We stayed three nights over the Ferragosto holiday in a double room. The friendliness of the entire staff was beyond excellent, but it's a shame it's not worth the price. It's an OLD hotel and somewhat rundown. The amenities offered are breakfast and cleanliness, in addition to the friendliness of the entire staff: nothing to complain about. €250 per night for a double room seems excessive, considering that only breakfast is offered and there are no other amenities such as a pool, saunas, or relaxation areas.

Pros: Location very close to the center and a stone's throw from the lake, ample parking adjacent to the property, friendly and helpful staff, bar and relaxation room with TV, billiards, and cards, wide variety of breakfast options, gorgeous room with lake view, overall cleanliness. Cons: Bathtub with sliding panels that convert to a shower. Rather uncomfortable. Overall, the bathroom is a bit dated. Stained ceiling in the room. If these things were fixed, everything would be perfect!

A hotel with an air of times gone by. Rooms are large, but a bit bare and even a bit cold. The common areas are very nice, taking you back to the last century. Parking is limited. Staff are a bit sparse, though friendly and attentive. Breakfast is so-so.

We stayed here from August 22nd to 25th. The hotel was clearly in need of renovation: the wooden decor needed complete redoing, the peeling balcony with a swinging railing seriously at risk of collapsing (a 5-year-old child was kept at a safe distance). The garden was poorly maintained, with a tennis court and a bocce ball court that had seen better days; perhaps once popular in the 1960s, but now overgrown with weeds! The bathroom was windowless, with a non-functioning extractor fan and serious drainage problems. Despite reporting this to reception, the situation remained unchanged. At dinnertime, a fight broke out over the best piece of the appetizers, which, if it weren't for the extremely kind maître d', almost nothing would have been possible. But the best was yet to come. Through telephone arrangements (with reservations for three rooms), we had agreed to an early checkout, paying an additional 12% for each night spent in the hotel. Upon checkout, the manager forced us to pay for both the night we missed and the dinner we missed. Only one room was charged the full amount, as agreed upon over the phone. When we complained, the manager promptly showed us the contract, which stipulated full payment in the event of early checkout. Since we're all accustomed to traveling and staying in a wide variety of hotels, we were truly disappointed to receive such treatment in our beautiful Italy! In conclusion: this is definitely not a hotel to recommend...and remember, "Verba volant (unfortunately) Scripta manent"!

We stayed for just one day, full board, during a group trip through the beautiful Belluno Dolomites. The Auronzo Hotel's location is excellent: surrounded by greenery, it overlooks Lake Santa Caterina, offering a beautiful, relaxing panoramic view. The hotel is dated but has undergone a substantial renovation while maintaining some atavistic features. The restaurant is good although diners are forced to use paper napkins (a 4 star hotel with a maître d' in the dining room!). The breakfast food is also well-stocked and satisfying. As for our room (208), it was a little lacking: it has simple furnishings with a curious arrangement of the furniture, so there is an absurd narrowness of only 50 cm to pass from the entrance of the room to the bed (!). The bed, however, is of good quality. The view from the balcony is beautiful but the balcony itself should be completed because it simply has a rough concrete floor without any tiling while the bathroom still has all the hot/cold taps with separate knobs and the toilet flush is still the chain type! (perhaps it is a series of rooms for groups in transit, so to speak, second-rate). Beyond everything, however, I would recommend it for its prevailing positive aspects.

I'm speaking about the situation I encountered during a 2-night stay in July 2024. I don't know if the hotel has since been fully maintained, if not renovated, and, most importantly, if it has changed management. At the time of our stay, the property was in terrible condition. Its best days were years ago. The rooms and bathrooms have certainly been updated over time, but the overall effect is definitely not 4-star. The quality of the beds and mattresses is appalling. The shutters and balcony railings are peeling. The garden is neglected. The front and back terraces are unsightly. Our bathroom was dirty, with clogged toilets. The staff, although well-intentioned (such as, for example, Mrs. Sara at the front desk, with whom we shared all the problems we encountered), were untrained. The food and service in the dining room and at the table were inconsistent with the hotel's category. Last but not least: despite email reminders, they never issued or subsequently sent us a receipt for the amount we paid, citing IT issues. It's absolutely essential to verify any changes made before staying at this hotel.

Weekend with family. Beautiful hotel, the ground floor retaining its original 19th-century appearance. Spacious rooms and dining rooms, billiards, and lounges. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Excellent cuisine, truly generous breakfast. We'll definitely return.

My partner and I stayed at this property for six days in the first week of October. Overall, everything was good; the hotel is simple and comfortable. Particularly positive aspects: - The dinner service and food: the waitress was always kind, helpful, and very courteous. The food was excellent and plentiful. - The hotel offers bike rental (we didn't use it, but they seemed well-stocked and prepared to offer recommendations). - Spa: there's a dedicated area for a sauna and tea corner. There are no hot tubs, but overall it's nice. Cons: - The staff is generally friendly, but some of them weren't very friendly or helpful.

We had a lovely stay in this charming, historic hotel. The managers and staff were friendly and professional and made us feel at home. Perfect location for visiting the Three Peaks. Excellent food.
