I stay here twice a year, and I get bitten by mites almost every time. The food, location, and service are all good, but it bothers me. This time, I was bitten in over 30 places, including my hands and stomach. (The sheets and duvet covers are well-starched and look clean, though.) I recommend bringing sheets and towels from home. I was able to relax. I also went to the outdoor bath, but the indoor bath was the most relaxing. After the bath, I was able to enjoy alcohol, wine, coffee, ice cream, etc. while reading a book, which was great.

The room is spacious and can accommodate three people. The facilities are new. There's a free shuttle bus service from the JR station. For the two nights, dinner was kaiseki cuisine, featuring snow crab on one night and fish on the other. The hot spring town also offers plenty of dining options.

As expected of a Relais & Châteaux hotel and a century-old Japanese establishment, the facilities, dining, rooms, and service were all top-notch in Kinosaki Onsen. A very good stay experience! The room is larger than the average hot spring hotel. It is very comfortable for three people to stay. It feels very good to eat in the restaurant in the room!
