My child was 4 years old and I came here because I wanted to play in the snow. Since there is a slope (normal??) in front of the hotel, I was able to play right after returning the rental goods

Maybe the quality of the hot springs is good, and my wife has gone there three times. The open-air bath is a short walk from the hotel. I will borrow the key from the front desk

It’s a perfect getaway from the city. The outdoor onsen was one of my favourite. The best part of this trip. The room was spotless and the staffs were very nice.

The food was quite good, although some dishes were more Western in style, which I didn't really enjoy. I'd prefer some traditional local cuisine. Overall, it was a relaxing hotel

The sister inn Senjyuan was really good, so I decided to stay here this time! I wanted to relax by myself, so I booked one with an open-air bath. I made a reservation on the day, but they were flexible in their response

The inn is located overlooking Mt. It retains a nostalgic atmosphere, but it has been renovated and is well-maintained. Above all, the staff have a high sense of hospitality

They waved goodbye until our car was out of sight – something I haven't seen since Hakone NICA! Furthermore, the owner is a huge fan of Koji Kikkawa, and his love for him shines through! If you're a Koji Kikkawa fan, you'll surely have a great conversation with him

When I was deciding which hotel to stay at, I couldn't forget how kind the staff were to me last time, so I decided to go again! I often get lost inside the hotel, but Le Vent-le-Kokyo is not too large and is a compact inn

The room furnishings are also impeccable. My only minor complaint is that a hook for hanging bathrobes would have been nice. They also have seasonal menus, so I'd like to come back in a different season

It's like an Italian version of the all-you-can-eat Chinese food found in places like Yokohama Chinatown. The fact that they've implemented this in a hot spring inn is impressive

The main dish for dinner was sukiyaki, which was delicious, and each dish was prepared with great care. The food here is really tasty! This time, I stayed in a room with a private open-air onsen bath

The onsen quality here is very high; the spring water isn't heated, allowing you to soak while enjoying the view of Mount Tanigawa

The service was impeccable in every detail, including specially provided pajamas and decaffeinated roasted tea served at night

I could see the snow-covered mountains, fields, and the cozy house a little bit, so it was a really pleasant morning!! Breakfast was different from other hotels, not a cheap buffet but a private meal~~ I ate a small amount because it was breakfast, but I ate a whole bowl and the tsukemono was so delicious that I had another bowl of ochazuke

The service was exceptional! The staff took very good care of us and organized us a nice dinner, although all restaurants were closed

We stayed at Yado Kanzan to celebrate our anniversary, and it was truly one of our most cherished experiences. The snow-covered mountain view from our room was breathtaking and set the perfect tone for a peaceful stay

In the evening, we were treated to a beautiful shakuhachi performance, which added a deeply authentic and memorable touch to the night. The food was exceptional every meal felt thoughtfully prepared and delicious

One of the highlights was the private hydrogen spa with a mountain view, which was incredibly relaxing and special. The hospitality throughout our stay was outstanding, every detail was handled with care and warmth

Upon check-in they even wiped the wheels of our suitcases. Bathroom is shared but private, which is when you use it to take a shower/ hot spring, you can lock the door and enjoy the whole bathroom for yourself

Everything was just perfect!! We would absolutely love to visit again

Anyway, the stay at Micasa was comfortable, warm, cosy and surprisingly the both meals were very good. I will come back next time and book the room with its own onsen tub. Can't wait for winter to be back again

Quaint place with great food kaiseki dinner, great onsen. Very quiet town with nothing much to do which is good time to connect. Stay was fantastic.

It was truly an unforgetable stay. The rooms came with breakfast and dinner. So yummy and we were so full from the amount of food served. I booked the room which comes with an outdoor private onsen

And highly recommended to rent a car if you come here because I don't think the public transport is convenient. They have free parking right in front of the Ryokan

The Japanese-style room in the East Wing was small, but it had all the necessary bathroom facilities, and the shower equipment wasn't too old. Dinner was excellent and catered well to tourists' tastes

Located quite far from the main town. If you’re driving a car then you can choose this ryokan. Otherwise you’ll have to adjust your timing according to their shuttle bus service. Service and amenities is good

The location and view are stunning. The service and foods are very good. The room is kind of smelly. I think they put us in smoking room while we asked for non smoking.

Full disclosure; I'm a Ryokan newbie so treat these comments with a grain of salt. This is one of the best stays I've ever had. It is a very small Ryokan with only 9 rooms

Because there are only a few rooms, the number of guests is inevitably smaller than at other inns, giving the impression of a more relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are stylish with a modern Japanese feel

Really nice Ryokan in an awesome location. We booked a room with a private onsen but also took advantage of one of the other baths that's available to all the other rooms (these baths are still used one at a time)

Is a lovely hotel with the best mountain and cottage vibes. Dogs are adorable,very clean and polite. Room is cozy, clean and spacious. Dinner and breakfasts are also very good

We stayed two nights and had a lovely and memorable time. Perfect if you love dogs as you are instantly greeted by 4 beautiful Goldys. The food is so delicious as well! We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and breakfasts

A beautiful clean hotel nestled in the mountains with private hot spring baths and golden retrievers for guests to interact with. We had a wonderful stay and our 2yr old was very happy playing with the dogs

We are the family of five with grown up / teenager children. We look for the outdoor activities rather than a stay in luxurious hotels. This place offers us ideal 2 night stays for the weekend

Friendly and responsive Mr Kinta. All are good, less commercial than the main hotel at resort, feel like home and cosy. Have laundry and cooking pantry, good fit for family stay

The minor thing is that the wall in room can consider a bit scratchy. Overall love the stay and will return if coming back to Naeba

Kinta and his family are very great hosts. The breakfast every morning was a delight. Evening dinner meals were even better. All in all an absolutely top hotel experience

Mr. Kinta is in his 70s, strong and talkative; Hotel Kinta has big rooms, is not far from the ski resort, has complete ski equipment and delicious breakfast. I will go there again next time.

