The hotel was very clean, the service was attentive, the food was delicious, and the value for money was extremely high.
Great ryokan, the staff are incredibly kind. They will take good care of you. They have a private onsen, which is a plus. The rooms are large, clean, and traditional. You can still have a Western-style bed if you prefer. Very well located, very close to the train station so you can quickly drop off your luggage. They provide a yukata, geta, and an unlimited pass so you can enjoy the onsen as much as...
Fabulous and beautiful hotel Hotel Onsen is great and staff were wonderful making it a perfect stay. The food in the evening was so well prepared and included all of the regional specialities with crab and oysters. Fun to walk the streets and enjoy the public Onsens for a true Japanese’s experience. We were so lucky to also be there for Autumn festival !
Rooms were very traditional BUT with private toilets and Western mattresses, the latter of which I especially appreciated as I can't sleep well on futon. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating and I recommend having the breakfast included. They feed you well and it's a unique experience if you're not used to traditional Japanese breakfasts.
We had a wonderful stay. Our room was an authentic stay. They provided great customer service, clothing was fun to wear and private onsen was a plus. I will return again and recommend to friends.
Very welcoming staff, they put in a lot of effort and little special touches to make our stay memorable. Would definitely stay here again.

A cheap and good quality hotel to stay at kinosaki onsen. I recommend it
A remarkable traditional Japanese Ryokan experience. This is not a large hotel but every detail has been thought of. We stayed in the “double” Japanese/Western room. It worked very well. The Kaiseki dinner was outstanding. Two nights really wasn’t enough. It is quite expensive but you really get what you pay for. This was my favourite hotel in Japan. The three “private” Onsens were also lovely...
convenient location and good communication staff
This is the budget version of the property, away from the main property, but for anyone looking for a no frills stay, this place is exactly it. Relatively modern room and very clean. Size of the room will be a squeeze with large suitcases, will recommend bringing smaller hand carry bags if possible.
We stayed in the additional wing, quite modest accommodation, could have been a little cheaper, otherwise everything was great!
Thank you so much for this lovely expierence with our familiy at your Ryokan in Kinosaki Onsen. It‘s been a wonderful time 🙏

It was a truly unique and atmospheric experience! I loved that they met us right at the train station — such a warm welcome. There’s a whole wardrobe of yukatas to choose from, which makes the stay even more fun. The dinner was wonderful and very atmospheric, and the private onsens inside were just perfect. The staff were all so kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Other than the peculiar old smell, I had a good stay without any inconvenience. It is a place with friendly staff and delicious food. I would 100% visit again. The four free private baths in the guesthouse were also very nice. I arrived a little early, but it would have been best if I could have checked in early.
Would recommend to everyone! Great onsen and perfect service. Will be back again!
It was a wonderful experience! Everything was clean, a wide range of yukata for women and beer/cola compliment for men. Some staff people speak English, everything was so convenient. Kaiseki dinner was marvellous, we are still processing it)) It was a pleasure!
There are 3 private hot springs, the cutest is the duck with 100 that one, so that outside there is a free package to the outside male elephant bath, dinner and breakfast is quite good, very rich. One thing to share is the wrong number of people, we were originally a family of three large and one small 2 years old, but the mistake of four male surnamed adults made our meal fee increase more yen 17...
The hotel is an old house but the rooms are quite big and clean. The food for one night and two meals is okay, and if it is a more expensive hotel, the food will be more exquisite. The hotel is right next to a public bath and has 4 private baths, which is quite convenient. You can walk to the station, but the hotel has a bus pick-up. Overall, I think it is good value for money and exceeds my expectations...

Breakfast was included, but the grilled flounder was small and I wish it had been a little bigger. However, I still had coffee after the meal before leaving.
The food (breakfast) and service were both excellent, and I plan to return next month.
Friendly and clean accommodations, close to the station. They also helped me call taxis. Breakfast was simple but excellent. Thank you.
The hotel is reasonably priced, though the toilet threshold is a bit high, so elderly people should be wary, while younger people are more vulnerable.
The location is convenient, the rooms have all the amenities you need, and free parking is available.
This time, I couldn't get time off and only stayed one night, but it was very convenient as it was close to the station.
I'd like to use it again.
This was my first time staying at the hotel, so it was much better than I expected. There are many shops around the hotel! I didn't feel inconvenienced.

