Not a new hotel, but the view was stunning. We got to enjoy an amazing sunrise from the big windows of our room. The onsen was also very nice.

Not easy to get there as the hotel is situated on a hill, not meant to reach without driving. It is also an old hotel and relatively small room for such tenor, excellent view is the trade-off

This hotel is a very old styled ryokan up on the mountains of innoshima, it feels very surreal to arrive at the location after driving up stretches of mountain paths.

The sunrise🌅 and the Seto Inland Sea seen from the window were beautiful.
The breakfast had a wide variety of items and a gentle taste.
There was also a sauna in the large communal bath, so you could relax after your trip.

Experience the Countryside
I really loved this retro hotel on top of the mountainside. I had the mysterious looking onsen all to myself several times around 9-10 pm and it was so cool. The view is amazing and the food was very good. Just know that you are really in the countryside and to get to Onomichi it is going to take at least an hour using public transit. Taxis are available as long as you are willing to spend a little money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I used this hotel as my home base while doing the Shimanami Kaido and it was nice to come "home" to a hot meal and hot onsen after a full day of biking.
