Take a look at the top picture. This hotel is very close to the train station. The problem is that Shin-Aomori Station itself is very remote. There is really no convenience store near the hotel. The hotel is 5min walk from the Aomori JR station, with a Lawson directly under the hotel. Plenty of restaurant/bars nearby. The room is large compared to regular Japanese hotels, the washroom is great!

Great location, super clean, good quiet gym and quick check in. Like many Japanese hotels the rooms are small, but the bathroom was big. Low rating due the tiny hard pillow and super uncomfortable mattress. Both partner and I felt broken after first night. Would not recommend.

Location was great as right opposite station except staff was a little slow in checking in and out. Bed was a little hard for those with bad back. Otherwise, the stay was not bad.

Although the room is small, it is very clean and includes breakfast, which is very good! Transportation is accessible by bus at JR Aomori Station. There are 2 large supermarkets around, where you can go shopping after dinner! I will consider staying next time!

I stayed here to take part in the Aomori Sakura Marathon, and it was easy to get to the bicycle racing track, which was also the parking lot for the event, in just under 20 minutes! Breakfast didn't start until 6:15, which was just in time for the start of the full marathon, so I would have preferred to just stay overnight without breakfast.

The hand soap is quite harsh, I wish they would use one with gentler ingredients for the skin. The twin room was very spacious and felt like a city hotel.

The parking lot is very convenient. Hakkoda is also open. I was very lucky. It takes 40 minutes to drive to Hakkoda. The road is also very easy to drive. I highly recommend the large bath. It is a must-go every day to relieve muscle fatigue.

After hiking in the snow at the Oirai Gorge, we returned to Aomori and found a hotel about 20 minutes’ drive from the airport. The location was good and everything else was pretty standard, except that the artificial hot spring was relatively small.

The hotel is located in the excellent location within walking distance from either JR Aomori station or bus stops. The main sightseeing places such as Nebuta Warasse, A-Factory, A-Beach, and ASPAM are in the walking distance.

Located just outside the JR station make it convenient for train travelers. The view from the room can see the station / the bridge which is nice.

A decent hotel opposite the JR railway station and it's close to shops and restaurants. The room is clean and decent, but can feel aged. Air conditioning is not good. There's a lovely onsen on site that can be used with no extra charge, and free breakfast.

Finding the location from Aomori station is a breeze! The amenities are great and kept super clean. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet—it had such a wonderful variety of options to choose from. And to top it off, when I checked in on my birthday, they surprised me with complimentary drinks after welcoming me! How thoughtful is that?

Located across from the train station east entrance. Check-in was hassle free. Staff friendly and efficient. This was the only property so far that allowed me to check in earlier than stipulated time. Room size is decent and comes with the usual amenities. Lots of eateries at the mall in the train station. Mini Mart just around the corner. Walkable to the fish market. Wifi works great.

Really nice and clean room. The apple flavor diffuser is good but not for sell. The staff of car parking is nice and humor! Breakfast is rich variety.

Overall satisfactory. The hotel is very close to Aomori Station, within a 10-minute walk. There are many places to eat near the hotel. In addition, the price of about 370 per night is cost-effective in winter.

The room was consider big and spacious where if you place your luggage on the floor which you still have room to walk.

This hotel is not far from Aomori JR station. Walking distance to other tourist attractions, and restaurants. The hotel looks old but well maintained. Room size is typical Japanese business hotel. No gym, no swimming pool. Reasonable price.

It was my first time staying in Aomori in a while. As it was cherry blossom season, I visited the nearby Gappo Park and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful blooms. The downtown area was also conveniently close, making it a short walk to my evening social gathering.

I booked Aomori Hotel for my friend. I have stayed there before. It is a well-established hotel in Aomori. The breakfast is very rich and it is very close to the beach. I booked a twin room this time. The room is very large.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is comfortable, and the onsen bath is huge. The breakfast was very good as well. My only dislike is the distance to the station which is not very walkable on a snowy day. Perhaps on a summer day it might be easier to reach.

If you just want a place to lie down, that's moderately clean, this is the place. Nothing much to shout about, from the interiors you can see it has been around for a while. But hey, the nostalgic elements makes it interesting too. Reasonably close to the train station.

