Hotel Mount Fuji, Yamanakako1 / 30
9.0
Chubu region, Yamanakako, 1360-83 Yamanaka, Yamanashi-ken, 401-0501 🧭 Map
Very nice mount Fuji view and onsen facility. Room space is big and gorgeous hotel. Like it and definitely will stay the hotel again.
Highly recommend! You can soak in the hot springs while gazing at the stars, moon, and Mount Fuji. The sky is so clear, and the views are absolutely unbeatable. The front desk service was attentive, and the food was excellent too! Nice!!! This will definitely be my go-to hotel next time I visit Mount Fuji.
The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Shirotori Beach, and they offer convenient shuttle service up and down the mountain. You can get a close-up photo with Mount Fuji from the hotel, and we even saw the beautiful 'Pink Fuji' phenomenon. The guy at the front desk is from Shanghai, and he was very friendly and easy to communicate with, helping us pick a room with a great view. Being able...
This hotel boasts an excellent location. The open-air onsen offers stunning views of Mount Fuji, while the starry sky onsen allows you to gaze at the night sky. The hotel provides a shuttle bus service for transfers up and down the mountain, and there's a small convenience store on-site. The room features a twin bed along with a Japanese-style tatami mat. The breakfast is extensive. A must-stay when...
The hotel is beautiful, but its location on the mountain makes transportation a bit inconvenient. Luckily, the hotel offers a shuttle service. Just make sure you take the bus to Lake Yamanakako (Fuji Hotel Entrance) station and call for a pick-up from the 7-Eleven. Don't go to the wrong bus stop like we did, it delayed us for quite a while!
The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, and there's a shuttle bus service.

The advantage was that the room was spacious, with plenty of room! The entire room and bathroom were clean and tidy! The downside was that the young Japanese staff member at the breakfast restaurant was extremely rude. He stood there glaring at us, practically forcing us to leave the restaurant by 9 AM! Honestly, I understand needing to leave on time, but this staff member didn't understand that guests...
An older hotel, but very clean and great for watching the sunrise.
This time we were on a self-driving trip. There were 4 of us, and we rented 2 rooms. The rooms were very spacious, and the front desk staff were extremely polite. It took about 25 minutes to drive to eat. Overall, we were very satisfied.
Has hot springs, and the service is quite attentive; basically, it has everything you'd expect.
My stay here truly exceeded my expectations! ✨ As soon as I walked in, I was soothed by the whole atmosphere. The space was quiet and elegant, completely unlike being in the city center. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – I fell asleep instantly the moment I lay down. 😌 The view from the window was also a huge plus; pulling back the curtains in the morning really...
Nice hotel with big room and near to the hill/jungle. Cool temperature...

We stayed here for my birthday trip. The manager, or someone like that, gave us a very detailed explanation, and we also had breakfast, which was delicious and served by truly warm staff in the dining room! The view from the room was also superb, and the public bath was spacious and relaxing. It wasn't noisy at all; time just passed by so peacefully. It really soothed my soul. It seems like they...
Highly recommend!! The room was spacious and beautiful! Thanks to the hotel for upgrading our room, which gave us even more space ❤️ All the staff were very kind and friendly, thank you!!
A very nice and clean hotel with friendly service
I will be coming again by next year and I will booked this place again
We stayed in hotel mifuji to watch the ice candle festival that was held yesterday Feb 22, 2026. We were supposed to stay for one night but because of the hospitality of the receptionist and also the hotel has a pool table that my partner liked, we extended for 1 more night. It’s good for guest with cars.
We arrived quite late that day, and the staff at the front desk spoke Chinese. I forget why, but they specially upgraded our room and had already turned on the heating for us. The whole guesthouse was very spacious, and perhaps because it was a weekday, the public bath was practically empty – which was amazing! I absolutely love these old-fashioned Japanese tatami rooms. Although it's a bit remote...

No elevator, and the facilities are a bit dated. You can hear people talking next door. Otherwise, it's okay.
We stayed here on a family trip. (Breakfast included.) The food was delicious, and my kids were very happy with it. However, the lighting in the room was dim, and I wish they'd turned on the air conditioning before check-in... The humidity and heat were a bit overwhelming when we got to the room. Other than that, it was fine.
I've stayed here several times with family and friends, and I think it's a great hotel with cleanliness and excellent hospitality. I love the amazing view from the restaurant, and the breakfast there is delicious. The rooms are spacious and clean. I'd like to stay here again when I visit Lake Yamanaka. The owner was also very kind and accommodating.
Large space for the two-bed room and the view is quite good since the hotel situated in the wood area of the town. By the way, the manager is a wise gentleman who is always ready to help :)
It is located in a quiet villa area, but you can get there by paved road from National Route 413. The bathtub is very small and the toilet does not have a washlet or even a heated seat, but there is a washlet in the shared toilet on the first floor, so you will not be inconvenienced. WiFi is available. You can get hot water in a pot if you ask. The breakfast was very delicious. You cannot see Mt. Fuji...
Although it is a bit old, it is very clean and the environment is also very good

