Plesant experience: Special thanks to Suzuki san for helping us with wearing the rental Yukata and it brightened the entire stay with us wearing cute kimono with ready ribbon-like Obi around the onsen town. We enjoyed strawberry bought from Wadaya and tasting delicious croissant at PARADI watching Sakura bloom although it was on our last day of our stay. Thanks to our 1st day dinner server (he is so...
Very nice, will come back again
The room is spacious and can accommodate three people. The facilities are new. There's a free shuttle bus service from the JR station. For the two nights, dinner was kaiseki cuisine, featuring snow crab on one night and fish on the other. The hot spring town also offers plenty of dining options.
The hotel is clean, and the staff are friendly, with most speaking English. Dinner is served seasonally and is of above-average quality, while breakfast is a buffet with limited variety. The hotel has one outdoor and one indoor hot spring, but the hot spring area is rather small.
The hotel service and environment are excellent, offering a free shuttle service from the station to the hotel. The meals and private hot springs are highlights, making for a perfect overnight stay with two meals.
The entire hot spring town also has six public hot spring pools, each with its own unique features. There are many charming little shops along the street to explore, offering a tranquil...
Due to heavy snowfall, both trains and buses were canceled, which put me in a difficult situation. However, thanks to the hotel's thoughtful assistance, I was able to get to a station where the subway was still running, allowing me to continue the rest of my trip in Japan. Thank you! Also, the crab course dinner was absolutely delicious.

Excellent service and authentic atmosphere
As expected of a Relais & Châteaux hotel and a century-old Japanese establishment, the facilities, dining, rooms, and service were all top-notch in Kinosaki Onsen. I particularly loved the hotel's Japanese garden and large public bath, as well as the excellent service and dining. It was a pity that I missed the snow crab season; only the rooms were a bit dated.
This is a near-perfect hot spring hotel! As soon as I exited Kinosaki Onsen Station, someone immediately called the hotel's private car to pick me up and take me to the hotel! I booked a room with its own open-air bath, which was incredibly enjoyable, allowing me to enjoy the private onsen at any time. Since my check-in day was my birthday, the hotel thoughtfully provided me with a small gift and celebratory...
The best hotel in the Kinosakionsen. The best hotel in Kinosakionsen. The service and food are much better than American hotels such as Rizt Carlton and Marriott in my hotel experience, and better than Japanese city hotels. Ms. Ito Nanaho, who takes care of the room and dinner, and another lady with glasses who takes care of breakfast, all provide excellent services and deserve great praise. I will...
The old Japanese hotel has a beautiful courtyard and warm service. Dinner was kaiseki cuisine eaten in the house, one dish after another, and it took two hours to eat. The private soup in the yard can be soaked at any time.
A very good stay experience! The room is larger than the average hot spring hotel. It is very comfortable for three people to stay. It feels very good to eat in the restaurant in the room! Dinner and breakfast are all served with fresh seasonal ingredients, ingenious cooking and exquisite presentation. They are absolutely delicious and delicious! Highly recommended!

The hotel is located a short distance from Kinosaki Main Street; however, a complimentary shuttle bus provides convenient transport to the local hot springs (a coupon would be offered to try the local hot springs in free of charge). The Main Street is approximately a 10-minute walk away. The property features excellent public onsen facilities and is new and well maintained. Service is exemplary...
The hotel is far from the center of the city. You have to take the hotel bus to city.. The check out time is too early. Breakfast and dinner are too ordinary.
Shinzan is wonderful traditional Japanese Ryokan in Kinnosaki Onsen. I stayed two times there and I would always come back.
I had wonderful stay and unforgettable memories. The level of this Ryokan is outstanding, despite its lil bit outside the main area.
Shinzan offers in house Onsen, which are really comfortable. The rooms are big and bed comfortable.
If you book with breakfast and diner, you will...
We had a fantastic stay at Shinzan. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The onsen is stunning. The staff were extremely kind and helpful right from check in. I will also add that there was a huge snowstorm on our final day. Our train was cancelled and the staff arranged for a bus to take us to a town not affected by the storm. They truly went above and beyond. Highly recommend!
I stayed in the kinosaki onsen town for total of 4 days, and only spent 1 night here. I paid $515 USD for two people, so it was rather expensive and although it’s a great one time experience, I don’t think it was so spectacular that I’d pay that price again to repeat.
If you’re looking for an onsen town experience, I think you can stay at a cheap guest house and rent yukata from one of the shops and...
Amazing place! Great food and big breakfast!
Be sure to check out the outdoor onsen that is upstairs and outside! It's extremely beautiful and peaceful. We almost missed it because it was through a very unassuming looking door. They change the onsens every day at midday so you'll be able to check out both Onsen (only one has that outdoor upstairs onsen thats beautiful but both have an outside onsen...

