Front of fukuyama train station, surrounded by restaurants and convenient store.wide and clean room.location is very good.
Direct opposite to JR Fukuyama, however car parking requires an additional fee
Decent hotel, comfortable stay and near to railway station
The hotel is great has wonderful standards of maintenance and house keeping. Staff very friendly and restaurant services excellent. Breakfast was excellent with a great number of choicest dishes. Location superb. Rooms for Japanese standards very good.
Facilities: The single room was a bit smaller, more compact than the twin room I also booked, but overall it was perfectly fine. Big shout out to the ice vendor! Hygiene: Everything was great, from the hotel exterior and parking lot to the interior and the room itself. Environment: The location is excellent! It was pouring rain when we went, but it only took about 20 minutes to drive to Tomonoura...
Good location, with a view of the castle and Shinkansen. Clean hotel and comfortable beds

Pros: Very close to the station, and the front desk staff provided excellent service. The bed was comfortable, and the room was very clean. Cons: Poor soundproofing for the floors and walls, and the room layout was impractical.
Breakfast is amazing! The front counter servers good English communication and hospitality. Very close to the main station, bus station and supermarket.
In the early morning, I could hear the snoring of the guest in the next room, and it bothered me so much I couldn't sleep. What a shame!
The hotel is a block away from Fukuyama Station, a three-minute walk. The advantage is that you can't hear any train noise at all. There's a supermarket and an Animate store on the basement level. The hotel lobby on the first floor is quite nice; the main lobby is on the 8th floor. The room I stayed in was on the top floor, the 16th floor, but unfortunately, there wasn't much of a view. The hotel staff...
It was great. It was truly wonderful. I'm so grateful. I don't know how to express my gratitude.
The breakfast buffet had sea bream rice chazuke, which I thought was ingenious, and of course it was delicious. I was able to start the morning feeling rich and had a good day. I have relatives nearby, so I stayed overnight in Fukuyama City, which was a good starting point for Onomichi - Shimanami - Imabari - Takamatsu Castle. I don't have any photos of Fukuyama, so I'll post a photo of Takamatsu Castle

The hotel room was located only about 5 minutes from the train station and had many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel room was very clean, but when taking a shower had to be careful because the temperature fluctuated when in use. The breakfast provided every morning was okay.
Hotel had everything you needed and nothing more. Not that there was one power outlet on the desk, labeled “24h power”, that would keep providing charge to an appliance even when the key card is not the in room power slot next to the door. Use that if you need to charge something while you are out for the day. Complimentary breakfast was basic but got the job done and it was nice to have different...
The sound of the Shinkansen was a bit annoying.
Easy walking to the hotel from Fukuyama station. The Castle near the station can be easily accessed by walking ( not too tough for me who has a knee issue). I could see Toyoko Inn at the top of the Castle ground. Also the cathedral.

Maybe there were a lot of group guests? It was so crowded that we had to wait in line at breakfast time. Since we had to line up at the breakfast area, I was worried about having to reserve a spot and wandering around with food.

Very friendly, parking sometimes difficult (overbooked), rooms small, bathroom very small.
This hotel experience was fantastic! The location is excellent, with convenient transportation and plenty of options for dining, entertainment, and shopping nearby. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and I slept very well that night. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, check-in was quick, and they even thoughtfully recommended local restaurants. The breakfast...
The hotel is incredibly noisy. There are railway tracks right outside the window, and coal wagons clatter along at 1 or 2 AM, starting again at 4 or 5 AM. The hotel windows offer absolutely no soundproofing. It's like trains are passing overhead. It's the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. This is due to the hotel's location; there's nothing you can do about it. Who would build a hotel in front of...
The hotel has a great location, right next to Fushan Station. The rooms are quite spacious, and it seems to be a renovated older hotel. The only downsides are that the toilet sometimes has a slight backflow odor, and the bathtub drains a bit slowly (though the water pressure is strong). It does have an air purifier, which is a thoughtful touch.
I like the breakfast. A lot of choice and was so nice
Great hotel, nice location and helpful staff. The parking lot was full, but the front desk staff helped us by directing us to the next lot. They upgraded our room when we checked in, which was fun! Great service.

