To be honest, this hotel is located right above the bus station, which is super convenient. You can easily walk to Kumamoto Castle, and shopping and dining in Kumamoto are also within easy walking distance. It's especially time-saving if your next destination is Kagoshima or Hitoyoshi, as Japan's infrastructure has been a bit disappointing lately – the railway is still damaged from a flood and hasn't been repaired, so you have to take a bus! To get to JR Kumamoto Station, it's just three or four stops by tram. A crucial tip: you can't use Tokyo/Osaka IC cards on Kumamoto buses, but you can use them on the trams! 😇😇😇

This hotel is really nice and conveniently located right on top of Sakura Machi mall, so there are plenty of food options and shops for shopping.

Right across the street is a pedestrian street, which is great for walking around. It’s not too crowded, so the atmosphere is quite relaxed.

There’s also a major bus stop right downstairs, which makes it super convenient—especially if you don’t have a car. If you’re traveling between cities, this is likely a main stop you’ll pass through.

For those who drive, you can find parking nearby. The hotel may offer parking discounts at certain locations, but I’m not entirely sure which ones.

The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and smells really nice—feels new and well-maintained. Amenities are quite complete as well.

The bed and pillows were just okay, slightly leaning towards the uncomfortable side. However, the bathroom is excellent, with a separate standing shower and a small bathtub. The room I got was also quite cute, with a small sofa area, which was a nice touch.

I was pleasantly surprised by how great this stay was! The hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways. The location is excellent—close to public transportation, restaurants, and shopping areas, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Location is great, there are a lot of food options around and there is a huge kumakun on the fifth floor for photos.

Absolute bang for your buck! It's located right in the Sakuramachi commercial complex, and getting here from Kumamoto by bus is super smooth. It's a great base for getting anywhere. The room size is just right, and you get a direct view of Kumamoto Castle.

Service: English service was available, making communication smooth and clear. The front desk staff were professional.

Environment: The location is excellent. There's a bus stop right downstairs, it's easy to hail a taxi, and there are supermarkets, Kumamoto souvenir shops, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby – very convenient. There's also a pedestrian street in the vicinity, and the room offers a view of Kumamoto Castle.

Hygiene: Overall, it was good. Even when 'Do Not Disturb' was selected, fresh towels were still left hanging on the door. However, we found a pair of slippers under the bed that weren't ours, likely left by a previous guest.

The hotel is new and with good view to see the castle from the room. Recommend to stay if you want to be relax and get away from the crowd.
