Best Hotels in Kumamoto

Amenities like toothbrush & paste, face wash, etc are readily available at lobby too. The morning breakfast was heartwarming & enough to complete a nice Jap meal

Omg, to cansel another hotel and change booking to this was my best decision! A had awesome view! I really enjoyed it during the late evening, check the photo. Breakfast was so good, I never leave dinning area hungry

I've stayed at several Toyoko Inn hotels, and as always, I'm thoroughly satisfied. This particular location is excellent, right next to Kumamoto Station

The room was clean and comfortable, and the service was warm and attentive. The breakfast was also quite good

I could hear people coughed and talked telephone. Their front staff was too busy and did not smile. However, I enjoyed the good view from window. Also, it is near bus from airport

Very convenient location close to the train station, and it's just a short walk to the A-line tram which takes you directly into the city center! The breakfast caters well to Chinese palates, definitely recommended! Hopefully, they can add some Chinese translations in the future!

The location is nice, close to the castle. It was nice to visit onsen in the hotel and try curry with horse meat in the evening. The breakfast was good too - buffet. The room was comfortable and clean

Good blackout shades. Noise wasnt too bothersome being so close to shopping. Shopping was a minute away which was fantastic. Good inexpensive place to stay for a night.

Traveling in Kyushu, Japan, I stayed in Kumamoto for two nights in a twin room. The room layout was well-designed, allowing us to open two suitcases comfortably. The room was fully equipped, clean, and tidy.

Good hotel in main area. Market is just outside.

The bath facilities were also excellent, and the room was surprisingly spacious for a Japanese hotel. Overall, I was extremely satisfied

The location was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful

The location is excellent, right next to Sakuracho Bus Terminal, making it super convenient to get to Amakusa for dolphin watching. There's also a tram station nearby, so getting anywhere is a breeze

Good. New. Clean. Convenient location. Onzen too.

As good as ever, and a convenient location.

Nice hotel and also onsen nice location also good and accessible

Right across from the bus station, and super convenient for getting to JR (Japan Railways) by tram – it's a flat 200 yen fare. The hotel's rooftop onsen is a real highlight

The hotel's top floor has a hot spring, a sauna, and ice cream. They even serve ramen at night

Small but very clean. Beds are soft and if you don't mind the small rooms this place is well worth the money. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast I have ever had.

The bathroom felt a bit old, but the service, cleanliness, and location were all excellent

Love this hotel a lot! The front house is really helpful and give us advise for where to go for new year countdown. Basically there is no new year countdown just Japanese will head to shrine during new year eve

Must booked their Kumamoto theme room, if not is superb small. The Kumamoto theme room is big and comfortable. Kumamon inside is cute. Come with welcome gift in room as well.

Excellent location, just connected to Nagasaki JR station via a pedestrian walkway. The foods in the breakfast are rich and plentiful.

Kumamoto is also quite a retro city, with a very old-school feel. My trip was a bit rushed, so there were many places I didn't get to see, but the hotel was excellent

The hotel is very new with a modern decor. The soundproofing is excellent, and even the drawers, wardrobe doors, and shower door have soft-close mechanisms, making them very quiet

The public bath is a moderate size and has all the necessary facilities. The cleaning staff are diligent, so everything is quite clean

Right outside the hotel are the A and B line tram stops, providing direct access to major tourist attractions and shopping streets

Our stay was excellent! The hotel was spotless, and our room was clean and comfortable, making for a very relaxing experience. The location is super convenient for getting around, dining, and shopping

Additionally, floors 1 to 7 of the same building house a large shopping mall, including a Can Do 100-yen store, which is fantastic for inexpensive household goods and simple kitchenware

The hotel even has an observation deck with a great view! The room was clean and well-maintained, and the shower had excellent water pressure

The location is next to the tram stop, Sakuramachi bus station and Sakuramachi Kumamoto is almost in front of you, so if you enter the city with arcades, you don't need an umbrella, it's cheap if you include the location and other things, the people at the front desk are smiling, the room and other places are beautiful, which is not the case with me at all, but the cleaning lady said, "...

Not bad, location is central (close to the main attraction of Kumamoto Castle). The soundproofing is poor though, got woken up at 5am by next door's vibrating phone/people coughing. Cute decorations in the lobby.

Best hotel in Kumamoto our trip, - Comfortable stay, convenient location and Great value.

