Hotel Le Calette in Cefalu

Situated amidst a magnificent view between the sea and cliffs, Le Calette Hotel is undoubtedly a small paradise for a relaxing holiday. The qualified, attentive staff will pamper you with every detail. The outdoor spaces are well-kept and elegant, from the restaurant to the sun terrace, the olive-tree garden, a cool spot for an aperitif, and the perfect green carpet for yoga.

A charming, wonderful, and very refined place with welcoming staff. From anywhere inside the property, you can enjoy a breathtaking view. The outdoor spaces are meticulously maintained, from the bar to the pool, the restaurant, and the garden among the olive trees...a green carpet where I had the opportunity to practice yoga...and the sound of the sea in the background...a true paradise.

We had a great stay on our honeymoon at Le Calette! It was extremely pricey and you're really paying for the beautiful view, beach club & pool access. Room was nice, on the small side but the view of the sea is really special. We had an incredible dinner at Cala Luna which was a highlight meal of our trip. Utilizing the beach club beds and service was also one of our favorite things to do! On the negative side - out of all the hotels we stayed in the service here was the least friendly. The front desk argued with us on our checkout time saying that the time on our confirmation email now needed to be an hour earlier which we obviously didn't abide by because it's not what was promised. We also let them know it was our honeymoon and this was the only hotel that didn't offer a bottle of champagne or anything special and overall gave us the least special service which for the price was surprising. Another thing to note is that taxis into town are $20-30 euro each way which was high for a 10 minute trip. For the price I would've assumed a shuttle would be included. Overall would stay here again but not for the peak pricing we paid.

Location is stunning but the stand out feature was the general staff attitude and customer service in general.
Breakfast was great too.

Pros
- We were upgraded to a Cabana which had a fantastic whirlpool and was super modern.
- The spa facilities are top notch and we loved our spa experience
- The dinner at Cala Luna was spot on
- The facilities of beach and pool are indicative of its 5 star status - definitely has everything
- Lots on offer for breakfast; ingredients were fresh and I could order hot meals off menu which was much appreciated

Just a couple of points;

- During the second evening of my stay I noticed that a patch of my hair turned green - this is a reaction between my dyed blonde hair and copper chloride dihydrate.

In the bathroom the hand shower had blue-green crystal deposits on the hand shower head. I appreciated managements kindness but it does need to be looked at because the reality is I will have to have the discoloured hair cut out.

- There were some flies on the meats and cheeses during breakfast, covering those plates would make for an easy fix

The staff are so helpful and the service is amazing.
The breakfast is plentiful and tasty.
We had a wonderful time at this gem of a hotel.

Most beautiful location I have ever seen. I had breakfast included which was fantastic. The staff was amazing!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. It's a very nice hotel with excellent, well-maintained facilities and restaurants that are very good value for money. That said, the standout feature was the quality of the customer service - every single member of staff couldn't do enough for us and could be 100% relied upon when it came to booking taxis, restaurant tables, etc

We felt very well taken care of from the moment we stepped on the property. Very beautiful and updated. Nice 1-mile walk to main Cefalu area or shuttle service offered. Unique and very quiet hotel.
