Great experience, super hotel, excellent food. Very friendly staff. Great view from the room. Fantastic sea terraces with a small beach.

The staff was friendly, and the location is perfect, within walking distance of Castle Brown, Portofino Lighthouse, the Piazzaetta, a flavorful seafood restaurant, Trattoria Tripoli, and a beautiful hidden gem, Baia Cannone, just down the stairs outside the hotel. It is a small, secluded rocky cove known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters. My husband enjoyed the swim in it.

The staff was very friendly. They upgraded us to a better room than we booked for free, with two rooms and a gorgeous sea view. Valet parking is available. The location is perfect! The views are stunning.

Gorgeous property- out of a fairy tale private beach, extremely helpful staff, pristine rooms

The hotel is dull throughout the building. Dark colours interior. The building looks lovely from the outside. But old and uncool on the inside. The was a strong ‘sewage’ smell in my room and I had a headache everyday. I didn’t complaint as the Italian service is usually very poor towards foreigners . I stayed quite and enjoyed the view - that’s all worth it … but having said that many others hotels have a great sea view too. It is overpriced for what it offers. There is not even a bar or room services in the offer; no fresh squeezed orange juice at breakfast, the breakfast room has not sea view it is small and hasn’t got a relaxing atmosphere and what I really did not appreciate the most was when I was going to dinner at night and it was 300 metres from the hotel (1 minute driving) the hotel member offered a kind of personal taxi services to drive me at the extra cost of 50 euros … 1 minute driving to the Portofino splendid mare restaurant… I felt robed really ! I paid for it and he asked for another 50 euros to collect me back .. of course I have taken the bus and paid 5 euros for the journey … I felt extraordinary extorted! Never more.

Hotel is in a brilliant location . Fantastic views . We did hire a car , but not needed. Everything within walking distance and a regular bus & boat services to other parts of the area .Secure valet parking €40 per day . Hotel a little tired looking in parts but very clean . Hotel staff were fantastic , really took good care of us & made our trip very special . We would highly recommend .

The room was small and cramped. There was no view at all for a 300 euro room. The hotel is on a main road, and it's dangerous to drive very fast. We booked breakfast and dinner, but when we checked out we were asked to pay for the meals. It took us ages to figure out that meals were included, and there was no apology. The management is a mess, and the front desk clerk in his 70s was serving, so it was hard to say anything! The most important thing is that when we checked out, we were locked in the lobby and not allowed to leave the door. Even our companions were not allowed to leave. The door would not open until we settled the bill! There was no respect at all! The waiters in the only restaurant were quite nice. The faces of the several tall-collared uncles at the front desk were all grumpy! Parking was 40 euros a night, with several parking spaces on the roadside, and there was another 16 euros called "mandatory fee" but it was unclear what it was for! Not recommended.

The hotel is very convenient with a beautiful view of Portofino. Hotel needs an update, pricey for an old looking hotel.

Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good!
It was great, probably the best location in Portofino because of the beach and short walk to the village