Good location. Sashimi at opposite is very satisfying

Right on a lively street, it's great! Perfect for a stroll or doing anything else. There's also a constant flow of people. Games, snacks, izakayas, and a convenience store are all downstairs

], in the locker room there is a large container of water and a paper cup to prevent dehydration, plenty of towels in case you forget to bring a towel from your room, and samples of toiletries can also be taken from the front desk

The hotel's location is fantastic; there's a bus stop right outside, and shopping malls are directly across the street, as well as behind the building. Kumamoto Bus Terminal is also within walking distance

Our room had a view of Kumamoto Castle, and they can add an extra bed, so it was no problem for our family of five to sleep comfortably! The hotel staff also provide excellent service

The tram stop is just a short walk away, offering easy access to the JR station and various attractions. The commercial pedestrian street is right next door, making it incredibly convenient for finding food every day

The hotel is right across from Tsuruya Department Store, which makes it super convenient to go see the Kumamon performance. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby too

The room wasn't huge, but it was quite comfortable, and you could see Kumamoto Castle right from the window. For breakfast, you could choose between a buffet or traditional Japanese

Plus, there's a restaurant called Flour across the street that serves amazing toast! The room was spacious, and the bathroom was very clean, even providing skincare samples

It's also close to Kumamoto Castle. It was a fun trip to Kumamoto

It was close to Sakuramachi Terminal, so it was convenient to go on the morning bus tour. There was no dust, and the free, light breakfast was good

There's nothing wrong with the standard chain store.

As a business hotel, it offers good value for money and is a safe and secure option. While not particularly luxurious, it was a very satisfying accommodation option as a base for my stay in Kumamoto

Everything is good except for the small bathroom. It's simple, but the breakfast is also good. The location is near Sakuramachi Terminal, so it's easy to access, and there are many shopping places and restaurants nearby.

Breakfast is provided free of charge. Although there are not many options, it is pretty good. The living environment is hygienic and tidy

Good location just in front of the castle. The 10th floor for breakfast and coffee at night is the best place to relax. Breakfast is the best I have in this trip

Large rooms and very good value. Recommend this place highly.

The room was clean and the bathroom was pleasant. Staff were kind and welcoming.

Staff were really helpful - I asked the front desk for food recommendations and they offered some good choices at late night time. Rooms were clean with toiletries well provided

Hotel room is same as the pictures that display on the app/website. Staff are friendly and polite. There is an onsite parking but you need to pay

The breakfast is good! I like the cakes! It's yummy! Walking distance to the castle and shopping area

they give me the wrong room but correct it once i point out. other than this, all good

Nice room which is quite generous in size compared to a standard Japanese business hotel. Only a bit on the dark side, so could use with better or brighter lighting

Good location, friendly staff, free self service coffee at front desk

There is a coffee machine in the lobby for guest use (free). The best parts of this hotel are the friendly and helpful staff and the size of the rooms

We got a room change because our original room had an insect, the staff was quick and nice about it. Room style is quite old school as it is an old building. There’s also a kumamon mascot that greets u at the lobby :)

Location is close to kumamoto station, you only need to take the tram for 1 stop. Alternatively, there is also a paid shuttl bus by the hotel that takes u around

The location is excellent—close to public transportation, restaurants, and shopping areas, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained

New and good hotel on top of Sakuramachi mall. The parking charges at Sakuramachi is slightly higher at JPY1,800, but it is very convenient to park here. The breakfast restaurant has a good view of Kumamoto castle

Had the microwave and ice machine on the same floor (luckily), however not sure why we had a vending machine. Bathroom was also spacious, bathtub a bit small and shower adjacent to it

Hotel located in the mall very convenience also the parking is a lot for who driving here. Hotel is very new clean up also lobby and room. You can see Kumamoto Castle from the lobby

Spacious room (superior twin), comfy and relaxing and bright. Windows overlook the Sakuramachi rooftop gardens and backdrop of the castle in the distance

Right across the street is a pedestrian street, which is great for walking around. It’s not too crowded, so the atmosphere is quite relaxed

Very good location. Room is clean and tidy. Breakfast is ok which is included.

Very good location, close to Kumamoto castle. Lots of shopping mall and Don Don Donki just nearby. Bus stop to airport just several minutes

Good location! Room is clean and looks new. Breakfast has not much choices but taste good.

Good location , breakfast provided , worth to stay

It's good for solo use.. The location is also good. Breakfast was included. The restaurant was a bit like that, haha The food was delicious.

Good location and good services

Really good hotel for the price. Room is big and clean location near Kumamoto Castle. The downside is you have to pay for 1000 YEN parking and it is not hotel parking it's public parking and other parking is cheaper :(

As it is not near the JR station, you need to take a tram to get there. But it is near the castle and the arcade where there are many stalls to shop. Service is excellent. The bed is quite comfortable too.

Had a very good stay in this hotel. I got a room that was probably renovated recently(not all rooms are renovated!). Everything looks brand new and modern. The room is spacious with a large toilet split into 3 sections

The hotel employees all of them were showed a good attitude and communication was no problem for foreigners

good for the price, right next to the castle, nice service of placing my luggage in to my room.

