For such a large establishment, it is well run and has a personal feeling. The onsen are very relaxing and not overcrowded. The rooms are clean and pleasant. On arrival I did not think that I would like it here, but have definitely changed my mind.

The room was nice, spacious, and comfortable. The main highlight is the hot springs, with a wide variety of options. I especially recommend the hot springs in the side buildings, as they have better facilities. Breakfast and dinner are buffet-style with a good selection of food. There's live instrumental music every night during dinner, and folk performances in the hotel lobby every evening. The shuttle bus is punctual, with dedicated staff for pick-up and drop-off. I would definitely stay here again.

There are four to five different hot springs to choose from, making it the hotel with the most options currently available. The evening performance is free and quite spectacular. The food is of above-average quality, with crab legs served for dinner, but if you're only looking for the food, you wouldn't choose this hotel.

Hongyekan is located in Hanamaki Onsen Village. It costs about 3,400 yen to take a taxi from the airport. The hotel facilities are newer than expected. It should have been renovated. The hotel rooms are also quite large. You can soak in the hot springs of three joint hotels. The meals feel thoughtful. Although there are not many types, the ingredients are good. I will stay at least two days next time.

The pick-up bus at Shin Hanamaki Station at 3 o'clock was very punctual, and the driver did not take out the list to check, so I felt that there was no need to make an appointment. The time for the drop-off station does need to be reserved, and it will be checked when getting on the bus.
The snow view outside the room window is beautiful, but there is nothing around the hotel. It feels like a remote hotel group that specializes in receiving ********* groups. A drugstore at the door is crowded with ********* guests at night. In the morning, the drugstore is not open after the ********* group leaves, so there is no place to go shopping.
Dinner does have unlimited long-legged crabs and steaks, and the dishes are rich but the taste is very average.
The hot spring is also quite satisfactory, with average water quality and scenery.

The overall price-performance ratio is very high. You can soak in three hot springs in one hotel. Among them, the hot springs in Hongyekan have indoor and outdoor pools, and the outdoor pool has some mountain views; Hanamaki Hotel has indoor and outdoor pools, but the outdoor pool is average, blocked by grids, and the view is not good; Qianqiu Pavilion has only indoor pools, with rose decorations on the walls, and nothing special. In summary, I recommend soaking in the hot springs in Hongyekan. (There is a Hanamaki Manten-no-yu, which was not open when I went there, so I don't know how it works) The meals are buffet, but the quality is very good! There are also different performances every night.

The hotel is located in Hanamaki Onsen Village, which is a group of three hotels. You can go to the hot springs in all three hotels, but I only went to the Momijikan, which has both outdoor and indoor hot springs. The area is not small and very comfortable. The room is also large, and the breakfast is rich in variety, with Japanese and Western food. There are also sukiyaki, local milk and ice cream. The hotel also has free folk performances in the lobby every night, which is very unique. If it is spring and summer, the rose garden near the hotel should also be beautiful. A very recommended hotel. The disadvantage is that the surrounding public transportation is not very convenient. You can only make an appointment to take the free shuttle bus from the hotel to Shin-Hanamaki Station. Although there are ordinary buses, there are very few buses.
