A beautiful clean hotel nestled in the mountains with private hot spring baths and golden retrievers for guests to interact with. We had a wonderful stay and our 2yr old was very happy playing with the dogs. The western style dinner, featuring locally grown food, was amazingly prepared and delicious. The private outdoor open air hot spring bath was relaxing and easy to reserve.
We will definitely be making this place a regular place to stay when visiting Minakami.

We stayed two nights and had a lovely and memorable time. Perfect if you love dogs as you are instantly greeted by 4 beautiful Goldys. Very friendly and calm. The food is so delicious as well! We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and breakfasts. Would recommend having a car to get to accommodation. Definitely will be back next time we are in Japan/ Gunma!

We are the family of five with grown up / teenager children. We look for the outdoor activities rather than a stay in luxurious hotels. This place offers us ideal 2 night stays for the weekend.
Room: The family room was very clean and cozy.
Dinner & breakfast: Western style, very well prepared. They have VEGAN option too !!!
Bath: We enjoyed their outside Onsen very much.
Service: The young owner couple are very attentive and kind. We also enjoy the time with their 4 golden retrievers !
Activities: We hired a local guide for a snow walk. We had a dream time in fresh snow!
This cozy environement is well maintained not only by the owners’ effort but also by customers’ collaboration. There are small rules like meal time, bath sharing system, how to play with dogs etc. which are all well written in their website. I really hope that this place continues like this with respectful customers !!!

1 Super friendly and helpful staff.
2. Very family friendly. I had no problem letting my daughter walk around without close supervision . She liked petting the dogs.
3. There are 3 lockable onsen rooms (one is outside) which are intended for a family or couple.
4. The relatively small of the place makes it very cozy.

Is a lovely hotel with the best mountain and cottage vibes. Dogs are adorable,very clean and polite. Room is cozy, clean and spacious. Dinner and breakfasts are also very good. Onsen is also a strong feature of this accommodation.
I cant wait to visit again in winter to enjoy Onsen with snow and play with the cute dogs.