This hotel is such a gem in a charming city like Fukuyama. The amenities are plentiful, the room is really spacious and comfortable. It's a good season to open the windows at night, and even with the train, the atmosphere is really quiet at night. The hotel is on the castle side of the station, and there aren't many restaurants nearby except at the station and the other side. But the walk is not far...
Exactly how a hotel should be, with well thought out amenities that are useful and functional, a convenient location but with quiet rooms and beautiful views from the window.
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in the whole of Japan. Location: The best location. Right beside Fukuyama station, and Fukuyama Castle, with unobstructed views from the room to the castle. Facilities: Free drink bar with various drinks, including an assortment of Japanese alcohol, free flow. Room: Extremely spacious, probably the biggest room in this price range. Reception: Very kind and...
The best hotel I ever stay. Friendly staff. Yummy breakfast. Clean room and most of all you can see the castle from the windows . Free nappies and wipes for baby and a lot of toys and books.
This hotel offers views of Fukuyama Castle, the higher the floor, the better. It's also very close to the JR station, making transportation incredibly convenient.
Extremely satisfied! Great value for money. My window offered a view of Fukuyama Castle, and for the price of a single room, I got a double-sized room, which is incredibly rare in Japan. The location is also super convenient, right next to Fukuyama Station.

Its ridiculous that the air conditioner only comes with warm and wind mode, without cool. And there is no wind even i tuned it the highest. Eventually i had to open the window and asked for a fan, otherwise the room brought u liked an oven.
Rare find in Fukuyama! The room was so big than usual. Many amenities to use and borrow. And the best thing is reception staff was very kind and helpful even with foreigner.
Excellent hotel with big rooms, clean premises and impeccable service. Though location is a bit far from station, still walkable even for family with kids.
Car parking is available without extra fee.welcome drinks are available.hotel is clean and room is big.
The hotel staff is friendly, there is a welcome drink, the breakfast is not very varied but acceptable at this price, there is a free parking lot, suitable for self-driving tours, there is a seria 100 yen store in the isolation area, which is suitable for my wife to buy flat fields, high cost performance, recommended
For me was ok to stay for 2 nights. Rooms are small as usual in japan. I cańt judge about hotel facilities or breakfast, because i really just stayed to sleep.

Even though we arrived late due to traffic congestion and in the middle of the night, they welcomed us with a smile. The room was very clean, and a comb and bath salts were provided. In the morning, they also prepared free croissants and pumpkin soup. They were delicious!! When we left, they opened the elevator for us and saw us off with a smile. I'm really glad I stayed here!!!
Perfect for going out for drinks. There are five bicycles available for free rental. The rooms are small, so if you're traveling with more than two people, it's best to choose a larger room. Even though we'd mentioned that we would be using a wheelchair, we only received a call the day before our stay to confirm any issues in the room. If they had fixed the problem the day after our reservation, we...
It was very beautiful and nice.
It's a nice hotel. I use it often.
The hotel was clean, and the hair dryer and shower head were RIFA and very comfortable to use. However, from about 6:00 on the day of check-out, children's noise echoed in the hallway and was very loud. This continued for about 30 minutes, so I called the front desk and they warned me, but it was still very loud and unpleasant after that. It's not the hotel's fault, but I was a little disappointed...
Free parking fee. Breakfast service is buffet style, 850 yen per person if booked the day before, 1000 yen even on the day. The room is clean and it's a good deal depending on the plan. It would be better if there was a large communal bath.