Location of this hotel is very convenient! With great Castle view! Room is spacious and clean! Staff are helpful and nice, even met one speak Cantonese👍 Definitely will recommend this hotel to friends and of course will stay here on my next trip!👍👍👍

Excellent and super convenient location - near the mall with plenty of food choices, public transport located just outside the hotel that brings you to some of the tourist attractions

Everything was great! The hotel is very near the station, making it super convenient. The room was spotless, the staff were friendly, and the facilities were excellent

Amenities were ok, you have to take them from the lobby and they don't offer moisturizer. Lobby is nice and spacious, staff were ok but not super friendly

And I just had to provide the details and they took care of everything, I just had to make payment the next day before I checked out! And a BIG THANK YOU to the staff for informing us about a wallet and some clothings which we left in the room after checking out

We have some dietary restrictions (allergies), when we went to the hotel restaurant to have our meal, the floor and kitchen staff went far and beyond our expectations to check and ensure that the food was safe for us to consume

Lobby was really nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. Only downside is how far it is from the main areas of Kumamoto. However, tram station is right outside. Parking was very easy to find.

Less than 5mins from the Kumamoto station (but note that the station is not close to the city centre). Room is clean, breakfast is free and good taste, the public bath is not large but still very relaxing.

The hotel itself is very close to the station and the breakfasts are good, I've been there twice and each time the food was a little different. The staff at reception desk is very helpful

All things is very good as well as breakfast was tasty too but a little looks like old

Clean and good breakfast. Not to far to JR Kumamoto station.

Very spacious. Staffs are very friendly, helpful. Hotel is also environment friendly by offering free bottle of drink for room clean. Very convenient and price is attractive also.

Convenient just toilet rather small , walking distance to jr station with shopping mall and

This place are good for shopping and Travel at Kumamoto. Hotel are center shopping Street. You can walk around every time. This place not parking but you can walking to 24 hours Parking about 5 minutes.

The room is bigger than those we stay in Osaka or Hiroshima . Location is very good , and easy accessible to shops and trams. Will stay again if I ever go to Kumamoto again .

Hotel was super clean and spacious, allowing us to have a good rest. Location is also super amazing, easy access to all great food around the area.

Right outside the hotel, you'll find all sorts of restaurants, shopping malls, and drugstores. The hotel's toiletries are also excellent

One of the best locations in Kumamoto, lots of food stores around, close to all transport hubs and a supermarket.

Very conveniently located within the walking street. All well and good. Thank you.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Kamitori Street, and there's a fantastic ramen shop called Akama nearby. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, and you can walk to the Kumamon Square and Kumamoto Castle.

The rooms are slightly larger than typical hotel rooms, spotlessly clean, and fresh. The pricing is reasonable, offering excellent value for money

Good hotel. Clean and safe. Good bargain and nearby the station.

The room was nice, clean and peaceful for my solo 2 nights stay, and the bed and pillows were really soft and comfortable. The toilet is slightly small but it was clean

This hotel is centrally located in Kumamoto, with easy access to both bus and tram stations. There's also a convenience store conveniently located right downstairs

The location was a bit far off as I had to take the tram from the Kumamoto station with my luggage and walk a bit of distance to get to the hotel

I used Daiwa Roynet all over the place, and although the rooms are all good, the breakfast is outsourced too much, which is not good

Great location! Right next to the tram station and 100m away from the main shopping street. Room is great, nice and clean and great prices! Definitely staying there again!

Great location, clean, and the front desk staff's English was excellent, all before 9 AM.

Superb location! The room and bathroom are massive—way bigger than your typical business hotel

Breakfast was solid, and I got a lucky room with a view of Kumamoto Castle! Just a heads-up though: if you’re driving, it’s a hassle. You have to park in a separate building a block away

Love the quality of the towels and premium amenities provided for guests.

the foods are good. I like the location because it is near the city centre and very near to the tram station

The room was clean and comfortable, though quite compact, which is typical for Japanese accommodations. Facilities were excellent and well-maintained, with convenient self check-in and check-out

The room was clean, and Pola skincare products were available at the front desk. Breakfast was included and quite varied, offering slightly better value for money compared to a Toyoko Inn in a major city

We flew into Fukuoka and then took a direct bus to Kumamoto, arriving at Sakuramachi Bus Terminal in just over two hours. The hotel was a very short walk from there, about 7-8 minutes

There's a shopping street within a five-minute walk, and it's super convenient for day trips to attractions like Takachiho and Aso, as direct buses are available

The location is superb, right in the city center, offering plenty of dining options for evening outings

Friendly staff with easy to access location. Good selection of breakfast. The pipes in the bathroom was little smelly. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Near bus terminal and city centre, nice and quiet room, great value of money, especially during low season

Perfect location, 3 mins walking to bus terminal and Sakura machi planza. We stayed in triple room, with pretty good price and good speace of the room.

good location to public transport from airport and other provinces. located in walking street with lots of shopping and restaurant

It's a good place. Super close to the Arcade and many other things. Easy check in, no hassle. Friendly staff.

Good priced hotel in a great location. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping in walking distance and of course right next to the bus station so it's convenient to go anywhere
