The parking lot is spacious and, since it's not on a main road, it's easy to access. The front desk, being a small hotel, has a cozy, homey feel. Freshly ground coffee, hot chocolate, amazake (sweet sake), and candy are available for free in the lobby. The hot packs were also appreciated. When the weather's nice, you can roast marshmallows outside, but since the weather wasn't great this time, we roasted...
I went with my preschooler and we had a wonderful time. Overall, there are plenty of services for children. It's very spacious, with a kids' space with a wide variety of toys, lots of picture books, baby baths and step stools available for rental, children's tableware available for rental, and a children's bath and bath toys (women's bath only) in the large public bath, so they were able to have a...
Good traditional food / old but warm , I love it .
This hotel at the foot of Mount Fuji was absolutely stunning! The room faced Mount Fuji directly, and opening the curtains in the morning revealed a breathtaking view of the "upside-down Fuji." The free onsen (hot spring) was incredibly refreshing! The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Lake Kawaguchiko. While a bit pricey, it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone...
It is convenient to drive by yourself. The staff is friendly. I originally chose the view of Mount Fuji, but I couldn't see Mount Fuji due to the snow. However, I saw a deer walking around in front of the window. The breakfast and dinner are acceptable to me. It is very close to Lake Yamanaka. I will definitely come next time.
We booked a mountain view room. When we opened the window, we could see a forest. We could barely see Mount Fuji through the gaps in the forest, so we didn't really need to worry about the mountain view or anything else. The quilt looked old, but it was still clean. There is a free hot spring, the pool is not big, and it is on the second floor.

The location is quite remote, which may not be convenient without a car. The private onsen facilities feel a bit old and could use some upgrading. Overall, it’s a quiet place, but expectations should be managed.
This hotel is incredibly authentic. The value for money is exceptional. Unfortunately, we had bad weather and couldn't see Mount Fuji from our room, but of course, that's not the hotel's fault. The rooms are clean and cozy; you feel like you've stepped into the Shogun series. The only downside was that the lobby was extremely cold. The hotel shouldn't skimp on heating the common areas.
The accommodation is in a very beautiful and quiet location, a calmer area than Kawaguchiko. We were unlucky, as the weather was bad for both days, so we didn't get to see Mount Fuji. That gives us a reason to come back again!
The room was clean and tidy, and the staff provided excellent service. The hotel's hot spring was also great. It's very close to Lake Yamanaka, and on a clear day, you can see both Mount Fuji and Lake Yamanaka very clearly.
This place is very close to Lake Yamanaka, and its off-street location makes it very quiet. If you're driving, you'll need to set your GPS to Yamanakako Post Office. The staff, especially the younger woman, was very polite and could communicate in both English and Mandarin. The whole place is a traditional Japanese ryokan with a bit of history. Don't expect it to be brand new, but it's clean and tidy...
Overall, a great experience with friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a quad room on the first floor with a beautiful mountain view and a large garden. We could even see Mount Fuji from our room! The only minor drawback was that the shared bathhouse required reservations and each slot was only 40 minutes, which felt a bit rushed. However, the staff were very accommodating and flexible if no one...

Quite place to stay in yamanakako, owner and families are friendly
The surroundings are pleasant, right by Lake Yamanaka.
A very satisfying stop on my trip, Lake Yamanaka! Perfect scenery, excellent accommodations, and excellent meals. I highly recommend booking breakfast and dinner here. Swan Lake and the Hippo Bus Station are right outside, and I even encountered a deer. The teahouse owner was incredibly nice, driving us to a stunning viewpoint of Mount Fuji and giving us delicious peaches before we left. It's also...
The place was kept relatively clean, though some minor hygiene issues are perhaps to be expected in a guesthouse setting. There was no hot water upstairs for washing, so we needed to use the communal shower downstairs. This wasn't an issue though, as it was rarely crowded, allowing us to use it privately during off-peak times. Both meals provided were incredibly generous and delicious. Highly recommended
You won't find a better hotel near Lake Yamanaka. We got an authentic room in traditional Japanese style with a view of a small forest and a hotel pond with fish. The room is warm, with air conditioning, there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. Delicious breakfast, you can order dinner if you wish. The main attraction is the owner of the hotel (don't worry if you don't know languages, he...
The room is very simple and clean. From the facilities to the decoration, it is very Japanese. I saw many Japanese people patronizing. The boss is Japanese and can communicate in English. The boss also has a translator, so communication is not a big problem. Both meals are very rich, so rich that it feels like buying a meal and getting a free stay. The boss is very nice and helps solve many problems...

I love Yamanakako and have stayed around the lake 5 or 6 times over the past 4 years and at various different places. For me and my needs, this was the best place that I have stayed at so far. Reasonably-priced, with a great, lake-side location (and Fuji-san views behind) and easy (walkable) access to restaurants and convenience stores (7-11 is the nearest). Our tatami room was nice and clean and although...
Good receptionist very enthusiastic will come back
Next to the Yamanaka Lake, it's too expensive. The hot spring pool is a bit small, but everything else is fine. This is the most expensive one in this Japan trip, 1100+rmb
It's right by the lake, the environment is good, the transportation is too inconvenient, there is an electric bicycle rental on the left, the boss is nice, you can rent it and ride
The location is first-rate, with Fuji and Yamanakako Mountain outside the window. The environment, service, and accommodation are all fine. The only problem is that the room only has a wash basin and mirror (only cold water, and the temperature outside was about 14 degrees on the day of the stay). There is no toilet or bathroom. Everything is shared. The toilet is shared by the floor (basement and...
The room was clean, the breakfast was average, there was no toilet in the room which was a little annoying at night, but overall it was very good

