2 star hotels in Kagoshima

My reservation included a sauna, but they said it was closed due to construction. They didn't even apologize or offer a partial refund. I should have gone somewhere else. ㅠ

I was glad that there was a large public bath. I contacted them several times before my stay, and they responded promptly.

The coin laundry was in a different building, which was inconvenient.

It was a nice stay overall, but the walls and door to the room were very thin and I could hear everything in the hallway at all times so sometimes I would wake up to the noise. Because the hotel had no water or electricity, we arranged to stay at Nakahara Villa, a Japanese-style tatami room. The room has 2 beds, has a hot spring, is also located very close to the planetarium, and includes Japanese breakfast. Everything is pretty good. Accept the arrangement.

Great service even during the busy golden week. Very cleanly too. Comfortable bed and everything you need provided. Only complaint is that the laundry space is limited. Only two washers and two driers. And parking is limited. Great location.

Typical APA, decent room though the TV entertainment wasn't free at this particular APA unfortunately . Not the best location for transport as I had to walk 20 min from kagoshimachuo with luggage. Though it's quite close to the ferry if you need it.

Stayed here for two nights over the holidays. The room was nice with a view of Sakurajima. Access to the Sakurajima ferry was also good. The room was worth the price. There was a decent coin laundry. Convenience stores were a bit far away on foot. For breakfast, we went to Gusto, which was a three-minute walk away. The parking lot (additional charge) wasn't very large.

Parking is convenient right outside the hotel. Staff is very friendly. Room is big but a bit old. Only the 6th floor is a non-smoking floor, so the whole hotel also has a strong smell of cigarettes.

The reason for staying here is that it is within walking distance of the Kawasho Hall, you can stay in a twin room, it has breakfast, it is in a cheap and quiet location, you can eat after the concert, and you can take a leisurely stroll. Interesting Japanese onsen experience. For western travellers is a nice way to get insight in traditional onsen culture. Food was so interesting at the restaurant downstairs. Recommend for anyone wanting onsen bath experience, peaceful stay by the water, great views. Really enjoyed cycling around the island using the hotel bikes.

Dinner was awesome, view was nice with quiet streets. Onsen is available but definitely not as nice as the others we had been to.

The sunset was also amazing. Relaxing while watching the sunset over the East China Sea was an indescribable sight. The customers were local and had excellent manners. It was soothing to be able to think deeply. The value for money was also excellent. I'll definitely go again.

The location is good, next to Kagoshima Chuo Station. The hygiene is average. I guess they don't even change the duvet covers, just the pillowcases and flyers. It's next to the railway, so it can be a bit noisy when the train passes by.
