Traveling in Kyushu, Japan, I stayed in Kumamoto for two nights in a twin room. The room layout was well-designed, allowing us to open two suitcases comfortably. The room was fully equipped, clean, and tidy.

Clean and comfortable. But the shower in the public bath has an issue - you have to constantly push the switch to keep the water out, inconvenient to use.

The location is nice, close to the castle. It was nice to visit onsen in the hotel and try curry with horse meat in the evening. The breakfast was good too - buffet. The room was comfortable and clean. But the bed was sooo extremely small for 2 people. We are exhausted and could not normally sleep. I don’t know why the sell such small beds in rooms for 2. This was only but very big disadvantage. I...

Have to take tram from kumamoto station to the hotel. The room is nice and clean. There is also.an onsen which is great. The hotel is situated in a lively neighbourhood whereby there are a lot of restaurants. The place became very lively at night.

I've stayed at the Washington Hotel on both of my visits to Kumamoto. Its location is perfect for exploring the city center and conveniently reaching nearby tourist attractions. Additionally, it's very close to Sakuramachi Terminal. Both the cleanliness and the staff's exceptional hospitality were highly impressive.

As good as ever, and a convenient location.

The hotel's top floor has a hot spring, a sauna, and ice cream. They even serve ramen at night. The location is excellent, right next to Sakuracho Bus Terminal, making it super convenient to get to Amakusa for dolphin watching. There's also a tram station nearby, so getting anywhere is a breeze.

Right across from the bus station, and super convenient for getting to JR (Japan Railways) by tram – it's a flat 200 yen fare. The hotel's rooftop onsen is a real highlight. The room was tiny but clean. They don't provide toiletries in the room, but you can grab free toothbrushes and combs downstairs. Coffee is available from 6 AM daily, but it's a shame there's no milk. Great location beside sakura machi, near shopping street and kumamoto castle. Easy to get to kumamoto jr station via bus or tram. Onsen was clean and reasonably sized with outdoor onsen and sauna. Excellent value for money! The hot springs are wonderfully relaxing, and there are plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby, all at a relatively low price point. A taxi from Kumamoto Station was only about 50 RMB, which isn't expensive at all.

Extremely close to the station! It's just over 100 meters to the Fukuoka station, making it super convenient for coming and going. Although the room was small and not far from Kumamoto Castle, I didn't spend much time in it anyway, so it was perfectly acceptable.

Location wise is good. But lady staff is not friendly and helpful. We are driving few round looking for car park, asking lady at front desk but not helpful plus information not correct. I've stayed at several Toyoko Inn hotels, and as always, I'm thoroughly satisfied. This particular location is excellent, right next to Kumamoto Station. The room was clean and comfortable, and the service was warm and attentive. The breakfast was also quite good.

This was a gorgeous hotel and I enjoyed every minute - lovely room with a bath and great views - literally less than 5 minute walk to Kumamoto station and 3 minutes walk to the tram line.

Omg, to cansel another hotel and change booking to this was my best decision! A had awesome view! I really enjoyed it during the late evening, check the photo. Breakfast was so good, I never leave dinning area hungry. Lovely! In case the space is full, you can take it to your room. With that view, I wasn't against 😉 Other things like in every other Toyoko inn.

Wall is thin. I could hear people coughed and talked telephone. Bed was not comfortable. Their front staff was too busy and did not smile. However, I enjoyed the good view from window. Also, it is near bus from airport. The facial cleanser was oily and i immediately got pimple.

Not bad, location is central (close to the main attraction of Kumamoto Castle). The soundproofing is poor though, got woken up at 5am by next door's vibrating phone/people coughing. Cute decorations in the lobby.

I had a really nice stay at REF Kumamoto by VESSEL HOTELS. The room was clean, comfy, and had everything I needed. The location was convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The whole place felt relaxed and well kept. I’d definitely stay here again.

The hot spring was fantastic! Outdoor and open-air, plus free popsicles. Only one pillow in the room though, that's a thumbs down.

The bathroom felt a bit old, but the service, cleanliness, and location were all excellent. I loved the Kumamon bear in the lobby, it was super cute! I wasn't quite sure how to do the self-checkout, but the staff were helpful.

We had the themed kumamon rooms. Nicely decorated, comfortable beds, spacious and clean. Too bad just a folder as souvenir, would be nice if we could have the kumamon toy as well. Kids would be delighted. Very friendly staff, our car was a bit to high for the garage so the staff came with us to show where to park nearby.  Coin laundry 10 min walks to shops/ restaurants

Kumamoto is Kumamon's hometown, and the hotel is filled with Kumamon-themed elements. Check-in was very convenient, and the hotel offers great value for money. Kumamoto is also quite a retro city, with a very old-school feel. My trip was a bit rushed, so there were many places I didn't get to see, but the hotel was excellent.

Located 1km from Sakuramachi Bus Terminal which was very walkable. Hotel wasn't flexible in their checking in so if u r early, u really have to wait until official chk in time Onsen was nice

The hot spring bath was definitely a plus. However, the room itself was quite small. That said, it was perfectly fine for just a place to rest after a day of sightseeing. The 15-minute walk from Kumamoto JR Station wasn't the most convenient.

There's nothing wrong with the standard chain store.

It's located in the downtown area and has many restaurants and cafes. Parking costs 1,000 yen per night, but there is a multi-story parking garage. The room was spacious and I was able to relax comfortably. It's also close to Kumamoto Castle. It was a fun trip to Kumamoto.

This time, I stayed here with a friend. It was in a good location, very close to the downtown area. It was clean and I was very satisfied.

The rest is pretty good overall, with a good breakfast and service, but it's too small. It feels small even for one person. It would be better if it could be a little bigger. It's too stingy.

Very convenient and standard business hotel, close to the city center, with a convenience store on the first floor. The room is ok and clean. I feel very comfortable. There are smoking and non-smoking rooms, but there is no peculiar smell. The furniture and equipment seem to have just been updated. The staff was very prompt and the breakfast was delicious. Had a very good stay in this hotel. I got a room that was probably renovated recently(not all rooms are renovated!). Everything looks brand new and modern. The room is spacious with a large toilet split into 3 sections. This hotel is value for money

Although it was old, it was sufficient for a one-night business trip. The bus stop in front of the prefectural office was very convenient. I will definitely stay here again.

I made a reservation on the day, so I put up with the small space. The unit bathroom was close to the bed, so when I pooped, the smell filled the room.

The room is bigger than those we stay in Osaka or Hiroshima . Location is very good , and easy accessible to shops and trams. Will stay again if I ever go to Kumamoto again .

There was a parking lot next door, which was very convenient. Since it was a weekday, I was able to stay cheaply. The breakfast was a little heavy. It would have been nice if they had a lighter Japanese menu.
