Very professional and helpful staff. Hotel public areas and rooms very well kept. Great breakfast, with a good variety of different foods. Obviously an excellent location for transport, being right near the station.
Something to be aware of if you're driving there: your GPS will take you to the front entrance, but the parking structure is down a small alley at the back. There are several car parks in that alley, but the Toyoko Inn one is quite well signposted.

What a terrible experience at Toyoko Inn!
I was assigned a room on the top floor, which was fine at first. However, one hour later, I started hearing a very noticeable low-frequency rumbling sound, buzzing like that. I guess it was the vibration from large equipment on the roof.
I went to the front desk to explain the situation, and they got it right away. They should have been very aware of this major issue with the top-floor rooms. However, they said the hotel was fully booked that day and couldn't change rooms. They just gave me earplugs.
In fact, the earplugs were of no use. And the rumbling sound continued all night! Even until checking out, the noise didn't stop. My head was about to explode!!! 🤯🤯😵😵

The room was nice and very clean and the location was alright given that it is 2' from the station and Matsue is a small town. Though there were enough dishes for breakfast they were more what you'd expect for lunch, the coffee was absolutely horrendous and there was none in the room, get your own.
That said it was a good experience all in all, would go again

Near Songjiang Station, you can take buses to nearby attractions. There is a LAWSON supermarket 100 meters outside the hotel.

The parking lot was full, so I was directed to the affiliated parking lot next door, but I paid 800 yen at the hotel and another 300 yen when I left the next day. No explanation was given.

The only good thing is location. The room is clean but the mattress is very old and the surface is super thin so you can feel the metal parts under your body. Even in cheap hotels they have better mattresses. Only one pillow, and very soft. Sleep quality:poor. Breakfast: very limited and not delicious. Stayed at Dormy inn next door and everything was much better.

I couldn't swipe my room card for two consecutive nights. There was something wrong with the settings, but the hotel is in a good location.