Close to the train station. Toilet was not well cleaned with hair lying around. It's quite a dated hotel so don't expect much. Plus point is the public bath at 2nd level which gives you a relief after a long day's walk. Good stay overall
I arrived around noon and left my luggage there, and it was already delivered to my room by the time I checked in, which was great.
It was nice that it was close to the station.
Due to a sudden business trip, I had to book a hotel across the street from my usual one. Because there were so many tourists, the hotel rate was higher than usual, but I was surprised by how small the room was. However, as others have commented, the breakfast was clean and good.
Quiet and private beaches are so relaxing, excellent for personal retreat
The elevator was under repair, so I suppose the stress of that was a drawback, but the front desk was too friendly for a hotel. Maybe it's for inbound tourists. The tub bath is interesting if it's your first time, but there were a lot of older guys there so I felt a bit hesitant to try it.

I'm giving it a 4-star rating with the expectation that there's still room for improvement. The breakfast was excellent! It was very comprehensive, so if you stay here, I highly recommend trying it. The staff, though multinational, were all kind and attentive. I went with my 11-year-old daughter, and it was clear that the kids' pajamas were too small. However, I appreciate that they were provided...
There is only a sauna and Outdoor Spa for men. Women only get an indoor warm bath, where the window is covered with stickers so you can barely look outside. It's a shame that nowadays a hotel like this does not add a women's Sauna. The furniture is very old, which is not a Problem, but it was also covered in dust. Very thick layers of dust. It's farther away from the station because there is a parking lot, but the open-air rooftop bath is amazing. There is also a small sauna, and it was great to enjoy the night view from the large public bath while feeling the dawn.

Extremely refined, excellent experience. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the resort ensures to provide the utmost hospitality and kindness. The Ryokans and dinner service were both stellar. I would love to have the opportunity to stay here again.
Excellent hotel! Everything was perfect. We booked the suite room and received special sashimi for our dinner in the room. The staff is very nice and professional:) the balcony is very large in the suite room and you can really enjoy this small seaside Japanese town.
Gorgeous property!! Amazing kind souls. Sadly one downside; the mark up on a $10 wine a Chablis from California a 350 ml half bottle is more than ten fold… to over $100. Thought it was a typo!! Don’t order wine in Resturant in evening is the sad message. Amazing kind souls!! Would return… no question. Request your meal preferences well in advance, quiet, huge contrast to large cities. Enjoy!!!
It is fantastic place with nice view. If coming by car, you'd need to park in different hotel, but they will pick you up and take to this location. The food is also amazing.
Room: One of the best ryokan experience I had in Japan. Room has private bath with balcony over looking the ocean. Beds and room were comfortable and relaxing. The hotel offers a scheduled shuttle bus from Fukuyama Station, which is very convenient. Although I stayed at the Annex, the room was large and new, and it even had a terrace with a sea view. There was no shower in the room; you had to go to the public bath, which was well-equipped and very comfortable. The welcome drink was hot soup and dried fish, which was quite unique. It wasn't a large facility, but it was a very nice inn with a view of the ocean right in front of you. The food was delicious and served in a private room, so I was able to relax. The hotel boasts a beautiful sea view, but the noise from the air conditioning and motorcycles at night makes for poor sleep quality, and the food has significant room for improvement.

I stayed here on a business trip. It's conveniently located near the station. Breakfast is available for an additional fee and includes bread, rice balls, salad, boiled eggs, grilled salted mackerel, and more.
The bread for breakfast was delicious.
A good hotel, located in a quiet area and close to the train station. The staff is friendly. The room is clean.
I stayed in a cheap room on the first floor, but I guess I got lucky that day? It was very quiet. The walls are apparently thin, which was actually a good thing. The breakfast had a good variety, but it wasn't particularly tasty. The rice was hard. I recommend the bread. They had locally made jam, which looked delicious.
The Toilet smelled, I didn't know why the smell wasn't good.
I'm not sure about the breakfast area being in the lobby since there's no dining hall. That said, there are partitions and such, so it looks like the area is separated. The bread was delicious. The coffee was made with a DeLonghi machine, so you could have freshly ground coffee each time. It was delicious coffee. I'd like to order it again next time.

There is a convenience store about 5 minutes walk away, and shopping facilities and restaurants about 10 minutes walk away, so I think you will be able to spend there without any problems.
