Front service particularly senior ones are not friendly. It’s far from lift place. Not a ski in and out place. Plus you can’t use lift to store your boards. You have to wear boots to walk down and up two floors. Surely not convenient. BTW food is bad.

Hotel is old, there was signs of termite infection that was cleared. Food was ok. Service was excellent, really everyone there was very helpful! Good location 300m to ski chairs.

We stayed for 2 nights at a room without bath. When we arrived we were a bit concerned because it looks old, but after settling in we found this ryokan to be excellent. The staff could speak English very well and patient to help us with the private onsen bookings. There was also a shuttle bus from Yudanaka station to the hotel. It had an Onsen on sight which was nice. It’s a nice place and close to station. The beds are basically mattresses (futons) on the floor. Really lovely location. Best part is the private onsen. Pick up the key for private onsen from reception if it’s there and use for up to 30 mins at a time. Go back again as much as you like. It’s a really really hot spring, but there’s a cold water tap and it’s really tranquil and pretty.

This is the best hotel for visiting Jigokudani Monkey Park; you can walk there easily. The facilities are a bit dated, but considering I've stayed here multiple times across two generations, it maintains a certain standard. Plus, there's a fantastic indoor heated pool. I've stayed here twice already.

The shuttle service was super convenient, and the location right at the entrance of the Wild Monkey Park is unbeatable. The service was exceptional, and both breakfast and dinner were incredibly generous. So many positives, it's perfect for a short stay.

This is an older, but well renovated hotel near the slopes. It’s an all-in-one hotel too, with a convenience / souvenir store and a massive onsen (with sauna). We enjoyed our stay here; the meals were also pretty good. The old-fashioned steam radiator helped to keep the moisture in the room too, which we appreciated. Thank you for taking care of us!
