Hotel Roma in Marghera

Very nice hotel with a very good breakfast. It's around 15 minutes walking distance from the train station

Lovely little hotel
I was very impressed with the variety of choices for breakfast. The woman who helped with the service was very friendly and helpful. The man who checked me in helped me with a predicament that I was in and mailed a package for me. All was clean and well maintained. My only complaint is the pillows were hard.

The hotel is situated next to a bus stop to go to Venice. There is a train station in one km from the hotel. The property has a parking area. Breakfast is served in a nicely furnished space, all details of the interior are selected with thinking about creating a warm and homey atmosphere. The stuff is very helpful, they explained the surrounding area: a store, a bus stop; we asked for plates and utensils to have dinner at the hotel, they provided everything. Highly recommended!

The Roma Hotel, (in Marghera, Venice, Italy) is a quaint little hotel, with a lot of charm. The hosts are very kind and gracious. The breakfast (included) was continental, which also had fresh panini's, hard boiled eggs, and the usual continental offerings. I love a hot breakfast myself, so having eggs on toast, helped to calm the beast in my belly.

Our room had a front of the hotel view to the street, with a balcony, (bonus) and a side view from the bathroom, with views of the homes and church looking building that's back there. The windows all open with black horizontal slats that open and close, no screens, but that is typical of Europe. I don't mind the busy traffic going by in the front of the hotel, but if you are wanting something quiet, don't book room #8 which is directly above the front entrance to the hotel.
We enjoyed our room which is on the second floor. There is an elevator, and it is the tiniest thing I have ever seen, it fits 2 people, and barely fit all our luggage! We made it, and if your are able, just take the stairs, it's faster.

The hotel really smells of cigarette smoke, (which is another very European thing) so if you are sensitive to that, don't book here. The front desk clerk told us the hotel is non- smoking, but someone, somewhere, is clearly breaking that rule on a daily basis.

They have luggage storage, and we will take advantage of that today, and we are going to take public transit to see the sights today, more on that later.

Other than that, we loved it, we recommend it, and we would stay here again if we were ever back in Venice.

Last night, we walked to an authentic Italian restaurant, named Osteria 0.75, which I am happy to review next.

Very friendly service and helpful as well. The hotel and rooms were very clean and tidy, and the breakfast was excellent. There’s a bus stop nearby that heads straight into Venice and the train station.

Hotel is perfect for couples. Location is only a few minutes from bus stop to Venice. Rooms and all area are clean and neat. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast - typical Italian :) all you can need and great coffee. The area are safe. Near you have supermarket, pharmacy, wine shop and in some days market with fresh vegetables.

This is the best accommodation. If you come to Venice, you must come to Hotel Roma. Thanks to the friendly and attentive service, I had a pleasant trip. Thank you for giving me good memories. I hope all the staff at Hotel Roma are always healthy and happy.

The location is very convenient with regard to Venezia Mestre train station (15 minutes walk, several stops by tram or bus) and also to Venezia (bus connection to Venezia-Piazza Roma). Very helpful staff, good breakfast. Convenient parking in the yard behind the hotel.

Nice location, close to bus stop. The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was great. We loved the private parking spots.