The room was clean and the duvet was very warm, and the electric heater worked well. The shared bathroom had a small hot tub, which was fantastic! I had it all to myself when I used it, which was a real treat. The breakfast was simple yet delicious, and again, I had the dining room all to myself!
The couple who run this place are so bright and energetic, they really made my morning a pleasant one.
Very good! It's super close to the sunrise viewing spot and the bus stop. There's also a large 7-Eleven nearby, and breakfast is included. The room was really warm too. It was my first time staying in a tatami room, and I found it quite comfortable. I really liked it!
Overall, it was very comfortable. It must have been below zero outside that day, but the room wasn't cold at all. All the rooms now have air conditioning, so there's no kerosene smell as some might have experienced before. The only minor drawback is the limited snack options. Maybe a vending machine could be installed? But you can always grab snacks from the 7-Eleven by the station.
The accommodation is very close to the Yamanaka Hirano bus stop, which makes getting around super convenient. There's a convenience store nearby, but sit-down restaurants are a bit hard to find. They use an oil heater here, so there's a strong smell of oil. But if you're not bothered by that, I'd say the room is spacious and comfortable to sleep in. I visited on December 20, '68. It was raining that...
An old hotel with an old, kind owner. You can see Mount Fuji from your window in the morning, offering excellent views. It's a cozy hotel well worth recommending, and I plan to stay here again next time! 👍

Thank you for kind hospitality, having a great time to stay 3D2N with Rokumeikan Hills and I fully recommend this cozy place if you prefer slow paced biking and lake seeing
We stayed here as a family of four in February. The kids were excited about the bunk beds. The room, toilet, and bathroom were all clean, and the window had a great view of Mt. Fuji, but the air conditioner was installed directly above the shelf that served as a closet, so the warm air didn't reach the floor below and my feet were always cold. I thought I had to make a reservation to use the large...
Beautiful spacious rooms with the most gracious hosts and incredible views of Mount Fuji! Loved every moment staying there. On arriving the hosts provided delicious fruits and sushi as refreshments. Rooms are big and very comfortable.
Just amazing My friends and I stayed here for one night during what was supposed to be the peak time for Sakura in Lake Yamanakako. This place did not disappoint despite the Sakura being shy. The view from our room And the rooftop was incredible, the owners and workers were also incredibly kind and attentive. Overall we felt so grateful for our experience.
I appreciate the warm hospitality from the staff, particularly Ms. Mitsuyo, who assisted us with everything we needed. She provided helpful information about the surroundings, and both the dinner and breakfast were excellent. The breathtaking view of Mount Fuji over Lake Yamanaka added to the overall experience. The property is serene, quiet, and peaceful—ideal for anyone looking to recharge during...
Such a nice place with really hospitable staff. They gave us free fruits as room service. We had some extra fruits so they actually packed it with ice while we were checking out. The place has a nice view of mount Fuji which is visible from your balcony. I'll surely recommend it for your stay near Yamanalako lake

Great service and nice environment
Very cost-effective, suitable for business travel
Geographical location: Not very convenient, but the hotel has an open-air parking lot, which is suitable for self-driving tours. Hotel environment: clean, no odor in the room. There is a hot spring that is only open at night, you must try it.
The accommodation is good, but if you don't have a private car, it will be a bit difficult to travel. The hotel and staff are friendly. If you want to eat food, you have to make a reservation. Dinner in that area closes a bit early.
Overall it was a very good experience. Check-in was supposed to end at 22:00, but because I called in advance to inform them of my late arrival, the front desk waited until 23:00. Thank you very much. Please ignore my messy luggage.
Great place in the middle of yamanakako - ok if you have a car but might be tricky to come via public transport. Amenities wise they have a common area with table tennis tables and a onsen. they also let you rent bicycles to go cycling around the lake. Rooms were spacious and great for big groups. Only downside is the kettle that takes 30min to boil

I stayed here because I wanted to see Mt. Fuji from Hirano Beach in the early morning. The living room was upstairs, and the bathroom and bedroom were in the basement, so it felt like home in a good way. And of course, it was very clean. I'd love to stay here again!
Some of the facilities in the room are not new, but they work well without affecting the use. There is a bathtub for taking a bath. Overall, it is very good. The location is very good. Lake Yamanaka is right outside the door. The scenery outside the window is also very beautiful. Compared with the crowds of people at Lake Kawaguchi, this place is more like a hidden paradise. There are few restaurants...
I stayed on October 1st, but the next morning, when I opened the window curtain, I could see Mt. Fuji well. Thinking about this, I went to the lakeside, which is a park, just across the road at about 6 am, and took a picture of Mt. Fuji seen from the lakeside. You can't easily meet such a good location.
It was a place rich in nature, and I was satisfied that the facilities could be used like a villa. The barbecue in front of the facility is the best.
Great service and the villa is huge
Really nice place to stay and relax. The locals are nice, the air is crisp and the views are beautiful. Bring cash just in case! They also have breakfast for 5-7 bucks delivered to your rooms. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, I would recommend this place if you want a nice view. Please be weary the staff speaks very limited English, creating a possible headache.

