Reception helped us proactively for the very late check-in at 10:30pm. The room fixture and hotel facilities are old but within my expectation in that area and price range. It had an Onsen on sight which was nice. It’s a nice place and close to station. The beds are basically mattresses (futons) on the floor. This means very firm so for those who need more padding like my old body it can be a stiff night of sleep. Staff very friendly and for the money for 5 people it was great

Everyone on staff made us feel welcome from the start. Aziz and both ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful and lovely people. We will always remember them abs their friendliness and how nice our stay was. Will stay here again. The onsen is fabulous!

Overall good accommodations - loved the traditional Japanese room we stayed in. It was spacious, clean and quiet.

I made the reservation in a hurry and didn't check it properly, but the hotel is located halfway up the slope, so you will be picked up and dropped off by a snowmobile from the ski resort parking lot. Good service, checks all customer temperature, have nice hot bath, have english information, nice staff, nice dining, nice view , alot of good stuff, but a little old. Food was really good. It was a buffet so quantity was no issue. The hot water bath was amazing with sauna room. The rooms were not top notch per se, but had everything one could ask for. Plus, the whole setup is huge and spacious unlike any other Japanese facility I have been to. Some might say it's old, but I thought it's a little vintage.

One of the most convenient hotels in Ichinose, Shiga. Very close to the cable car, with convenience stores nearby, large tatami rooms, and spacious hot spring baths and storage rooms. Great value for money.

Even though the rooms don't have private showers, the public baths and hot springs are open 24/7, so you can always freshen up. The all-inclusive breakfast and dinner were also thoughtfully prepared in a very traditional Japanese style, with a paper menu provided each evening. The staff were very friendly, and there was a public bathhouse. After skiing, a soak in the bath made all the muscle soreness disappear. Dinner was plentiful and delicious.

The hotel facilities are rather basic and lack overall maintenance. The rooms are okay, but the price-performance ratio is low. It's a 5-minute drive from Jigokudani Monkey Park, and there's a Lawson convenience store nearby.

Great location close to all the small public baths. A bit far from the main station but still walkable or reachable by bus. The room is clean and cozy with very old Ryokan vibes. I was able to stay cheaply in the hot spring town. This was enough for a night without meals, and I was able to visit 9 hot springs in the town. The building and facilities are a little old, but it has a Showa-era feel to it.

Room was cold after the oil heater ran out in the middle of the night. The oil heater was not enough for the whole night during the winter time and the hot water in the sink was not working.

Yoshi san and Seongmi san are the most helpful and friendly hosts you can wish for. Yoshi san is born and raised in the region and literally knows every corner and can tell you where to go (and where to avoid). Stayed in the en suite room and it is superb, with a very comfortable mattress and spacious. Highly recommend and cannot wait to be back!

Nice traditional building in beautiful surroundings. Went there in wintertime, so it can be a bit cold, but still ok. Nice fireplace downstairs to keep you warm. Beds are equipped with curtains and are comfortable.

We came for a couple of days in early March and this area was a definite highlight of our trip! Perhaps it was off season, but it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall the quaint and peaceful vibe of the area really sat well with my smalltown heart compared to the hustle and bustle of the metro areas of Tokyo.