The location is great, but the room is a little small and the WiFi drops out a lot. The TV, bathroom and bed are all fine though, and the air conditioning works fantastically well. The TV has BBC news, as well as some Japanese channels, and for ¥1000 you can buy a card from a vending machine that gives you unlimited movie watching until 11:00 the next day. There's a pretty good selection that's updated...

It was a very nice, traditional atmosphere. The facilities are a little old, but they have been thoughtfully renovated.

The hot spring water is acidic and not suitable for everyone.

The reserved room did not have a private bathroom, so I spent 7,000 yen at the front desk to upgrade to a room with a private bathroom. The quality of breakfast and dinner is also inferior to that of the nearby Jokura Hotel. All in all, apart from maintaining the traditional hot spring culture, Suantang Hot Spring really has nothing to attract people.

The hotel has convenient transportation, but due to its long history, it is still a bit old, but it is quite clean. There is no elevator, but the staff is very enthusiastic. There was something wrong with the door lock when we checked in, and they immediately helped us change to a new room~

Clean and neat hotel, just nice for a night's transit in Aomori. If you are coming from airport, ask the driver and alight at a stop nearby. No need to go all the way to Aomori station. You can save at least a kilometer's walking distance.

The single room rate during the cherry blossom season is quite friendly, the cleanliness is good, the sound insulation is not good... People with sleep disorders should consider it. It is a little far from the station, but it is just in the direction of the east gate. It is quite convenient to take the bus to Okase Irikei. It was a sudden search for a place to stay because Shinkansen had a problem, so I had to find a place before midnight. So I found this place. It's a bit far from JR Aomori, but it's walkable. I used APA Hotel when I traveled to Aomori with my mother. The airport bus and Aomori Station are close by, and Honmachi and the shopping district are also nearby, so it is easily accessible. The breakfast was very delicious. I will use APA next time I visit Japan (even if it is in a different area).

For the price, the room was cramped and tiny. The laundry facility was a welcome relief, though the dryers were slow, and consequently expensive. It was pretty hard to find a place to eat dinner, other than the izakayas (i.e., bars.)

The hotel was in the middle of heavy snow at Hakkosan, so I didn't expect much. Although the service staff don't speak English very well, they are very hardworking. Both dinner and breakfast were good, especially dinner.

Breakfast and dinner are divided into Japanese and Western styles. Dinner is very ceremonial, especially French food. The hotel is very close to the ski resort and Suantang Hot Spring, and there is a shuttle bus. The restaurant has a good view. It is very pleasant to sit in the warm restaurant, drink hot coffee, and look at the snow outside.

A very unique hotel. Retro but clean, except that the hotel is too big, which makes me a little scared when walking around alone at night, otherwise everything is fine.

I chose this route to go through the Seikan Tunnel, stay overnight in Aomori, and then stop over at Oirase and Towada the next day. It's reasonably convenient, neither good nor bad. It's good value for money, so it's perfectly fine.

The hotel is a lettle far from Aomori station. But, when you check in until 8.30pm, you can have their orignal curry for free. You can also have a snack bread and cafe for free. Moreover, there are two convince store, one is same building and other's diagonally opposite the building. Unfortunetly, restaurants are not many near by. So, when you use here on foot you may feel a little unconvinent.

March 26th 2025 - Japan had Gale wind advisory which means the wind gusts were strong enough to cause JR and other rail services to be impeded by delays. Unfortunately this delay caused us 8-10 hours of our time. We had no option but to stay the night in Aomori as past midnight there are no public transportation services other than taxi. From Shin Aomori to this hotel it cost us just around 1000 yen...

We drove from Hirosaki station and had several car park options to park overnight. The rooms were clean and we like the memory foam pillow as we all had stiff necks after skiing.

I thought that 1km from the station would be a comfortable distance, but if you walk in the wind and snow in winter, it will be completely different. It really looks far away, and the service is very good.The hotel offers free apple juice in the lobby, which is also a local specialty.

The facility was clean and it was quiet and relaxing. The open-air bath was pleasant, surrounded by fresh greenery, and the buffet was delicious.

The room was spacious, the food was delicious and we had a comfortable stay, but although I understand that alcohol is charged for with meals, I don't like the fact that soft drinks are also charged for (though there were some free drinks). Apart from the food and drinks, I was very satisfied overall, so it was a shame.
