Loved the place - very spacious, clean, strategic location and well-equipped. Could fit up to 10 people comfortably and had enough toilets to share. Would recommend this place to others
Place is rustic yet clean and nice. Owner is friendly and helpful. Location is secured with multiple electronic and physical locks. Facilities are sufficient for basic use, and family friendly. Assessible to great street food and attractions around.
As you come in, you'll be surprised the presentation and cleanliness. Also our host has given all the information before we even reached our destination

Beautifully designed rooms with ample space and plenty of privacy. Maintenance could be better. Not to be confused with mango tree place.. as this is the name that appears on the map.
Great architecture and deco: merged 1934 townhouse with modern facilities, and makes old and new work together seamlessly. Tall ceiling and overhead fan makes aircond almost unecessary; backyard brings light and air to sleeping room and bathroom. Very nice local breakfast and caring staff (Karen and uncle), comfortable and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Overall the food is okay, but need to self service. And the price is quite expensive with a small portion

Our favourite eating place at nite whenever we visit penang.
The boiled chicken and porridge is the best.
Of course the lot new and bkt is equally good.

This restaurant locates in the hotel many years and never have renovated nor improved menus. Hotel also failed in management.

The elderly couple who manage the restaurant are very rude. One of the dishes we ordered was fish. Since the didn't have the type of fish we wanted, we thought it'll be better to cancel that order. The man said it was already done. Ok, fine, the dish came out 22 mins after the other dishes came out. So much for the order already prepared.
He then proceeds to speak in Holkien dialect with another patron, complaining about us wanting to cancel the order. Not realizing we actually understood every word he said.
I never expected Penangites to be so bad mannered.
As for the food, was below par. Only the Lor Bak was good. Overall it was a dissatisfied dinning experience.

Authentic Hainanese food. In fact it was my first try on the Hainanese spring roll and sagu dessert. Not really sure about the price cause it is a treat but I really enjoyed the meal

The management is nasty and belligerent coupled with mediocre food at cut throat prices,very soon this restaurant will be history. Friends having dinner at the restaurant for an old boys alumini reunion in July 2016 were told that sauces for inche kaybin are limited and stingily given when requested but in a minute plate. When anyone ask about this rest..it is definitely a red light stop and dont go in premise.

Half an hour walk from the Old town. No idea bout the wine but they do have 4 beers from the Penang brewery. Take out was 28Rm per bottle. They have aircon & free wifi. You can also sit outside as they have a terrace/garden.

Good selection of wines at relatively reasonable prices for a city that has a sin tax on imported alcohol. Even have a nice VIP room surrounded by wines and a courtyard for outdoor seating.