Warm hospitality and 5-star service from the hosts! We had breakfast and lunch and enjoyed all our meals thoroughly.
Beautiful little lodge, nice homely feel and fantastic service. I recommend the breakfast. Thank you so much for your warm welcome - will stay again
Absolutely wonderful stay! Both the common areas and room were beautifully decorated and welcoming. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back.
My husband and I stayed here for two days and one night (breakfast only) with our three-year-old and newborn son. The bath, toilet, and sink were very clean and we felt safe using them. The room was also very well-cleaned, and our newborn son was able to crawl around without any problems. The homemade yogurt and jam for breakfast were delicious and we had a wonderful, relaxing time. It was a wonderful traditional experience at Shiki No Yado Hiiragi! The room was clean, the toilet and shower were also clean. We enjoyed a lot this place. It was fun to make or own futon in a tatami room. We were blessed to see Fuji-san from our room ! And after checking out my boyfriend lost his bag so all the adorable women who run this place were so careful and even call the cafe we went earlier...
Beautiful traditional guesthouse on lake yamanaka. The location is perfect to enjoy the little town and walk/bike around the lake. Super close to 7/11 store and quality restaurants!
Excellent location — situated right at the entrance of Lake Yamanaka. It’s only a 4-minute walk from the bus stop for local or express buses from Shinjuku Station. There’s also a 7-Eleven next door to meet your basic needs. The bathroom facilities are shared, but I was lucky to have them all to myself for two days. For those who enjoy bathing, there’s a bath tub available. The lake is right across...
Really really lovely owners. I went into the wrong room and made a mess but they didn't frett at all. It's not new if that's what you want. But the facilities are really well kept and sparkling. (I think they clean after each patron uses the shared shower, so it really just feels like a private one and doesn't feel shared at all) The parking is really convenient and the location is perfect just opposite...
Genuinely caring owners, who don't speak too much English. Yet that doesn't matter at all, communicating is still easy. I enjoyed my stay a whole lot.

The owner is so nice! Room and living room are beautiful and clean. Also the view from the window is surprising. Thanks to the owner took us to the restaurant at night, we had a really really amazing experience! ❤️❤️
This was my first stay, and the view of Mt. Fuji from my room was fantastic! Dinner was served at my own pace, which I really appreciated. The food was truly delicious and made me feel happy. The staff at the guesthouse were very attentive and considerate. It's a guesthouse I'd definitely want to stay at again.
The rooms and hallways were very clean, and the service was warm and welcoming. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and plentiful. It's conveniently located near Lake Yamanaka by car. It made for a wonderful summer vacation memory for my grandchild. Thank you for your hospitality.
The food was delicious!!! I had both dinner and breakfast, and they were both absolutely delicious. Dinner was especially amazing, and I was surprised that I could get a full course meal for just that much extra on top of a room-only stay! The fish dishes were especially delicious. Breakfast was also delicious, with sandwiches and French toast. Fruit was included, which gave me energy in the morning...

This is a diamond in the rough. It’s a bit out of the way; but if you plan ahead, it’s fantastic. I wanted an “authentic experience”, and this is as legit as you can get. This is the contryside; don’t expect “modern amenities”. Get a cab or plan your bus rides. They do have WiFi, but the old school charm, is irresistible.
Lovely hotel, very friendly helpful staff, great food, excellent onsen
Correctly "Shuzanso" in Japanese. Cozy atmosphere with delicious dinner and hot spring.
Nice resort, clean and big room. Good onsen and delicious meal. Reasonable price. Free parking.
We drove from Tokyo to the hotel and got these amazing views. Good services and they tried to help you with English translator app. The prices inclusive of dinner and breakfast, ensure you be on time!. They don’t allow me to add my homemade chili powder.. poor me T_T..

They have very beautiful and cozy cottages, right infront of the lake. The bus station is a 3 minutes walk. It’s so spacious. Overall a great value for money, though my room heater wasn’t working even after a repair. Their restaurant is a bit on the pricier side.
Stayed for two nights and the food was very good, but it was a bit inconvenient to have a BBQ outside in the cold weather. The cabin was warm and very close to the station. The staff was very nice
Amazing cottages with spacious and comfortable sleeping areas, including hammocks, couches, and an outdoor sitting area. Each cottage is equipped with a car parking area, a fireplace, and a grill. Additionally, the location is convenient, with nearby stores such as the 7-11 in front of the campus. However, one downside to our rooms is the big hole in the middle of the bedroom. Overall, this hotel is...
