The front staff is very helpful. The ski is very good.
2 bunk bed, include very proper breakfast, best view and ski ground inside the hotel,
Try the outdoor onsen in winter so amazing
The breakfast & dinner buffet are very good
It was great. The hotel was close to the slopes, so it was convenient. I was surprised to see some people coming with normal tires.
If you're a foreigner, a translation tool is essential because the staff don't speak English, or their accent was hard for us to understand. When we couldn't communicate, they seemed annoyed (90% of the staff didn't smile at us). There was an older staff member who was friendly, especially the one handling ski activity bookings. 🤬🤬 Absolutely terrible.
The food was mediocre, not much variety or taste...
The outdoor onsen is top-notch, the ski resort is great, and the breakfast and dinner are amazing – the food is delicious and varied, perfect for families. There are so many activities, you should definitely stay two nights.

Great experience, the hospitality of the hotel staff was wonderful. Stayed 2 nights with family with a 9yr old and had a great time. Would stay here again! *****
Pretty decent hotel . Not the best rooms but a good place to stay if you wanna be right at the ski slopes for a good price . The dinner buffet was amazing they had crab legs breakfast was pretty standard buffet
Rooms are Japanese style. Did end up with some random bugs in the room but good deal for the price
Got the room that included a shower in the room . Some rooms do not have a shower in room
The location is good. You can ski right away when you get out of the hotel. However, the room is…somewhat okay. Our room was a Japanese style room with bathtub and toilet in one room. At first, they gave us the room without a bathtub, which was not we reserved. Talked to the front desk staff, showed the confirmation email and then they changed our room. The toilet door has some cracks as you can see...
Friendly people, basic coffee and good you can get near the ski area.
The lift is right in front of the hotel, making it a great location for visitors to Iwahara Ski Resort. This time, I only used the restroom, not stayed overnight... But the staff were still very helpful. There are old-fashioned table games, giving it a very Showa-era feel, but it is well-maintained. The restroom I used was also clean.
Rooms are good. But meal is not so good.

The hotel is pity old but the location is convenient, the rental shop outside the hotel is highly recommended, they were nice and provided free ride for us to the ski resort.
The location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk from Echigo-Yuzawa Station. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so it's not a problem if you don't book breakfast or dinner at the hotel. The room is very spacious and comfortable, and the semi-open-air bath is fantastic. The public bath is also great and very large; the women's area has two indoor baths and one outdoor bath. The...
The room was beautiful and had a lovely Japanese aesthetic. All the staff were very friendly. As a skier, I really appreciated that the ski shop on the slope offered ski and boot storage, as well as waxing services for a fee. The shuttle bus to the ski resort right down the hill was super convenient.
The buffet was a bit pricey. The slope was a bit scary, almost slipped. The hot spring was great, large, and beautiful. The room was spacious and comfortable.
I've stayed here many times! The service is excellent, and you really feel at home. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I enjoyed the hot springs every day, which was wonderfully relaxing. They also offer complimentary amazake daily, which is delicious. The free lockers for luggage are a huge convenience. Plus, it's incredibly close to the station – practically right outside!
The hotel is visible right after exiting the west gate of Echigo-Yuzawa Station. You have to walk up a short slope to reach it. The hotel's hot spring was incredibly comfortable, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious! They even offered free amazake and coffee in the afternoon.

Really convenient location near the JR station. Staff are super friendly with some Chinese speaking staff at the front desk. The breakfast is super yummy and well prepared. Some facilities are a bit older but still very clean.
Friendly staffs, nice and clean. Good location
Being very close to the station is a huge plus. The open-air bath on the 3rd floor is a must-visit!
The hotel is a bit older, but it is very well maintained and exceptionally clean. The location is perfect—extremely close to the train station, which makes traveling very convenient.
The food and service were outstanding. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. Both breakfast and the traditional kaiseki dinner were beautifully prepared with great attention to detail, and absolutely...

