Everything was good, but the hotel is quite old, feeling a bit like a guesthouse from the last century. There's a 24-hour 7-Eleven nearby, and it's very close to ***a Street. This place is suitable for budget travelers.

I love this hotel so much. The hospitality was superb. The room was cozy but the airconditioning was a little bit cold but fret not, you can always ask their technicians to adjust the airconditioning outing. Their food was nice and came in a big portion, worth the price. The location was good as there were many shops nearby. A great choice in Kota Kinabalu.

Location is near city centre, which is convenient for me to commute to work. Room is very clean and spacious. Very comfortable bed, comes with 2 pillows for each bed.

Nearby there is KFC, 7-eleven, 99SpeedMart convenient store, laundry mat, kopitiam etc. i got all the things i need from the surrounding area. Philippines market is only 1.5 km distance and can just walk.

Overall experience, I'm happy and will definitely come back when i visit Kota Kinabalu again.

Rooms were spacious. Bath water was a little too hot which the hotel quickly rectified. We love the centralised location.

I don't recommend this accommodation. There was a problem with the crazy noise of the electric box in the room. I went to another room with a maid to compare the sound, and confirmed this problem, but no one tried to fix this facility problem in this hotel. Besides, the receptionist asked me to pay 30 RM without any apologies for the inconvenience if I want to change a room. Her attitude was unbelievably bad. I didn't want to talk to the staff of this hotel anymore. Then, I fixed it myself to stay.
Hotel staff don't like guests to come. They are not helpful. Don't expect anything!

The room was quite clean. It's within walking distance to Gaya Street, Suria Sabah, and other places, as it's located in the city center. Kota Kinabalu is small, so every taxi ride seems to pass by the hotel, and it's very close to the Hilton. We checked in around midnight on the 17th, and the front desk lady was incredibly gentle and kind, providing very professional and warm service. The hotel facilities are a bit old, and the lobby had a peculiar smell, like durian or something similar, which wasn't very pleasant. However, the rooms facing the mountain were very quiet, and I slept really well. Overall, it's worth recommending, and I hope they can provide bottled water in the future.

Overall, it offers great value for money. It's an older hotel that's been renovated, and the logo on the facade was just updated. The room is well-equipped, though the air conditioning was a bit too cold – it's an older central AC system, so you can't adjust the temperature in the room yourself. The service, however, was quite good.

The hotel's location is pretty good; you can walk to popular restaurants and the market in about ten minutes. However, they don't provide bottled water or tissues, which makes it feel like a five-star hotel from the early 2000s in China. Still, for the price, it's definitely a steal. There's an open-air terrace and a gym one floor above the tenth floor. The gym had a strong 'new renovation' smell, but the equipment was quite decent.

Name has been changed to Howard Johnson. Service is 100% great. Staff are very helpful and service is seamless.

Room 206 was incredibly noisy due to street traffic. The windows offered no soundproofing whatsoever, and I could hear motorcycles outside all night long. To top it off, the bathroom was leaking. After one night, I had to request a room change.
