“Right in the heart of Georgetown..Perfect!” Value for money and the staffs were all very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for 2 nights wanting to roam about the city centre and then went up to Batu Feringgi to stay at Rasa Sayang for the remaining 2 nights just to relax and chill. I must say that after experiencing both hotels, Cititel wins hands down in terms of staff friendliness and helpfulness...
We had some issues with due to our local travel agent and in search of hotel we came here, though it was full on booking and Tripcom. They semi sustainable and do great job. They offer orange juice on check in, awesome. Bed mattress and pillows are excellent. We had no breakfast
I stayed seven nights at Cititel Hotel Penang in a Deluxe Double Room. Central location, clean rooms, comfortable bed, pillow menu, good desk chair, and helpful housekeeping. Sustainability efforts like water refill stations on each floor are a big plus. While the hotel markets itself as “Business Friendly,” the experience feels more functional than fully embodied. Small details – such as writing...
Good location. Easy access to bus and CAT. Walking distance to local market and local eating food streets. Hotel staff attitude is super friendly and courteous. Special thanks to front office staff Susanna, Nazifa, Fakhrul and Evelyn from the F&B. All of you had made our stay at citadel Hotel so comfortable and enjoyable. Dear Susanna, you go the extra mile beyond your scope of work. Good service...
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Amazing Stay! Hospitality at this hotel was truly superb! From the check-in process, I was already amazed by how friendly and welcoming the staff were. The room was spotless, nothing to complain about at all. I even received complimentary drinks and desserts delivered right to my room, which was such a nice surprise. The next morning during breakfast, once again the staff were incredibly...

Very accomodating hotel stay. The nutmeg drink service daily at lobby is delicious.
Hotel location is excellent. Use the side road of carpark for an easy walk to Cecil Street Food Court. If you walk straight across the traffic light to Komtar, you can ride the free CAT bus (15 minute frequency). Or else take GRAB. Easy walk to 1st Avenue Mall that is connected to Prangin Mall (2nd storey). The hotel is well maintained & quiet facing as requested for our 4 night stay. It would be...
Stayed two nights with parents. Both rooms were fairly maintained, “fairly” in the sense that furnitures couldn’t close properly, stains, wear and tear visible, and old televisions with blurry displays. However, service was top notch and location was unbeatable. I hope some upgrades can be done, especially on par with the price that we paid for it. Overall I’d come back to stay again, if I see...
We were upgraded to premium lounge, which includes breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails. It's a great gesture for me as I am going through chemo therapy, the hygiene issue is top priority for me. I was truly appreciative to have a quiet and peaceful environment to have all my meals in the hotel. St. Giles has the most comfortable linens that you can find. I slept well and hope to return...
Excellent hotel with easy access to nearby malls and markets, friendly and helpful staff rendered to customers requests with full commitments and follow up. Will definitely return on my next visits
First time staying in St Giles Wembley Penang. Location in Georgetown is very convenient to visit various tourist attractions. Hotel room is spacious. Receptions, housekeeping and cafe staffs helpful and friendly. Will definitely book the hotel again next time travelling to Penang.

nice and clean room location is near to the Georgetown city
Nice hotel to stay in city area. Service is excellent. Has swimming pool, separate ladies and gentlemen jacuzzi, sauna, kids club, fitness. Room is big and clean. Air conditioning is good. Breakfast menu is good. Worth the price staying here.
The hotel and the rooms overall looks dated but clean. Staff service was at par with the usual 4/5* rating. Most of them are able to speak in English. Location is great with many local food available with ½ km and malls as well. This is the ideal location. For a holiday. The only strange thing was that housekeeping claimed they do not allow guests to borrow knives.
Ample of parking lots at multi storey parking at the back of hotel . Swimming pools for family. Sauna, jacuzzi (hot and cool) and steam room. (Separate for male and female) and children are not allowed to use these facilities. Two nicely painted tennis courts available. Cool kids room. Drink at the freezer is free to consume. This hotel has well-trained staff who are very friendly and helpful. Although it’s an old building, you get what you expect here. I especially remember one staff member named Kamaruzzaman a great guy. The hotel should give him some appreciation. overall..good..food good. staff superb

One of the oldest hotel in penang. Been staying there for multiple times since years ago. But now the hotel is SOOO OLD. u can feel the OLD-ness vibe and the surrounding is pretty scary like abandon building. But the staff was very nice. Old hotel but still comfortable. Management need to improve the aesthetic of the building. Room quite neat for family even though toilet do not has bidet. Free parking as for our visit. Breakfast just decent but training staff named #Ronaldo quite hospitable and friendly. Walking distance to mall too. Overall if you don't mind old hotel, you can choose this hotel.Peace
it’s not a 4 star hotel as stated. The tv signal very poor and not in colour ,remote tv also not working. Noise from water pipe while taking bath. Swimming pool place are small. It’s a old building need to upgrade better in future ..overall 3star hotel 😬😅

Room bed was full of hairs initially, went down to the receptionist and requested to get it clean again. Overall takes about an hour and the room is clean. At least they make it up to their mistakes I am willing to accept it.

Lowkey the best hotel in gurney! Spacious room, easy checkin n checkout process and good services. This is my second time here and definitely not the last. Walking distance to all the malls and food places.

Excellent cleanliness. Breakfast not bad. Good value for money.
Review of Sunway Hotel, George Town I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sunway Hotel in George Town, and I was thoroughly impressed with its prime location, making it incredibly convenient to explore the surrounding attractions. One standout feature was the spaciousness of the room, which far exceeded what you typically find in newly developed hotels. While the decor and finishing did feel...
Great location with many eatery and local products shops around. Good stay with parking
A four-star hotel should not provide towels with torn edges or bedsheets stained with blood and other unknown marks. Equally disappointing was the breakfast, which offered limited choices and lacked flavor.
Close to all the food centre and easy check-in. Overall, it was a great experience.
Helpful staff and good location. Suggest to travel by Grab for places of interest within Georgetown to avoid hassle of parking. Walls a little thin and could faintly hear noises from outside, else everything is good.

What a beautiful, historic hotel. Occupying a great position in Georgetown near the water the building has a classic facade and timeless charm. Service throughout our 3-night stay was friendly and generous. Beautiful hotel. I really enjoyed the grounds and sounds of the ocean at night. I stayed in the original wing and highly recommend it. There are two dining areas, the new wing feels like breakfast in a busy Cafe. The old wing feels is much quieter and relaxed with a smaller breakfast spread and a la carte options. Spacious rooms and antique furnitures with modern amenities like coffee machine. The...
One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The old wing has an incredible atmosphere — polished wood floors, striped hallways and that classic old-world elegance that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another era. We stayed in the old building and loved it. The room was spacious, beautifully styled, and even had its own doorbell inside the bedroom — such a unique detail. We also got a newspaper...
I was genuinely impressed by this hotel — it exceeded all my expectations. The room was extremely spacious, beautifully designed, and filled with historic charm. cleanliness is good the soundproof not very good still can hear the noise from other travellers, the street vehicles and the sound of compressor. btw overall is good.
I would never stay at this hotel again unless I absolutely had no other choice. The toilet doesn’t even flush properly… it’s disgusting! Good service by the staff with greeting and smiles, very friendly too. The location is great with oharmaxy and food courts nearby. However, the cleaniless part is just normal in general. The air conditioning wasn’t working at all. I contacted the front desk, and they said they would handle it promptly. However, after waiting for about two hours, the hotel finally brought a portable air cooler. Unfortunately, the noise from the cooler at night made it impossible for me to sleep.
