Hotels in Alor Setar

The atmosphere and service were good, but the cleanliness could use some improvement. If that’s addressed, it would be a great place to visit again.

The room was very spacious and comfortable, making my stay truly very enjoyable. There was plenty of parking available, and it was easy to access. The receptionist was also friendly and easy to deal with. Overall, a pleasant experience. Last but not least, view from paddy field also very awesome.

Not really good experience this time. Had to change rooms multiple times due to AC issues. 1st room ac problem its really hot and stuffy, changed rooms multiple times at 1am second room were slightly better and we all deadly tired n the next morning was raya. Massive convention halls here & car parking space too. Just that Alor Setar is super Hot. I pity cars parked there without shades

Value of money , room is clean just a bit small size !! But overall is ok !!!

The rooms are abit cramp just the size of a queen bed but the toilet is big enough. The Aircon works well.Just that no lift to upper floors. So 1 room at ground floor n 1 upstairs. At night it is quiet noisy as the lorry n trucks came to park nearby. This hotel looks new. The reception is friendly n informative. Nicely to stay for the price. Value for money. Simple setting

Very neat and comfortable place. Check-in was smooth and easy, even after 12 a.m. Loved it!🥰

Room not as cleaned as before. The a/c controller was like the old school and can’t be used. That make the temperature remain at 27 all night. Manager on duty should periodically check the room condition before selling.

I've checked into The Jerai Hotel many times now and I'm always very satisfied. The room is tidy and clean. The city view is great, both day and night. Breakfast is delicious and fulfilling. The bathroom is clean, though the hot water in the shower sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Parking for guests is easy and free in front of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very cozy and clean. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was quite slow in topping up the dishes, which affected the overall experience. Everything quite okay!!

Very efficient and trustworthy. I left my amulets chain and I called up to inform the receptionist. I was told not to worry and can come to take it any time. Very trustworthy and also the breakfast staffs were good. I recommend travellers to stoping over Alor Star to stay there

Comfort to stay and will repeat again

We booked in the old wing and the room was dated as expected but had everything needed and the bed was comfy. The bathroom however wasn't clean.

Okay for the price, big room, but old facilities. The room had some hairs when I arrived. Inside it has a sports centre which includes a swimming pool you can use but you need to wear a swimming hat, which you can rent there for 3 ringgit.

It's a short walk to Amarin Central, but the hotel walls are not soundproof at all. The bed is soft, but the blanket is a definite no-go.

Promoting an 80s concept for a hotel, thats totally fine. BUT maintenance & facilities could be definitely brushed up more. Tv reception & wifi connection could be better. Yet tv just 3 local channels & wifi very poor connection. I would stay there again if there will be improvements.

Friendly staff, clean room, good location highly accessible to food from early morning to late night. Stay during Raya and chinese tomb praying festive thus is a bit noisy as hotel is believe to be fully occupied.

Wanted to go to the public toilet before I check in, Unfortunately toilet is squats type. Oh Dear this is not disable friendly. Also the hotel doesnt have a lift. No one seem to review on this or I might have missed it. Other than this hi cup, the room is good and clean. Worth the money paid.

Excellent location with a lot of restaurants nearby, Alor Setar Mall is just 500m away. Ample of Parking lots and the room is clean. Good service by the staff and they prepared a small pack of biscuits in the room. 👍

The shower water flow is slow, as is the sink tap. The fridge is rusty and not functioning. The toilet bowl is dirty.

It is a decent hotel with private car parks and near to many eateries. The surrounding can be abit noise.

The bed was okay, but the toilet wasn't satisfactory. We also got a room at the very end of the hall, even though I was with my mother who uses a wheelchair. I thought they might have considered giving us a room closer to the front. Anyway, the staff was quite friendly.

Very kind staff. Improvement needed: -Aircon makes big noise -I had room 21 and it was very loud even after i turned off my aircon. Probably aircon ventilators of the hotels were outside close my room. -Mosquito in the room too. -Could be more clean in the areas one doesn’t easily look to. Location worked well for me. About 15 minutes drive to Kuala Kedah Ferry station.

staying for one night and room quiet spacious for the 3 of us, close to the convenience store and there is a place that you can eat, will definitely come back again in the future.

The room was not big but is ok for 3 adults to stay. The problem was the washing basin was not located inside the toilet but beside the bed. And the table between the two beds was very small and was accupied with a room telephone. There is no slippers and only one not big table in the room.

Reasonable price and location is convenient to access from town

The price is reasonable, with free drinks and a hair dryer provided. There’s also 2 convenience stores downstairs, which is very convenient.