Fantastic stay in the center of Kinosaki Onsen! It's very conveniently located between all of the onsens and only a short walk from the train station. The food served was incredible, rooms were very clean, and had a traditional Japanese feel. To top it all off, an Onsen pass was included. The owner is incredibly friendly and your enjoyment is their top priority. Highly recommend for an overnight stay...
We had a wonderful stay at this family-owned ryokan. The owner and staff were so kind, and we loved the chance to try the kotatsu and onsen. A full vegan menu was provided for us for dinner and breakfast, which was beautifully presented, filling and delicious. We booked through Visit Kinosaki tourism site to arrange this vegan option and were so glad to be catered for. This is the first time in four...
The service was incredibly lovely—friendly, warm, and genuinely caring. They took such great care of us and were always ready to help with everything.
The location is perfect, making it so easy to walk to each hot spring and nearby restaurants.
The room itself was charming and cozy. I honestly wished I could pause time and never have to leave.
Another highlight was the private onsen, which was absolutely...
Morizuya was more than just sleeping accommodations, it was an entire experience. From the moment we entered they welcomed us and immersed us in their culture. To our surprise, included in our stay was a kimono rental, and tea ceremony upon arrival, which we loved. The hotel staff and main host were excellent and had such attention to detail. The public baths were conveniently available for private...
I stayed at Morizuya with my young family. The proprietor, Hachi, greeted us at the door as we arrived and ensured that we had photos. He was kind and engaging, and all of the staff at Morizuya ensured that our stay at the Ryokan was nothing short of spectacular.
The Ryokan is perfectly situated in the centre of Kinosaki, with one of the public onsen nearby, and the others a short walk away.

The service is very good. This is my second time staying here. Everyone in the hotel welcomed me very well, especially Mr. Hashi, the owner of the hotel. He took care of us in everything. Breakfast was included, but the grilled flounder was small and I wish it had been a little bigger. However, I still had coffee after the meal before leaving.
The food (breakfast) and service were both excellent, and I plan to return next month.
Friendly and clean accommodations, close to the station. They also helped me call taxis. Breakfast was simple but excellent. Thank you.
The hotel is reasonably priced, though the toilet threshold is a bit high, so elderly people should be wary, while younger people are more vulnerable.
The location is convenient, the rooms have all the amenities you need, and free parking is available.
This time, I couldn't get time off and only stayed one night, but it was very convenient as it was close to the station.
I'd like to use it again.
This was my first time staying at the hotel, so it was much better than I expected. There are many shops around the hotel! I didn't feel inconvenienced.

Excellent service! The driver specifically came to pick me up at the station at 2:00 PM.
Near Kyoto station. Very good breakfast buffet but very crowded and busy with tourist.
Everything was perfect! Very tasty crab dinner, excellent staff and cleanliness everywhere. I recommend it
This elegant Japanese-style inn boasts spacious and refined rooms and a comfortable onsen (hot spring bath). The meal package includes two meals a night, featuring luxurious and delicious dishes. During the autumn and winter seasons, a snow crab feast is served. The inn is a 10-15 minute walk from Kinosaki Onsen town, and the inn provides complimentary tickets to seven outdoor baths in the town.
Quiet and beautiful place located shortly outside of the busier parts of town. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food and onsen were great.
I'm very pleased with my stay in this ryokan. The staff speaks English quite well. Spacious rooms in traditional Japanese style with futons as beds and have a kotatsu. In-house onsen is on the level of great onsens of the town, with outdoor parts, which are most cozy that have the addition of cold water bath for contrast experience. My group of four friends had a very good stay at this hotel. It is very well maintained, located in a great location and provides great service. I previously stayed here with my family in end 2024. It is still as good.
good place for rest, private onsen so awesome.
The service was very attentive, but it's a shame that the hot spring facilities are old and lack a view.
Although the hotel isn't right in the heart of Kinosaki Onsen, the town is small, so getting around is easy and convenient for visiting the seven public onsens. Don't forget to get your stamp at each one and collect a small gift back at the hotel! The hotel also has its own hot spring bath, it's not huge, but it's usually quiet as most guests go to the seven public onsens. Guests can enjoy a private...
Awesome hospitality :) nice hotel overall :) wanna come back!!
The hotel staff and service were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the facilities were excellent. I stayed in a nostalgic tatami-style room, and the hotel even made up the futon for me in advance.