The location is unbeatable, especially for those who want to get up early to photograph Mt. Fuji in pink hues and the golden peaks. It's a family-run guesthouse, very clean and tidy. A 'secret menu' item is ordering breakfast from the owners – a delicious and nutritious Japanese breakfast. Highly recommend!
Facilities: This is a guesthouse run by an elderly couple. It's about a 3-minute walk from the Hirono Station for express buses, and also very close to Hirono Beach. The rooms are Japanese-style (tatami), and the shared restrooms and communal bath are all very clean. Service: The elderly couple uses a translation device, and they'll explain the house rules during check-in. Overall, it was quite good...
The hotel's location is excellent; it's right across the street from Hirano-no-hama beach, and a 4-minute walk to the bus stop. You can see Mount Fuji from the room, though only the snowy peak is visible due to other buildings in front. The bathroom is like a public onsen shower room, with individual stalls and small stools. The hot spring bath itself is quite small and a bit basic. Breakfast is a...
The hotel was very clean, the rooms were large, and you could see Mount Fuji directly from the window. It was only a 3-minute walk to the Hirano Beach. I chose to stay here specifically to see the sunrise. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, and I was very satisfied with my stay.
The room is a very traditional Japanese room. You can see Mount Fuji from the balcony, and the plain is right outside. The bathroom is shared, you can take a bath, and the shared toilet is also very clean. I will stay here again next time, it was a great stay! The front desk is an old lady and an old man. They don't understand English but have a translator. They also gave us Shingen cakes, which are...
The hotel is right on the shore of Zhongshan Lake. It is very convenient to walk a few steps to watch the sunrise and sunset. The Japanese rooms are clean and you can sleep by making your own bed at night. Public bathroom.

Room is clean, breakfast is yummy, no glass provides for cleaning teeth, limited time washing, not convenience if many families
this hotel is nice and good. location is good and easy to find
Facility is bit old but clean. The ladies made very good dinner and breakfast. Thank you

The location was very close the hirano beach where you can get a good view of mount fuji during sunrise. The only gripe was that during winter there is only 1 shared bathroom which means males and females have allocated shower times. The host were very friendly.
This place is very close to Hirano Beach, and there's a bus stop and a 7-Eleven just a few minutes' walk away. The room was clean and tidy, bigger than it looked in the pictures, and the heating was excellent. The shared bathrooms and toilets were also clean. However, there was no kettle in the room; hot water was available in the first-floor restaurant, along with complimentary tea bags. I'm sensitive...

We were lucky to stay at this wonderful place! It’s very clean and cozy. Not only the place amazed us but the hospitality of the host. The host Yumie is super friendly and helpful; she gave us very useful recommendations. She also surprised us with a brunch basket for the Super Bowl game. Thank you!
Very nice host! She let us check in early, very nice and clean cabin.
If you want something comfortable, adorable, and affordable stay here. It was amazing.
Such a wonderful travel experience to live here! Everything inside this small house. The host is so kind and very glad to help traveler ...and you can ride the free bike just near by the Mount Fuji, it’s really lovely scenery.
I really enjoyed my stay here, it was an interesting experience and I learned few things about living in small spaces with a group of people. The host was extremely helpful and kind, she helped us a lot with itineraries and other travel arrangements.
This is a great place to stay with free bike's. The host Yummi speaks perfect English and goes out of her way to help. Would go back tomorrow.

I stayed here during the Fuji Hill Climb race. The building and rooms are very clean. The bath was spacious and comfortable.
Dear owner, thank you for your hospitality the other day. I was truly moved by the view of Mount Fuji from my room. The location is excellent, just a 2-3 minute walk from Lake Yamanaka, the price was reasonable, the food was delicious and very generous, and I was personally very satisfied with the accommodation. However, just one thing... I think it would be better if things that you don't want small...
We stayed with the smelt experience plan. There was a smelt shop just a minute's walk away, which was convenient. We only stayed overnight, but there were other shops within walking distance, so it was convenient. The bath was reasonably spacious, and since there was only one other guest, they gave us the bath to use privately.

This hotel is quite unique. It serve free breakfast with good quality and dlicious. The environment is good with clean fresh air and just like living a good home in the jungle.
Very charming hotel, we loved everything about it. The view is incredible, highly recommend.
It's has very cosy feel local Japanese Ryokan(BB) style and we love it. Not luxury, not to expensive but suitable if you looking for Ryokan in Fuji Mt. area. Included nice easy breakfast, not big for Americans but it's delicious. The location is not recommend for walking to, if you drive a car it will be perfect (free parking) Some may say it looks old, but to me I would say it looks vintage and...

It's OK. The scenery is OK. It's a bit far from the street, which makes it a bit troublesome to get on and off. It's more suitable for people with cars.
We stayed here after climbing Mt. Fuji! When we asked the landlady about some light sightseeing for the next day, she recommended Lake Yamanaka Flower Park! There were lots of flowers in bloom 🌼🌸, a waterfall, and we were able to stroll through the greenery and soothe our tired bodies! Thank you for your hospitality 😊
