While my other preferred lodgings were fully booked on a Saturday during the autumn foliage season, I chose this one because it had availability.
The tatami mats in the room had noticeable stains in places, and the smell of cigarettes permeated the air conditioner. I sprayed a lot of Lysol on them and it went away, but the cigarette smell started coming back from the air conditioner. It was a real problem. (I guess they didn't clean the air conditioner filters.)
The good things about this lodging are the spacious parking lot, the soft sandals instead of slippers, and the spacious and comfortable men's bathroom.
The only downsides are the weak water flow in the bathroom shower, and the lack of cushioning on the bedding, which meant I had to turn over properly or I would end up hurting all over.
I won't be staying here again.

It's been so long since I've stayed at a business hotel where I can smoke, so I'm happy and giving it a high rating. However, there's no elevator, so if you have an injured foot or lots of luggage, it can be a bit of a hassle. 💦

I suddenly decided to go on a cycling trip, but it coincided with the National Athletic Meet, and all the hotels were either fully booked or too expensive, exceeding my budget. It was reasonably priced, so I stayed for two nights. They said I could carry my bike inside the hotel. There are stairs, but it's great that I don't have to worry about theft or damage. When I returned from the "Biwaichi" (a rainy hike around Lake Biwa), my bike was covered in mud! I asked if I could wash it, and they kindly let me use the water tap, which was really appreciated. Although it's far from the station, there are convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance, so it wasn't an inconvenience. It's not a large public bath, but it does have a soft water bath (for some reason, it seems to be men's only).

I had to find it in a hurry due to an event that was suddenly decided upon. I don't know what a normal single room is like, but it was a Japanese-style room for two people, and there was no toilet... However, I was able to relax in the indoor bath. It's far from the station, but it's easy to find as it faces the national highway.

It's a slightly older business hotel. If you're prepared for that, you won't be disappointed. The nearest station is Kawase Station on the Biwako Line, but it's far from the station, about a 25-minute walk away. I stayed without meals, but the price was reasonable and there were 24-hour discount stores like La Moo and Lawson nearby, so I didn't have any problems. There is also a men's bath on the first floor, although I didn't use it myself.

Beware! The owner doesn't speak English. When I visited, I couldn't find the hotel, and communicating with him over the phone was nearly impossible. I had no choice but to ask Ctrip customer service for translation. I booked this hotel for the Toyosato Elementary School pilgrimage. It's indeed the closest hotel to Toyosato Elementary School (located between the train station and Toyosato Elementary School). However, there are no taxis nearby, so I had to walk to the pilgrimage site. The owner's attitude and service were acceptable, but the inability to communicate directly over the phone was a real drawback.