Meals were delicious and enjoyable.
Hotel is a bit run down and little sound proofing you can hear laughing and talking of people outside your room. The hot springs also face bullet train station.
Expensive, not really worth the price.
This is a hotel I'd definitely stay at again. It's super close to Yuzawa Station, just a 3-minute walk away. All the good restaurants in town are basically right around here. The room was really comfortable, and they even provided freshly ground coffee and a great selection of tea sets so you could brew your own. The hot spring was fantastic; the public bath was already so relaxing, and the private...
Good service, free coffee, ramen and ice cream. Also their onsen very very very niceee, enjoy alot when staying there!
We are not allowed to wear our own shoes once we enter the lobby. If we are expected to walk bare feet, maybe the hotel should consider providing guest with indoor slippers.
It is very uncomfortable walking to the restaurants barefeet as no matter how clean they keep the floors, there’s bound to be food spills and oily surfaces.
Breakfast and Dinner are great, just need more variety for guests staying...
The location of hotel is close to JR station and some ski equipment rental shop. Hotel staff are friendly but some are not able to communicate in English fluently. We reserved a room included dinner and breakfast with various choice. They also provided free saki during dinner session. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and will be back in future.
I'd noticed this onsen hotel last year while skiing at GALA. It's really convenient, right on the hot spring street, and a very traditional Japanese onsen hotel.

This is the highlight of our trip in Japan. The food, service, cleanliness, location, room and the access to the loungue is just perfect. It was hard to leave this hotel at the end of our trip.
We enjoyed the inclusive services a lot.
The private onsens were amazing and our room had a very great view.
Nice room and onsen bothe private and in room, enjoy stay and Kusatsu atmosphere.
Free beer, soup, ramen, private onsen!
Highly recommended. Definitely worth the money. (Free) shuttle service from/to Karuizawa saved us much time. All the onsens (including the one inside the room) are enjoyable. Definitely will visit again.

It's incredibly spacious and pleasant. Among all the ryokans I've visited, this one is definitely top-notch. The food is delicious and the service is excellent.
I booked the highly-rated Bouun Ryokan three months in advance, supposedly in business for 462 years! The interior decor and tatami rooms were surprisingly new. The room service, the dining environment for dinner, and the exquisite Kaiseki cuisine were all incredibly impressive. We stayed for two nights, with breakfast and dinner included. The hotel uses only the finest Japanese ingredients, and not...
The facilities are up to standard. But the location is a bit far from the centre of the attraction. Need to walk up the slope for getting to the hotel. So rmb to need call shuttle bus to hotel. The overall service met our expectation, but not exceeding. More specifically, other onsen hotel can provide similar service, maybe more.
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious, but the heating was a bit insufficient. The public hot spring was excellent, and the private bath was also good. Dinner was very generous, but breakfast was too simple.
The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, about a 10-minute walk from the bus station. You can call the hotel for a pick-up, as dragging luggage uphill yourself can be a bit strenuous. The room layout is typical for a classic onsen hotel, nothing special but perfectly adequate. We only booked breakfast, and it was surprisingly delicious. We made the reservation just two days before, so we didn't have high expectations, but the meal was a buffet with local dishes and we were very satisfied! Everyone in the family was happy.
This time, I chose this hotel with the sole purpose of enjoying the hotel.
I stayed in a room with an open-air bath and dinner and breakfast included.
Sparkling wine was provided in the room, and it was sweet, so even I, who usually don't like wine, enjoyed it very much.
The buffet had a wide variety of options, both in the evening and in the morning, and I was very satisfied.

Now Resort was very polite and kind, attentive, greeting, customer service, everything was the best.
However, the room I booked through Trip was changed because it was not suitable for families.
Children were not allowed.
I did book a room for children.
I have photos and details.
In the end, I paid just under 70,000 yen in addition to the payment to Trip to change the room (;;)
The room was very nice...
The hotel is clean and tidy. The hotel has excellent Onsen baths with hot spring water. You can book a separate room with a bath, this is a 24-hour service. The hotel has a shuttle service to the center of Kusatsu. We booked a stay without meals, went to the center. In the rooms they give clothes and slippers in Japanese style
When I arrived, the door was under renovation, but everything else was fine.
Although it is a little far from Yubatake, there are minibuses that shuttle back and forth every 15 minutes. The food is very good, which is a bit unexpected. The hygiene is very good, and the hot springs are both indoors and outdoors, which is a very good experience. The environment is very good. It is very close to Tenguyama Ski Resort. In addition, there are free drinks in the lobby. The hotel's...