The environment is very warm, Kinta san is very friendly, and the location is very convenient to the ski resort. I highly recommend it!

The ski resort is right at the hotel's doorstep, which is super handy, and if you're lucky, you might even catch some powder snow. It's also easy to get to the nearby Kagura ski resort

A big old hotel with everything you need. A proper ski in and out facilities. A lot of food choices with reasonable prices. Eventhough the hotel is old, everything is clean and well maintained

Wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel provides a shuttle bus from Echigo Yuzawa station therefore it is very convenient via Shinkansen from Tokyo

This is our second time visiting Naeba, and while the hotel is a bit older, it's incredibly convenient for families with kids. They have everything you need: restaurants, a convenience store, and shops selling ski gear

The hot springs are great, good value for money, and the surrounding environment is also excellent

The hotel's location is excellent, right outside the ski slopes, which is incredibly convenient. The nearest ski resort doesn't have many runs, mostly beginner-friendly, perfect for leisurely and family ski trips

It has been an amazing place to spend with families , kids facilities and ski areas are very close to the compound and have 2 open onsen . They provide free shuttle to downtown echigo -yuzawa station

After contacting them via Line, I discovered the owner was a Chinese woman who had been working in Japan for many years. During our conversation, they patiently and kindly answered all our questions

Must arrange for shuttle bus pick up to/from Echigo Yuzawa station because you'll need their help to cross the snow with your luggage while you walk through the tunnel

It wasn't until October that we finally focused on Echigo-Yuzawa. Searching around the train station, trying to find ski resorts and accommodations suitable for beginners within a limited budget was incredibly difficult

After repeatedly searching on Google Maps, I unexpectedly discovered a cluster of guesthouses nestled in the heart of the resort. One of the businesses had a friendly Chinese website

The hotel facilities are excellent, and the food is superb. However, it's a shame that the hotel is only for two-ski boarding

Location wasn't the best but they made up for it with frequent shuttle bus services. Tip top 5-star service and always willing to go the extra mile to help. Definitely worth the price.

Coming out of the west exit of Echigo-Yuzawa Shinkansen Station, there's a free shuttle service that runs every 10 minutes or so in the morning, and every 20-30 minutes in the afternoon

We had an amazing time at NASPA New Otani — this hotel is a fantastic choice if you’re visiting Yuzawa, especially for a winter getaway! The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay, making us feel right at home from check-in to check-out

We had come here to Ski which was wonderful as the resort comes with its own ski garden and lift passes which we were given (so generous and kind thank you!), there is also a lovely onsen onsite for hotel guests to use (free)

All the meals were delicious and very kid-friendly. My son and I both loved every dish. The hotel only has four rooms, so it feels very private and quiet, which I really appreciated

The breakfast was delicious, but the elevators were crowded during breakfast and check-out times. On busy days, you may have to wait for the elevator to load multiple times, so make sure you allow plenty of time.

The dining area at Chuo-Maebashi Station is a 10-minute walk away. The breakfast staff were extremely welcoming and the atmosphere was great, with a focus on Japanese cuisine

Just over an hour from Tokyo by bullet train, I discovered this wonderful inn where you can easily enjoy exquisite course meals and fantastic hot springs—it truly feels like arriving in a paradise! Though nestled in the mountains, it's close to the bullet train station

Really convenient location near the JR station. Staff are super friendly with some Chinese speaking staff at the front desk. The breakfast is super yummy and well prepared

We r Hongkongers staying for several nights, checked out on 7 Mar 2026, we personally think that this is a great hotel and the price is very good all the "required" facilities / services are there, the outdoor spa, staff help u make up beds everynight, help u make up rooms, there is ski rental very cheap price for hotel guess we ordered both meals (breakfast + dinner), saved us lots of time wondering...

This is a hotel I'd definitely stay at again. It's super close to Yuzawa Station, just a 3-minute walk away. All the good restaurants in town are basically right around here

We are not allowed to wear our own shoes once we enter the lobby. If we are expected to walk bare feet, maybe the hotel should consider providing guest with indoor slippers

Comparing to Japanese hotels it's ok but comparing to European hotels you will feel the difference. Rooms are quite small but clean

Very good for relaxing and food are good

I stayed in the hotel 10 years ago, and this time the hotel is as good as it used to be, room is large and tidy, and the service is also great.

It snowed heavily while we were there and the staff are super attentive - they asked where we were headed to and suggested for comfort, that we wear the hotel's rain boots as they knew my partner's shoe wasn't waterproof/suitable to walk through the snow

There is a lounge with coffee/tea in the mornings and alcohol and snacks in the evening. There is also a playroom (suitable for infants to 6years old). Service is top notch, everyone is so helpful and friendly

7 eleven right next to the train station and New Days inside the train station. We loved every single thing about this charming lovely hotel and we will definitely be back if we are in Echigo Yuzawa

There are four onsen baths on the 6th and 7th floors, each with both indoor and outdoor pools. The two onsen on the 6th floor even have special medicinal baths, which were so relaxing