Excellent service! The driver specifically came to pick me up at the station at 2:00 PM.
Near Kyoto station. Very good breakfast buffet but very crowded and busy with tourist.
Everything was perfect! Very tasty crab dinner, excellent staff and cleanliness everywhere. I recommend it
This elegant Japanese-style inn boasts spacious and refined rooms and a comfortable onsen (hot spring bath). The meal package includes two meals a night, featuring luxurious and delicious dishes. During the autumn and winter seasons, a snow crab feast is served. The inn is a 10-15 minute walk from Kinosaki Onsen town, and the inn provides complimentary tickets to seven outdoor baths in the town.
Quiet and beautiful place located shortly outside of the busier parts of town. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food and onsen were great.
I'm very pleased with my stay in this ryokan. The staff speaks English quite well. Spacious rooms in traditional Japanese style with futons as beds and have a kotatsu. In-house onsen is on the level of great onsens of the town, with outdoor parts, which are most cozy that have the addition of cold water bath for contrast experience. My group of four friends had a very good stay at this hotel. It is very well maintained, located in a great location and provides great service. I previously stayed here with my family in end 2024. It is still as good.
good place for rest, private onsen so awesome.
The service was very attentive, but it's a shame that the hot spring facilities are old and lack a view.
Although the hotel isn't right in the heart of Kinosaki Onsen, the town is small, so getting around is easy and convenient for visiting the seven public onsens. Don't forget to get your stamp at each one and collect a small gift back at the hotel! The hotel also has its own hot spring bath, it's not huge, but it's usually quiet as most guests go to the seven public onsens. Guests can enjoy a private...
Awesome hospitality :) nice hotel overall :) wanna come back!!
The hotel staff and service were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the facilities were excellent. I stayed in a nostalgic tatami-style room, and the hotel even made up the futon for me in advance.

I was able to relax. I also went to the outdoor bath, but the indoor bath was the most relaxing. After the bath, I was able to enjoy alcohol, wine, coffee, ice cream, etc. while reading a book, which was great.
Delightful ryokan with lovely gardens, large and comfortable rooms, wonderful staff, on-site onsen and only a short walk to restaurants and all the sights of Kinosaki-onsen!
Supernice hospitality!!!

Nice and cosy Ryokan, with courteous staff that provides excellent service. We were welcomed at the hotel by several staff members, who were very kind to our family, and they made a lot of effort to serve us in English, which is very good for us foreigners. Hotel Kinparo is indeed the star of this trip. Location is a little far from Kinosaki Onsen and knowing a little Japanese when u contact the hotel will be great. They can arrange to pick u up from JR Kinosakionsen station.

The staff were very polite and I enjoyed my stay.
The hotel was a little far from the center, but the shuttle service was well managed and I had no problems.
The room was clean and the view was better than expected, and the indoor bath was spacious and relaxing.

The three sisters went back to Kinparo after 20 years. The emotions they felt before came back to life, and they recalled their memories vividly, and they were happy while enjoying the hot springs and eating a wonderful kaiseki meal.
Excellent room view and delicious breakfast
The hotel is older and about an 8-minute drive from the town center. Note that the last shuttle from the hotel is at 3:30 pm, because in summer the shops in the town begin to close at 4 pm.
The room is very large, with full sea view and sunrise.
The breakfast is delicious and unique. The service staff is enthusiastic and the dining experience is pleasant
It was very convenient as it was adjacent to Kinosaki Marine World. The room felt old, but the view of the ocean from the window was beautiful.
The large public bath was also clean and we enjoyed it. However, we were a little disappointed that both the bath towels in the room and those in the large public bath had a slight smell, like they had been dried in the shade.

A very good location right across family mart and nearest to Di Yu Tang. Right adjacent is a bbq, seafood cafe.
Overall, it is a very well maintained ryokan majority of their floor is tatami. Which also means u cannot roll ur cabin size in its premises. Their staff will help u carry it to ur room.

The room does not have a bathroom, so you need to use a public bath.
A hot spring hotel, Kinosaki also has six major hot springs, but the male staff at night said that bath towels need to be charged extra, which is puzzling
The room was large, the bed was very comfortable, and the whole town of Chengqi Onsen was very cozy and pleasant. I loved it. There are many restaurants worth eating at, such as Haizhongyuan, a pub run by a mother and daughter/daughter-in-law, all of which were very good, and the coffee and breakfast sandwiches at No.1 were also very good. This was my first visit, and I was absolutely captivated by the unfamiliar scenery and the charming, old-fashioned streets. The staff at the inn were incredibly attentive, always making sure I felt comfortable and well-guided. Hearing 'itteらっしゃいませ' (have a good trip/day) when leaving was a lovely touch. It's a place I'd definitely want to return to.

