It's the second time I stay here, bringing my son to Hope Children's for treatment. It's the best hotel closest to Hope Children's. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the service is excellent. We were returning guests to Le Dream Boutique Hotel, the location is perfect the front of house staff are most welcoming, and house keeping will definitely look after your needs. On the occasion of my birthday day the staff presented me with a chocolate cake I was just so overwhelmed with the kindness and thoughtfulness of that gesture 🙌

Room is relatively big and location is good with all the good eateries nearby. Each room also have umbrellas for wet weather. Only drawback is the jacuzzi is abit dirty. Staff service is good.

The hotel is in a good location, very close to the Komtar Building in the center of Penang, surrounded by shops, convenient living, and within walking distance of major attractions. The hotel is clean and tidy, with good facilities and thoughtful service. It is a good experience.

Not bad! For a few days stay is okay! Quite near to komdar and bus station.

Nice place. Upgraded since I was last there. Nice thick, firm and comfy mattresses. Nice to have independent sockets and lighting on each dorm bed. However, the single AC unit in the room is ineffective for the large room with 18 beds. A selection of fans would be a great addition to circulate to air. Reception is not 24hr.

My stay is made great mainly because of the day staff, Bayu, and his amazing hospitality. He’s very knowledgeable about Penang, has the best recommendations, absolutely funny, very welcoming, goes above and beyond for every guest. A very social hostel with the most amazing staff! Bayu is the kindest soul and has so much knowledge on George Town!! He’s very friendly and recommends the best food places in town. Needed to book a ticket to KL and he helped me book a ticket right away. So professional and lovely. Please add curtains!

For the price it's ok for budget stay. But prepare to rough it out. The guesthouse itself is very run down, the double room which I stayed in is very small (it is literally a 2 storey bunk bed with a single stool at the side) with all the facilities (tables, showers) in the communal area. Place is rustic yet clean and nice. Owner is friendly and helpful. Location is secured with multiple electronic and physical locks. Facilities are sufficient for basic use, and family friendly. Assessible to great street food and attractions around.

As you come in, you'll be surprised the presentation and cleanliness. Also our host has given all the information before we even reached our destination I also would like to say my host an excellent person who goes out of her way and to make sure our stay was a good one. Thank you Celine.

Beautifully designed rooms with ample space and plenty of privacy. Maintenance could be better. Not to be confused with mango tree place.. as this is the name that appears on the map.

Great architecture and deco: merged 1934 townhouse with modern facilities, and makes old and new work together seamlessly. Tall ceiling and overhead fan makes aircond almost unecessary; backyard brings light and air to sleeping room and bathroom. Very nice local breakfast and caring staff (Karen and uncle), comfortable and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Hostel should work on their hygiene issues. Dirt or boogers that someone left around the sink was always there for days(maybe still is). Shower does not have a cover and overall look does not seem clean. My bed pillow had a lot of spots on it, hopefully it was not the same for other side so I could sleep. The bedsheet had a spot too. The location is convenient, but unfortunately the rest was disappointing. Not enough showers and toilets for everyone, poor cleanliness, very noisy, and an unpleasant smell.

Wish staying longer in Penang to see more of the places. Again can’t fault the place with helping staff to ease my worry , highly recommended !

I will never stay at this hostel again. I only stayed one night and was relieved that I hadn’t booked for two. There are so many issues that it’s hard to know where to begin. Good location. Near to public transport and famous eataries such as roti canai Transfer Road. There is self laundromat nearby the hostel if you wish to wash your clothes. Down side: no shoes allowed inside the premises. One way is good but no floor mat provided even outside the bathroom and you can see water stains on the wall. This is one of the best places I have stayed in SE Asia! The shophouses are cute and spacious (we stayed in Indian Shophouse and our parents stayed in another king’s size bedroom), the aesthetics inside the room and especially in the lobby/ afternoon tea area/ breakfast cafe is incredible and nostalgic.
