Clean, larger than average room for Japan. Good breakfast and right I the centre of the bar, restaurant and entertainment area. really good location and value.

After Okinawa, where I stayed in a quiet area, this area seemed very lively. The room was clean, just as described. All toiletries were provided, as well as a hairdryer, iron, kettle, TV, and air conditioning

The staff greeted me with a smile, even though I arrived late. I can recommend this hotel for more than just a one-night stay. It's within walking distance of various interesting places

I've been using this hotel since they made it but it's never been disappointing. Very clean and tidy room. Breakfast buffet is only 500 yen!

The hotel is very close to the planetarium. There are bars and the like downstairs at night, but it's not noisy.

The hotel is very near to Bunka Toori. The room provides all you need. Facilities are simple but clean and neat.

I had a fantastic 3-day stay at Remm. The staff are super courteous and helpful. I got a room on the 11th floor, so there was a good city-view and the single room was perfect for one person.

Freshly made bonito flakes too! The hotel also has a luggage disposal service as my suitcase broke on the way there, it costed 3300 yen. It was a convenient, clean and safe stay :)

The room was a little small but we managed to make space for 2 large suitcases by moving things around. There is also a massage chair in the room which was a random nice touch

I really recommend the breakfast as there was an all fish option which is great if you're muslim and only eat halal. It gave us the opportunity to try something traditional that I would not have been able to before

The location is super convenient, with the airport shuttle bus stop right downstairs. From the hotel lobby, you can see Sakurajima volcano, which is constantly active, erupting smoke every evening. Definitely worth it!

Very convenient location, can get to the train, tonkatsu, tempura...). The hotel looks brand new inside with a very modern feel to it. Beautiful view of mount Sakurajima from our room window on the 10th floor.

The location is very convenient and the breakfast is good. You can see the volcano from the lobby, but the room is a bit small. Overall, it's pretty good.

The room was decent, not too small. We could fit two suitcases by moving the table. The volcano view was absolutely stunning; we even saw an eruption on our first day, making the observatory mountain feel unnecessary

Upon checking in, guests are treated to stunning views of Sakurajima volcano and Kagoshima city right from their rooms. The hotel boasts an excellent location, nestled close to Shiroyama Park in a tranquil setting

The location is excellent, right outside the JR station. The deluxe room is more spacious, but the bathroom is still very, very small. The bed is quite large and reasonably comfortable. Breakfast is served until 9 AM.

5mins' walk to Kagoshimachuo Station. Could hear trains passing by now and then but it doesn't really affect sleep. We stayed for two nights and got slightly different breakfast options each morning which is a plus!

This is a very nice and convenient hotel as it is 2 minutes walk from Kagoshima Chuo station. The room is small but it is super clean. There is a writing table you can use in the room

Think Toyoko Inn is the gold standard for all budget hotels in Japan, or even all over the world. The room is small but enough to accommodate 2 persons comfortably

The room invironment was good, free WiFi. Mountain was viewable from our room. Station was near around 5 minutes walking. They also serve complementary breakfast.

Location is very close to the JR train station. Many restaurants available at the station. My window has a view is the volcanic mountain.

If you drink, you can probably get a seat here. That said, it wasn't noisy at night. There are vending machines and microwaves on the 5th and 10th floors. There's a washing machine on the 10th floor

Being able to choose my own pillow was also nice. For breakfast, the chicken rice was really delicious and there was a wide variety of side dishes, so I was very satisfied

The hotel breakfast is delicious. The breakfast also has a special ice cream. The evening is also very considerate with limited curry rice.

Kagoshima-Chuo is the central hub of Kagoshima and the southernmost Shinkansen station in Kyushu

Very good! Breakfast offers both Japanese and Western options, available in both the South and North wings. The Western breakfast is served as a set menu. Overall, it's highly recommended

I had to go around by JR so I booked this hotel. It was so convenient!! You don’t need to go out of the station at all. Everything else is nice as well. I will definitely be back.

This hotel, run by JR, boasts an unbeatable location right inside Kagoshima-Chuo Station. It's literally a one-minute walk from the Shinkansen exit

I love how convenient this hotel is! It's connected to AMU plaza which has lots of stores and restaurants and the JR station where you can immediately take the train/bus straight out the hotel

What truly stands out is the front desk, which consistently has four or five staff members on duty, giving the hotel a genuinely high-class feel

The breakfast is really rich and delicious, and the late-night ramen (Yeming Noodle) was also very tasty – the lady serving it was really busy! The hot spring on the 14th floor, though not large, is very clean

I stayed in a single room, and there's an extra door between the room and the main corridor, which made it very quiet. The airport bus stop is very close to the hotel, just two traffic lights away

Conveniently located near the planetarium, the complimentary late-night ramen was delicious every day, and the hot springs were incredibly relaxing with ice cream available afterwards

The rooftop public  bath is worth recommending.  The service is very good and the place is very clean.  The complimentary noodles in the evening are excellent!