It was one of my best hot spring resort experiences in Japan. Everything was perfect. Its hot spring quality was the best. I have enjoyed outdoor hot spring during a snowy early morning, which I couldn’t forget. It was so fascinating experience. Food was great and surroundings were also very beautiful. I would come back here again next summer or fall.
Website stated Dinner and breakfast will be provided
But actually the hotel gave you Coupons to buy dinner box in their shop ! They should tell us the arrangement when we booked the hotel so that we could prepare our dinner before Check In ! Also , the hotel even Not provide Ciffre in the morning
A great stay near Nikko. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the hot spring was very relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The surrounding nature was beautiful and peaceful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant experience and good value for money.
Decent and reasonably priced. They offered microwavable bento boxes since the restaurant was closed for the winter.
The hotel is quite new, and the room is very spacious. We enjoyed soaking in the hot springs at night and strolling along the Onsen street during the day. It's very close to the Yumoto Onsen Ski Resort, which was great as it was mostly locals skiing there. The only downside is that it's a bit far to get to; you have to take the bus and get off at stop number 45.
The place is next to the bus stop at No.45. In winter, there is no food service. You have to eat frozen food. Onsen is good.

The food was absolutely delicious, and you could tell that a lot of care went into preparing every dish. The staff were friendly and courteous. The hot spring water quality was superb, although the hot spring facilities themselves felt a bit dated. Our room was also very clean and tidy, and the surroundings were tranquil and peaceful.
Although the hotel room was very dated and worn, we were pleased with the food and services. For the cost we paid, I think it deserves a four out of five star. We booked this hotel for overnight stay as we hiked from Ryuzu Cascades to Oku Nikko. The hotel ground is clean and staff spoke well English. The onsen water was amazing, milky blue colour with indoor and outdoor pools. However I felt crowded...
Had a wonderful time here in October. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Several spoke quite good English. Overall service was 5/5. The facilities were clean but a little old and worn down. Onsen was quite enjoyable. Would give it 3/5. Dinner and breakfast were incredible, the food was definitely a 5/5.
Flawless overnight, not for the first time, at Yumoto Itaya. Warm service, fantastic half board and a comfortable room, all surrounded by snow covered mountains. Can't wait until next time.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Service was amazing ! Rooms were spacious and comfortable
Ambiance: Excellent, surrounded by trees, very secluded and tranquil.
Facilities: Very good. The breakfast was Western-style, but quite ordinary for a 5-star hotel standard.

This was a wonderful hotel with really comprehensive service!
When I asked a young man at the front desk to arrange a car to the station, his attitude was cold and he made excuses. Another lady at the front desk quickly arranged it for me instead.
The room terrace during the autumn foliage season is truly dreamlike, beautiful in different ways both at night and during the day! It's worth coming just for the terrace and garden alone!

We loved our stay here. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and the room was beautiful. The entire hotel maintains a sort of romantic vintage feeling but has completely updated bathrooms and every sort of modern amenity one could need. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Karuizawa.
Very quiet and near a beautiful nature stream
We stayed here for just one night, earlier in the summer. The hotel itself is not new but immaculately maintained and the rooms are decorated in a simple but very tasteful manner. We had the best sleep ever on those beds. Absolute heaven. And, the prix-fixe dinners and the breakfast (selection of Japanese, American, or continental with fresh salad) are a can’t-miss. Would love to return.

The cabin felt like being in a forest, perfect for a summer trip. However, the facilities are a bit dated, making the experience less comfortable. I should have booked a room in the main building. That would have made accessing the hot springs and gym much more convenient.
there is a great experience to line in Hotel West, Prince Resort, especially, the Hot Spring where is clean and is easy to make customers relax.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo Karuizawa. The hotel offers great value for money, and I was really impressed by the design—the atmosphere and attention to detail throughout the space are fantastic.

The only downside is the breakfast—there aren't many options, and the taste is just average. The location is a bit remote, but there is a Lawson and a few restaurants nearby. Want to give a shout-out to Ryu, who helped us communicate with the transport company when they sent us the wrong snowboard. Our stay wouldn't have been so lovely without Ryu and the team. Thank you!
I'd seen some reviews saying the facilities were a bit old-fashioned, but I actually found them to be perfectly fine. It was clean and hygienic, and the staff were very welcoming. Since it was winter, there weren't many tourists, so it was wonderfully quiet.