The food, baths, services… everything was amazing. Our attendant, Guang was really nice and helpful during our entire stay. We’ll definitely be coming back!
This was one of our highlights on our trip to japan. Maya was an amazing host and always went above and beyond our expectations. The entire staff was polished and professional. We even got a visit from the owner during our amazing dinner. Truly made our honeymoon special. Thank you so much!
The rooms appear to have been renovated, but the harmony of modern and Japanese styles makes for a simple yet comfortable stay.
The food was satisfying in both taste and quantity. We stayed in the summer, but are considering staying in the winter as well.
As a westerner, this went far beyond a hotel. It was an experience and an incredible one at that. The location was perfect and central to everything. The food was delicious and very unique. But the best part was the service. The entire staff went above and beyond and made our stay incredible. I highly reccomend Tajimaya to anyone headed to Kinosaki

I love Tenboyuan so much. The room is super large and comfortable. I recommend the one-night stay with two meals. It's a good stay and the food is delicious. I love Mana and all the reception staff. They are kind, polite and cute.
A really nice place for a night. Price was reasonable. Staff was helpful and the onsens were great. We had dinner and breakfast. Dinner was great but breakfast was ‘sukiyaki’ which is usually a dinner dish which was too heavy and smelled really strong. Staff may not speak English…
It's really great. The service, food and rooms are very cost-effective. The Japanese service is meticulous and it has thought of everything you can think of. The kaiseki cuisine is also quite ceremonial. This is not the most expensive hotel I have stayed in in Japan, but it is definitely the most satisfactory one.

Booked for 2 nights with breakfast and dinner. The room is clean and spacious. The hot bath facilities is awesome. Very relaxing. Breakfast is delicious. But for dinner, it was not what was expected. Perhaps to state what kind of meals will be provided in the description during booking, so that not to cause misunderstanding or confusion.
The hotel is quite remote and quiet, and looks a bit eerie. We stayed in the old-looking parking garage building and had to walk across buildings to get to the onsen. However, the staff were helpful and gave good recommendations. Everything was clean, the bed was soft but looked very old.
A stunning place away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by mountains and the bay. Large room with all the comforts and a beautiful view.
The age of the hotel was nice and charming, but the toilets were smelly and the quality was not commensurate with the price, which was disappointing for someone who works in the hotel industry.
The facilities are a bit old, but the service is excellent, and the food is also good.
The room is super big, 2 super single bed, one dining table and one Japanese style dining area.
The hotel and the facility is very old but the stuff is very polite and provide good service with smiles.

Such an amazing stay. The highlight of my trip to Japan. The Japanese style room was very spacious and comfy. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Location was perfect and breakfast was delicious!
I stayed here for two nights and had such a warm, friendly experience. The breakfast was great and they even accommodated my vegetarian needs. You have the option to rent bicycles at the same front desk you check in at which was also super convenient.
We stayed 2 nights half boards at Koyado Enn. The hotel employs many Nepalese domestic workers, which facilitates English communication, but this also diminishes the Japanese atmosphere.
The food is just okay.
Perfect place with perfect meals and service!

The hotel is located a short distance from Kinosaki Main Street; however, a complimentary shuttle bus provides convenient transport to the local hot springs (a coupon would be offered to try the local hot springs in free of charge). The Main Street is approximately a 10-minute walk away. The property features excellent public onsen facilities and is new and well maintained. Service is exemplary...
The hotel is far from the center of the city. You have to take the hotel bus to city.. The check out time is too early. Breakfast and dinner are too ordinary.
Shinzan is wonderful traditional Japanese Ryokan in Kinnosaki Onsen. I stayed two times there and I would always come back.
I had wonderful stay and unforgettable memories. The level of this Ryokan is outstanding, despite its lil bit outside the main area.
Shinzan offers in house Onsen, which are really comfortable. The rooms are big and bed comfortable.
If you book with breakfast and diner, you will...
We had a fantastic stay at Shinzan. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The onsen is stunning. The staff were extremely kind and helpful right from check in. I will also add that there was a huge snowstorm on our final day. Our train was cancelled and the staff arranged for a bus to take us to a town not affected by the storm. They truly went above and beyond. Highly recommend!
I stayed in the kinosaki onsen town for total of 4 days, and only spent 1 night here. I paid $515 USD for two people, so it was rather expensive and although it’s a great one time experience, I don’t think it was so spectacular that I’d pay that price again to repeat.
If you’re looking for an onsen town experience, I think you can stay at a cheap guest house and rent yukata from one of the shops and...
Amazing place! Great food and big breakfast!
Be sure to check out the outdoor onsen that is upstairs and outside! It's extremely beautiful and peaceful. We almost missed it because it was through a very unassuming looking door. They change the onsens every day at midday so you'll be able to check out both Onsen (only one has that outdoor upstairs onsen thats beautiful but both have an outside onsen...