Delightful ryokan with lovely gardens, large and comfortable rooms, wonderful staff, on-site onsen and only a short walk to restaurants and all the sights of Kinosaki-onsen!
Supernice hospitality!!!

Nice and cosy Ryokan, with courteous staff that provides excellent service. We were welcomed at the hotel by several staff members, who were very kind to our family, and they made a lot of effort to serve us in English, which is very good for us foreigners. Great ryokan, the staff are incredibly kind. They will take good care of you. They have a private onsen, which is a plus. The rooms are large, clean, and traditional. Fabulous and beautiful hotel Hotel Onsen is great and staff were wonderful making it a perfect stay. The food in the evening was so well prepared and included all of the regional specialities with crab and oysters. Fun to walk the streets and enjoy the public Onsens for a true Japanese’s experience. We were so lucky to also be there for Autumn festival !
Rooms were very traditional BUT with private toilets and Western mattresses, the latter of which I especially appreciated as I can't sleep well on futon. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating and I recommend having the breakfast included. They feed you well and it's a unique experience if you're not used to traditional Japanese breakfasts.
We had a wonderful stay. Our room was an authentic stay. They provided great customer service, clothing was fun to wear and private onsen was a plus. I will return again and recommend to friends.
Very welcoming staff, they put in a lot of effort and little special touches to make our stay memorable. Would definitely stay here again.

The three sisters went back to Kinparo after 20 years. The emotions they felt before came back to life, and they recalled their memories vividly, and they were happy while enjoying the hot springs and eating a wonderful kaiseki meal.

The breakfast is delicious and unique. The service staff is enthusiastic and the dining experience is pleasant
It was very convenient as it was adjacent to Kinosaki Marine World. The room felt old, but the view of the ocean from the window was beautiful.

The room does not have a bathroom, so you need to use a public bath.

The room was large, the bed was very comfortable, and the whole town of Chengqi Onsen was very cozy and pleasant. I loved it. There are many restaurants worth eating at, such as Haizhongyuan, a pub run by a mother and daughter/daughter-in-law, all of which were very good, and the coffee and breakfast sandwiches at No.1 were also very good. Absolutely loved staying here, the kindest people, such luxurious rooms and amenities, close to everything but still quiet at night to be able to sleep well. So much fun to try new foods as well, the dinner and breakfast they served were so beautiful, thank you guys so much for taking such good care of my family.
The food, baths, services… everything was amazing. Our attendant, Guang was really nice and helpful during our entire stay. We’ll definitely be coming back!
This was one of our highlights on our trip to japan. Maya was an amazing host and always went above and beyond our expectations. The entire staff was polished and professional. We even got a visit from the owner during our amazing dinner. Truly made our honeymoon special. Thank you so much!
The rooms appear to have been renovated, but the harmony of modern and Japanese styles makes for a simple yet comfortable stay.
The food was satisfying in both taste and quantity. We stayed in the summer, but are considering staying in the winter as well.
As a westerner, this went far beyond a hotel. It was an experience and an incredible one at that. The location was perfect and central to everything. The food was delicious and very unique. But the best part was the service. The entire staff went above and beyond and made our stay incredible. I highly reccomend Tajimaya to anyone headed to Kinosaki

Booked for 2 nights with breakfast and dinner. The room is clean and spacious. The hot bath facilities is awesome. Very relaxing. Breakfast is delicious. But for dinner, it was not what was expected. Perhaps to state what kind of meals will be provided in the description during booking, so that not to cause misunderstanding or confusion.
The hotel is quite remote and quiet, and looks a bit eerie. We stayed in the old-looking parking garage building and had to walk across buildings to get to the onsen. However, the staff were helpful and gave good recommendations. Everything was clean, the bed was soft but looked very old.
A stunning place away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by mountains and the bay. Large room with all the comforts and a beautiful view.
The age of the hotel was nice and charming, but the toilets were smelly and the quality was not commensurate with the price, which was disappointing for someone who works in the hotel industry.
The facilities are a bit old, but the service is excellent, and the food is also good.
The room is super big, 2 super single bed, one dining table and one Japanese style dining area.
The hotel and the facility is very old but the stuff is very polite and provide good service with smiles.

Great location, delicious dinner
The location is very close to JR Kinosaki Onsen Station, about a 10-minute walk. The hotel dinner was good and great value for money. The hotel also has an onsen (hot spring) area, which was fantastic and incredibly relaxing because it wasn't crowded.
