Bizarre system of being required to buy credit in advance for bar/ food with any unspent surplus retained by the hotel. Beach and pool towels available for hire! Felt generally ripped off

The abundant breakfast and diverse restaurant options were a treat! The hotel’s sandy beach were wonderful and the Spa and Acqua park were fantastic bonuses

First of all the rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. Fresh linen and towel provided each day. The pool areas are clean, tidy and family friendly. There is entertainment on around throughout the day

The entertainment team were exceptional, always ready to meet you with a smile and friendly face. Great food and drinks and in a beautiful setting, with easy access to cefalu. I will definitely be back again

We had an incredible time at the hotel! Everything was perfect, from our spacious, modern seafront room with breathtaking views to the fantastic amenities that truly made it feel like a home away from home

An amazing hotel, so friendly and the hotel is spotlessly clean. It is no trouble for any of the staff to do anything for you. The bar staff are all excellent, especially bar manager Rosario

As mentioned, great location, very close to the sea, and a short and nice walk away from Cefalù. There is a hotel beach as well with sunbeds. We visited 9-14 Sept, and we never had problems finding free sunbeds

I like the location about a 40 minute walk to the town centre with a beautiful beach walk to town, the hotel is situated away from the tourist crowds

Breakfast in the restaurant basic, but definitely sufficient. Dinner very good and veeeeery tasty (compliments to the chef and the staff!). There is also a bistro at the hotel, where you can buy something tasty for lunch

The rooms may need some modernisation, but this was not an issue. Also, there was a safe box in the room. As of the staff in general, very friendly people, they were always nice and attentive to anything we needed

During the peak season it may be more challenging. Overall very positive experience. A few extra notes: There is a train track next to the hotel, but the trains are not very frequent and do not make much noise

An excellent hotel on the north coast of the island. The old town is also nearby, about a 20-minute easy walk. The rooms are nice and clean because room service is regular every day

The staff could not be friendlier, the food was amazing, the private beach is spectacular and everything was just totally spot on. It’s also just a 10 minute taxi right into the city center, or 30 minutes by foot

We very much enjoyed the sea access but would be weary with children as it can be rough (they have a wonderful pool option)- for adults there was no concern! Staff was helpful!

My favorite part was the walk to the beach where we booked chairs and enjoyed a lovely beach day! The main city center is about a 10 - 15min walk which some might not prefer - but I enjoyed our quiet relaxing stay here

We liked this hotel and its location. It’s very close to the train station but we don’t hear anything in the hotel. The beach and the old town is not far at all from the hotel

Unfortunately, there was a major power cut mid evening and we were without electricity and water all evening and morning after. The water was the biggest miss as we couldnt flush the toilet or wash at all

The hotel has a great location, about a 10-minute walk from Cefalu train station, and a 5-minute walk from the beach. It's also very quiet at night.

Location is excellent, close to beautiful Lido Eolo beach, 15-20min walk to old town centre, less to train station. Overall, really enjoyed stay and would recommend

Room was clean and spacious although trees next door blocked view somewhat but first floor seating area had fantastic views. Service was fine, would have improved with a coffee machine to help yourself at breakfast

We had a wonderful short stay at Sunset Hotel. Room was spotlessly clean and modern. Loved the shower! The view from our room was lovely and even better from the rooftop pool

There's a huge range of food for breakfast and you can take lunches out to the private beach area on the front. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone stopping in Cefalu

Lovely hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Great sized pool with plenty of sun loungers. Unfortunately, the bedroom let it down. Comfy bed, but bedside wall lights too far away from bed so unable to read

The hotel's private beach are opens in June, but we could use the public beach in front of the hotels, just accross the street, the sea was still cold on early May

Against the wall opposite the bed, was a very large table with a centre drawer and stool which would be great as a dressing table, but unfortunately there was no mirror

Private section on the beach was fantastic, always plenty of sun loungers while we were there. Toilets too if you don't want to head back to the hotel. Drinks were a little pricey but to be expected

Large and comfortable rooms, beautiful view from the top floor, where the breakfast was served the 2nd day of our stay (first week of May). The pool is not heated, so it was fairly cold in May (same as the sea)

Reception didn’t provide the Wi-Fi password or mention the towels for the beach club, so we had to return to the front desk to get them. Breakfast was okay, but it really should be included in the room rate

Just returned from a lovely stay at this hotel. We had a superior room with a garden view. It was very compact with a small balcony which had on it 1 x sunbed (not enough room for 2!) and a table with 2 chairs

Beds are made every day, and occasionally the cleaning is more thorough. Nothing fancy, but comfortable enough. 🏖️ Beach Access The hotel has a reserved beach area nearby with sunbeds and parasols

There was a swimming pool with plenty of tables on the terrace for a relaxing drink from pool-side bar. Breakfast was a buffet style with plenty of choice. Members of staff were pleasant and helpful

There is a shuttle bus to and from the beach, and you can contact them via WhatsApp. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the hotel to the old street

Lovely intimate place to stay. Definitely on the list of places to go back to. Staff were very friendly and the bungalows are great. The private pebble beach is a little harsh on bare feet, so do take some sandals.

Calanica was really something special. A perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries. Staff was fantastic from frontdesk to restaurants and cleaning. Our seafood dinner at the Calanica restaurant was really nice

Yes, the rooms are big, but you'll pay for it in every other way. The access road is a white-knuckle 15-minute mountain crawl. The walls are so thin you'll know your neighbour's shower schedule

Breakfast is a sad plate of pastries and eggs. Lunch pasta at €24 is daylight robbery. The sea is a 20-min drive, park on the shoulder, swim off rocks – no showers, no toilets

You absolutely need a car, and you absolutely need to be a skilled driver. Unless you enjoy overpaying for stress, skip this place

At check in they inform you that checkout is at 11am sharp and the facilities can not be used such a pool and sunbeds

We had a great stay on our honeymoon at Le Calette! It was extremely pricey and you're really paying for the beautiful view, beach club & pool access

That said, the standout feature was the quality of the customer service - every single member of staff couldn't do enough for us and could be 100% relied upon when it came to booking taxis, restaurant tables, etc

The staff would charge extra for every little thing (5 euros to rent a towel at the beach, etc). The room felt like a hostel (just a sheet, no comforter, relatively uncomfortable spring bed, cheap pillows)