The building and facilities are old. The food is so-so.
As for the service, it's a shame that there isn't an electric kettle in the room.
Overall, it was a traditional hot spring inn.
Great services, location, and meals
The location is right in the middle of a tourist area facing the river, making it perfect for visiting public baths. The building is old, but when I entered the clean and well-maintained entrance, I felt the hospitality of the landlady. Free covered parking is available a short distance from the hotel. Even though I arrived much earlier than the check-in time, I was welcomed warmly, parked the car...

The staff are nice, however, after entering the room it’s quite terrible due to smelly and very humid. Besides, you can’t find the outlet plug for your electric devices. There are many spots needed to be improved, because all the food for breakfast everyday is the same. There is not much choices and only very few vegetables. The food quality is just fair. If any other hotel choices I definitely...
Convenient stay at Blue Ridge Hotel, front desk staff hospitality is one of the best I’ve received despite the language barrier.
Amenities are slim but what they do have is top notch. Shuttles are available to/from the ski resorts and nearest JR station, and are synced to opening/closing/arrivals/departures. Onsen is a great plus in winter trips, and the outdoor bath is a beautiful snow filled forest...
Friendly staffs and welcoming smiles.
Can take “Bus to Kannabe” to stop around here.
The resort has the nostalgic feel with imported Europe furniture.
Rooms were larger compared with modern hotels. Soft comfy beds. Separate bathrooms and large mirror.
Should include breakfast and dinner if visiting here as there’s limited restaurant(one🥹) nearby.
There’s free service for Bicycles use and sports.
Closest...
A quiet hotel in the forest It feels old, but the rooms are spacious and I really like the country feel. The hot spring is good, and the open-air bath where you can enjoy the starry sky is also nice. However, the only way to go down from the second floor to the first floor is by stairs, which are quite steep, so it may not be convenient for the elderly. The food is buffet style for both dinner and...
Spacious room. Several vending machines around the hotel. Ski and snowboard gear rental and transport to the ski trail. A real nice hotel if you are planning on going skiing and or snowboarding. However checking first if the ski area open is highly recommended. When I went there, there was only one ski area that was opened, that was even a man-made snow.
Nice and spacious. The hotel is surrounded by nature. The environment is quite and peaceful yet you can find what you need in the vicinity of the Hotel!

Had a lovely stay here. The onsen was excellent and very relaxing, and the ryokan room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the stay even more pleasant. Breakfast was delicious and nicely presented.
The location is probably 10 mins walking distance from the train station and the popular public onsen area, but the free shuttle service made getting...
The service was top-notch, really warm and friendly, and they could communicate in English. Dinner had a fantastic variety of food. Just a heads-up, there's no bathroom inside the room itself.
A lovely hotel and wish to revisit, the room are fantastic, it's good combination between western and Japanese style with big room and bed. Also including complimentary of all drink in fridge (both water and alcohol drink). Although the staff could not communicate in English, but they are pleased to help us. There is free shuttle bus to public bath area. Breakfast is also delicious and beyond our expectation
A great location. Amazing view of the river. A massive amount of food for breakfast and dinner. Gave us free champagne for girls' trip and some freebies like leg fatigue plasters. Staff do not speak much English, but we get by just fine with simple translation via apps. Visited more by locals and is wheelchair friendly.
It’s a very nice onsen hotel in Kinosaki with great river side view from the hotel room. You can also choose many different pattern of Yukada from hotel offer to walk around the onsen town and enjoy the different types of onsen. The hotel staffs are warm and very helpful, we had good time staying in this wonderful hotel in Kinosaki.
A great ryokan. Huge rooms, excellent service. They will meet you, arrange dinner, give you haori and geto. The hotel has a perfect atmosphere, a very cool onsen and a chic relaxation area with massage chairs. This is the very unique experience that is 100% worth the money. And also a cute stork's nest from the window :)
