Raze in Palanga

Imagine getting to the hotel after a long tiring day when the only thing you want is good food and resting.
But nope the pork is raw, you change the dish with a lot of discussion and what you get in return is hair in the food. And that’s not the first time!

Expected more from a 3 star hotel. The first thing that happened is that we were offered more expensive rooms for extra cash. Which is fair enough. The room was at least not in a place full of smoke.

Floor heating was on (even though the room was like a sauna). To figure out how to stop shower from creating dying noises, I had to ask staff to show how the thing is working. It was leaking all over the place and full of rust.

The guidance and experience of how to find breakfast (and breakdast itself) was terrifying. "Turn left", they said. "Its the door downstairs" they said. "Yes, yes. This one". The small hall led you to the place reminding the school canteen in the 80s with school tables and chairs in the basement. I suppose it's okay. But if you pay for night 75 eu including breakfast, you don't want omlette with mayo that on the menu is called scrambled egg and offers you 3in1 coffee. Maybe the price is quite high cause it's close to the central street. Which is a bonus, but it's not worth the sacrifice.

Staff really tried their best and were apologetic. They tried to be helpful, but the place is just not worth the money and staying, and even to be called hotel. It's clean but old and senseless. Good experience for people to know how some people spent their childhood holidays in Palanga. We came from abroad and were terrified and booked a hotel across the road on the second day. Asked to return extra money paid for a "better room" with squeaking floors and beds with indents. By the way, you dont want to know what noises make the fridge in that room (if you remember the "home alone" basement, you already know what im talking about).

In our opinion, the booking options should be limited so people that are coming from other countries simply wouldn't have a chance to go trough that and see our beatiful country from this point of view and have their experience and mood affected by wasting time for booking another place.
