This is definitely not a five star hotel! Something is wrong with the rating . We are now in a 5 star hotel what a difference in...

Eight Hotel

Portofino, Via del Fondaco, 11 🧭

🌞 From seashore 5 min

From the moment of arrival to leaving, we felt warmly looked after with exceptional attention. The hotel is in a wonderful position in that you do not need to use a car once you are there as everything is workable. Charming little Paradise on the edge of everything in Portofino.

Okay Hotel room was okay. Needs renovations.. bathroom shower head set up creates a water mess. Check in with Aziz was wonderful tho, staff overall in both locations were great, def made the stay better.

My husband and I stayed at the Eight Hotel in early July 2025. The hotel was AMAZING. We were in a Deluxe Room, recently renovated with high quality finishings and designs like the White Lotus. The luxurious black marble bathroom had dual sinks, and a heated floor. The location is extraordinary, just 2 blocks from the port/pizetta. The shuttle service to the beach was very timely and comfortable. The...

The rooms are nicely appointed although I had some mild issues with the plumbing at first. I am not a fan of half showers, but that is common there, especially in older properties. The one caution in the bathroom is the height of the tub above the floor...it can be a bit dangerous as the floor appears to be a couple inches lower than the tub bottom...just a small warning in my particular room. Lobby...

The hotel is beautiful. Small and intimate. The location is perfect within easy walking distance of everything.

Just had two nights at this fabulous hotel and wish it was longer! The attention to detail everywhere is amazing. Just a short 5 min stroll into Portofino harbor with all its shops bars and restaurants and then to return to a little slice of heaven. The bed was so comfortable and the room so quiet. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic with a range of everything you could wish for all exquisite...

Hotel Piccolo Portofino

Portofino, Via Duca degli Abruzzi, 31, Portofino, 16034 Metropolnyy gorod Genuya, Liguriya, Italiya 🧭

🌞 From seashore 4 min

The staff was friendly, and the location is perfect, within walking distance of Castle Brown, Portofino Lighthouse, the Piazzaetta, a flavorful seafood restaurant, Trattoria Tripoli, and a beautiful hidden gem, Baia Cannone, just down the stairs outside the hotel. It is a small, secluded rocky cove known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters. My husband enjoyed the swim in it.

The staff was very friendly. They upgraded us to a better room than we booked for free, with two rooms and a gorgeous sea view. Valet parking is available. The location is perfect! The views are stunning.

Gorgeous property- out of a fairy tale private beach, extremely helpful staff, pristine rooms

The hotel is dull throughout the building. Dark colours interior. The building looks lovely from the outside. But old and uncool on the inside. The was a strong ‘sewage’ smell in my room and I had a headache everyday. I didn’t complaint as the Italian service is usually very poor towards foreigners . I stayed quite and enjoyed the view - that’s all worth it … but having said that many others hotels...

Portofino Hotel is in a brilliant location . Fantastic views . We did hire a car , but not needed. Everything within walking distance and a regular bus & boat services to other parts of the area .Secure valet parking €40 per day . Hotel a little tired looking in parts but very clean . Hotel staff were fantastic , really took good care of us & made our trip very special . We would highly recommend...

Hotel Eden Portofino

Portofino, Vico Dritto 20 16034 Portofino,Vico Dritto 🧭

🌞 From seashore 4 min

The hotel is very cozy and nice, lovely space with lovely and friendly management. The location is great, in central of Portofino and close to all interesting areas. Walking only 100 meter to all restaurant and bus stop . Room is very clean, breakfast is very yummy and the service is an excellent with good price.

This location is great and central in Portino. It is about 200meters from the large public parking garage. The garden is huge and the staff is great. We did not have a reservations but got the last room in the place please go here it is the best. I am going back for sure.

1- The hotel location is very good , in the center of portofino and near from the main road. 2-The room was very clean and has good space. 3- The room has an air conditioning. 4- The old man in the reception was very helpful and nice. 5-The breakfast was good , I wish they had scrambled egg.

Hotel Eden is situated a few steps away from the Via Roma, the main strada of Portofino. The hotel is very nicely and simply furnished, with a nice garden out front. Our room (camera 6) was simple and clean. The breakfast was adequate, although there were no meat or cheese, just breads, cereal, yogurt, milk, fruit and coffee. The price was reasonable (May 2016 = €150) although I would expect it to...

A wonderful hotel option near Portofino. Hotel is in Paraggi, with and easy 1.5km walk to Portofino harbor. Wonderful hosts. We had room #16 on the top floor with a beautiful private patio and a fantastic view of the sea. The bathroom was spacious by European standards and the shower was great. Breakfast was phenomenal with many options from which to choose. The staff was very friendly and even offered...

An affordable way to visit Portofino At 20-30mins walking distance to Portofino (on a nice footpath set into the hills and overlooking the sea), this hotel is well located for visiting the village whilst escaping the incredible hotel costs of Portofino itself. It's also an easy 30min walk to Santa Margherita Ligure along the coastal footpath from the hotel. The included breakfast was very good, and...

Convenient. Close and great option to visiting Portofino.

Great access point for Portofino. Basic hotel but good price for the area. Wonderful breakfast which was served to you. Great location. Bit noisy as on main road. Hotel can reserve spaces in the main car park but is quite costly.

Marta is very cheerful and helpful. Breakfast is very good. A very pleasant 1km walk with great scenery to Portifino

Staff cheerful and friendly and very helpful
