Eight Hotel Paraggi in Santa Margherita Ligure

We cannot speak highly enough of our experience at Eight Hotel Paraggi. From the moment we arrived, the staff were nothing short of extraordinary. Linda, in particular, was absolutely exceptional — warm, professional, and genuinely caring.

When we faced unexpected travel issues, the team went above and beyond — helping us with luggage storage, assisting with logistics, and even taking us personally to the police station. Their kindness and attention to detail were unlike anything we’ve experienced elsewhere.

The accommodation itself is peaceful and elegant, tucked away in its own private cove, offering the perfect combination of tranquility and luxury. The restaurant is outstanding — one of the very best meals we’ve had anywhere in Italy.

Before our stay, we had read some mixed reviews and were a little uncertain, but we can confidently say they do not reflect the true quality of this hotel. Everything about Eight Hotel Paraggi exceeded our expectations.

We are so grateful to the entire team for their warmth and care, and we’re already planning our return next year. If you’re reading this and wondering whether to book — don’t hesitate. This place is a gem.

This was a fabulous stay! The private beach is stunning and unlike anything you’ll find in the Portofino area. The staff was amazing and always so friendly. We loved the private shuttle, the free breakfast, and that the cleaners came multiple times throughout the day!

We traveled here with our baby and everything was extremely accommodating.

Yes, rooms are relatively small, BUT it is Paraggi - a tiny town with limited available space. If you want to be at the beach, there are very few alternatives :-)

Had a fabulous experience at this property. The weather forecast was horrible - sideways rain for 2 days. We were too late to cancel and I'm glad we didn't ultimately. Amanda the reservations manager upgraded our room - a nice gesture given we were not going to be spending more time there as opposed to being out touring around. The hotel is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The food and drinks in the restaurant were excellent and the service there we received from Christiano was top notch. WE used the free shuttle to and from Portofino regularly. My only qualm is that they don't offer a similar service to Santa Margherita - a similar distance away - and as a result the taxi service took 30 minutes of waiting and cost a staggering 50 euros each way for a very short trip. But c'est la vie.

The staff here are amazing. They are all so gracious and accommodating.
