Kisyaba Hotel in Kagoshima

I booked this hotel through a major domestic online travel agency.
To head to the hotel from Kagoshima-Chuo Station, if you're taking the city tram (streetcar), transfer at Gunmoto and get off at Kisaba, which is the most convenient option. You can also transfer at Takami-Baba, but you'll have to cross two crosswalks.
Both routes take about 20 minutes, and if you're paying with cash, please get a transfer ticket. You can travel to and from Tenmonkan without transferring.
If you're taking the bus from Kagoshima-Chuo Station, take the 11 line to Kamoike Port, which takes about 15 minutes.

The hotel is located on the corner of Kisaba intersection, surrounded by many bars and bento shops, and across the street is a mid-sized local supermarket, Taiyo.

The hotel is very small. I spoke with three staff members, all of whom were friendly and helpful. I think the hospitality is excellent.
Smoking is permitted on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and non-smoking floors are on the 4th and 5th floors.
The facilities are generally old and need some gradual renovation. I particularly need to address the mold in the UB bathroom, the exterior windows, and the internal telephone line.

Hair dryers are available for rental at the front desk. While there's a kettle in each room, teacups and tea bags must be provided at the front desk. Coffee service is available in the morning only. A microwave and toaster oven are always available at the front desk.

Compared to the Tenmonkan area and other areas, the room rates are relatively reasonable, and since there are few accommodations in the area, this hotel is convenient for those with business in the area. There are several parking spaces available around the hotel. Please inquire at the front desk if you would like to use the parking space.

I went there for work with a 2-ton box truck.
This was my second time here, and although the parking lot is first-come, first-served, I was able to park.
I was shown to other parking lots, but they didn't have any space for my box truck.
I think a regular car would have been able to park there with ease.
I think it would be great for personal use.

The front desk staff were very friendly, and I had a pleasant stay, just like last time.
The price included parking, and even my company's office staff was surprised.
I would like to use their services again.

The room is very small, old, and a bit worn. The window doesn't open, and the hallway sometimes smells of cigarettes. The only problem is that the Wi-Fi connection is really bad. But the bed is quite comfortable, and for the price, the overall package is acceptable.

Located 3 minutes from Kisaba Station. Morning coffee and bread are complimentary. Low prices. Recommended for solo travelers.

Located right at a crossroads, it was a nightmare to sleep at night because of the constant traffic.

The service was good; breakfast included a cup of coffee and a bread roll.

The Wi-Fi was a bit slow on the first day, probably because many people were using it, but it worked fine for the next few days after most of the neighbors checked out.

The staff were very kind and explained to us that the word "kishaba" means "mounted archery range," as well as other related historical and cultural information.

Good location. Entrance and front area is very narrow!
