An atmospheric old inn of great charm! My room was a comfortable, well maintained and had great style. I loved the private onsen bath. My husband and I stayed here 4 nights for our honeymoon, and we are so glad we did. The stay includes a private kaiseki dining experience for breakfast and dinner. Tradional ryoken with onsen, right near snow monkey park. The people running this place are nicest and most helpful people. They were welcoming and really elevated our stay. The rooms were warm and confortable. The onsen was relaxing. The ambience of the entire place was just right. Would heartily reccomend.

Very nice room, very hot and good Springs and so kind housekeeper.

Great location close to all the small public baths. A bit far from the main station but still walkable or reachable by bus. The room is clean and cozy with very old Ryokan vibes. The hotel itself has a private bath and public bath with shower. Not very clean but ok. I guess depends on what time you use it. The breakfast is nice and simple, really enjoyed it. The hotel had a Showa-era feel to it, but there was a kotatsu and a kerosene stove in the room, so it didn't feel that cold, but my family said it was cold. It may vary from person to person. I was able to stay cheaply in the hot spring town. This was enough for a night without meals, and I was able to visit 9 hot springs in the town. The building and facilities are a little old, but it has a Showa-era feel to it.

The food was good and the hot spring culture in the town was great, but the hotel was too cold in winter. Very traditional hotel

Room was cold after the oil heater ran out in the middle of the night. The oil heater was not enough for the whole night during the winter time and the hot water in the sink was not working.

The room is clean and tidy, and the Japanese breakfast is delicious
