Where to stay in Georgetown

Conveniently located near airport and right next to a shopping mall. Our flight arrived at midnight so we needed a place to stay for the night. Staff are kind and the location is the main reason why we stayed here.

All was good but it surprises me that over the counter daily charges was less than whatever we paid here. We thought trip is cheaper but actually its not.🤔😏

This hotel is exceptionally clean and truly reflects a heritage-class property. Everything is well maintained, full of character, and gives a premium heritage experience. One of the best hotels in Penang, both in terms of cleanliness and overall atmosphere. The stay was excellent and memorable. If there were such a thing, this hotel definitely deserves 6 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Excellent service from reception guys at the counter. The room is clean and the bed is comfy! Though the room is quite small in size but the mattress and pillow solve it all. 

Easy to walk around the heritages and travel to jetty mainland. You will miss these the streets food, beer and crowd people in the evening music time. I will go again when holidays.

Decent stay. The location is excellent, right in the city center, and the surrounding area is very lively with everything you could ask for. Despite being in such a bustling spot, the hotel is tucked away down a side street, making it surprisingly quiet.

The room was spotless and neatly tidied every day by the housekeeping staff. They offer a complimentary afternoon tea, and the cheese mini-cakes were quite delicious. Behind the hotel, there's a breakfast place that's open until 9 or 10 PM. It's very affordable, and you'll see a lot of locals eating there.

Location is quite central, many attractions are within walking distance. Building itself needs some update, especially the water pressure. It made a loud noise every time the toilet flushed and water tap turned on. Free afternoon tea is a nice touch, but disappointed there were no cold drinks served.

However I had difficulty sleeping at night due to the poor insulation of the room, especially the windows lacking proper seal, causing the AC compressor noise to leak in. Honestly the best location if you are looking to kaki jalan all the famous spots in Penang. The room was a basic (bathroom, bed, aircon and makeup table, but it's a steal at the price it's offered. Great hotel in central China Town location in George Town. Room was slightly smaller than expected and smelt of damp when we first arrived, but with AC and extractor fan on it went away quickly. Mezzanine bed was comfy, hot shower and lots of spaces for bags under bed! Fairly quiet hotel with not many comings and goings. Free washing machine to use on site. Cafe downstairs also.

Finding food is a bit difficult, as it's far from the hotel. Chinese restaurants are nearby. The rooms without balconies are clean and quiet, not too crowded. A little hard to find.

Hotel located at city. Near terminal bus komtar where it just take 5-7 minutes by walk. The room clean but not to privacy. We can hear our next room talk clearly from our room. Need to upgrade more. The towel also need to change the new one because we got towels that were a bit worn and not very clean.