I booked a room with a view of Sakurajima, and it was like a painting; I could see the volcano and sunrise just by opening the curtains

To get there get outside of the KagoshimaChou station building and ride a road-level train and get off at the 3rd stop. Best remedy for tired feet and aching muscles is a long,, hot soak in their tub

Good hotel for business stay in central Kagoshima. There is ample parking at the back of the hotel and the rooms are to be expected of a standard business hotel in Japan.

I was looking forward to the breakfast after reading the reviews! There was a wider selection than I expected, and I was really pleased to be able to enjoy both Japanese and Western dishes! As it is slightly away from Tenmonkan Street, it was convenient yet quiet

Although the building itself is old, the interior has been nicely renovated and you can stay comfortably. The hotel also has a large public bath and a restaurant, making it a good choice for your stay

It's a bit of a walk to Kagoshima-Chuo Station, but you can take the tram. Plus, there are lots of great places to eat right around the hotel

My two night stay was quite comfortable and enjoyable here. The rooms are clean and proper, the facilities the hotel offers should fulfill all of your needs

My reservation included a sauna, but they said it was closed due to construction. They didn't even apologize or offer a partial refund. I should have gone somewhere else. ㅠ

Also, it is very close (under 5 mins) from the main station (Kagoshima-Chuo) so very convenient for early morning or tired travelers

Even though I checked in late at night, I was treated very pleasantly. I was also glad that I was able to choose my favorite amenities. The room was quiet, so I was able to get a good night's sleep

The hotel is in a very good location, close to the Tenmonkan shopping street, and there are electricity, buses and other transportation options at the door, making it convenient to travel

I like a lot this small hotel. The room was very comfy with a lot of amenities. Well located, nlvery close to Tenmonkan, and next to the ferry terminals, I will definitely stay here again when I come in Kagoshima

It’s pretty close to the busy area, the room is cool with an outdoor pool. The cons are the room don’t have much space if you have a big luggage.

We upgraded to a larger room on the 10th floor. It was roomy and bright. The internet would not allow more than one device. However, the connection speed was great. The breakfast was delicious.

had booked 3 nights, and ended needing one more night, which I booked online the night before checkout, which still saved me money. Internet via Ethernet was included, and it was plenty fast

I came to Kagoshima not as a traveler, but as someone moving to the area. I had much to do in a short time, namely get acclimated, secure a place to live, and begin my new job

There was a well-stocked breakfast buffet available for around ¥800, but I never partook of it. The staff was courteous, but English was minimal, if not non-existent

The bathroom was spacious, with good quality cleansers. The lobby offered free juice, coffee, and a selection of bagged teas after 3pm

I had the bulk of my belongings shipped to the hotel, which they had no trouble storing until I was able to collect it

I stayed with the GOTO campaign. Since the mince started and I was running low on food, I asked by email the day before what food would be offered. I received a polite response and asked what I could eat

Those who have not experienced it can try it. However, the room I stayed in had a strong smell. The room was big enough, but the worst thing was that the toilet was too smelly

The staff responded excellently and the corona protection and earthquake protection equipment was reliable

Tram station is really close by, 10 mins to city center (Tenmonkan) If you are lucky, you can see Sakurajima volcano from your room, but due to eruption, I could not see it

Fantastic hotel! It's right by the Sakurajima Ferry, and you can even see Sakurajima Volcano from your room. It's also really close to Kagoshima Station, with a tram and bus stop right outside

Only drawback is although close to Kagoshima station, it’s a quite location and you need to walk 5 mins to convenient stores. Restaurant is also limited and close early

The surrounding area is also very quiet, so you won't be disturbed at night. The hotel staff are very friendly and help make your beds every day. So I booked 3 nights for this short trip

It is very attractive that parking is free at a hotel located downtown, and since there were not many guests, we were able to rent out the large public bathhouse

The location is fantastic! It's very convenient for visiting Shiroyama Observatory, Terukuni Shrine, the planetarium, Kagoshima Castle, and Sakurajima

I would definitely stay here again if I come to Kagoshima next time. Highly recommended for those who like Japanese-style houses

There is a slight smell when you first enter the room, but you can ventilate by opening the window
