Hygiene: There was an unknown black stain on the sheets, which I assume wasn't from being unwashed, but rather indelible. The outside of the room window was very dirty and hadn't been cleaned

The room was a bit small and not brand new, but it was still in good condition. The lobby and elevators were impressive, and the service was very friendly. We got our room around noon and even had a sea view

They provide unlimited drinking water, and the 'Pillow Menu' is a game changer—you can request silk or memory foam pillows for free! • Facilities: The gym and pool area are very clean

The hotel is a bit old, but the location is very convenient! Overall, the service was excellent, the room was spacious and clean, with a semi seaview that’s nice. Hotel staffs were very friendly

The hotels overall is great! We had a great time here! The room was spacious even with a large sofa bed open and the beds are very comfortable. Housekeeping was efficient and is generally clean

The housekeeper even folded a cute elephant out of towels and left us a greeting message. The pool is quite small and is quite salty and is also a bit too warm, it felt more like a warm bath rather than a cool splash

The service was excellent, and I was very satisfied with my 5-night stay. The hotel air conditioning worked very well

The location was convenient, only 20 minutes from the airport, and you could walk or take a taxi to the city's attractions. I regret not taking more photos

There's ice cream available for purchase in the hotel lobby's lounge area (I highly recommend the tofu flavor) – it's surprisingly delicious! Overall, it's decent for a stopover, which suited us perfectly since we were flying home the next day

The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were good. The breakfast was plentiful, and it was great that they offered different regional specialty breakfast options every day

Great facilities, got infinity pool, however the view from pool not really great. Housekeeping service can be improved. The do not clean room everyday due to alternate day housekeeping

The location is fantastic! Directly across from Komtar, you can easily catch the CAT bus. A 7-Eleven is just a 2-minute walk away, and it's only 3 minutes to the Three Road Night Market

Knowing that it’s my boyfriend’s birthday, they v kindly did towel art decoration prior to our hotel check-in, and even sent us a cute cake to celebrate. Thank you St Giles, we will be back! ❤️

We very much enjoyed our stay at St Giles Wembley in Penang. The staff were very friendly and the food available in the hotel was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here during your visit to Penang.

The street art area is a pleasant 15-minute walk. You can even watch the sunrise right from your room! The service and facilities are excellent, and there's a water dispenser in the hotel corridor

Service was great right from check in all the way till check out. Requested for a room with a view of Komtar and high floor. Great view for New Year’s Fireworks! Staff was friendly and helpful

I wouldn't recommend this hotel for tourists. The location is far from all the main attractions, requiring a taxi and navigating several small, winding streets to get back. It's a bit desolate with a hospital nearby

I really liked this hotel and had a wonderful holiday there. The staff were super friendly, but the bedding was terrible, which made for a poor stay overall. The air conditioning in the room was also very noisy

This hotel has well-trained staff who are very friendly and helpful. Although it’s an old building, you get what you expect here. I especially remember one staff member named Kamaruzzaman a great guy

2) The room layout in the Victory Wing is really odd; two rooms facing each other, and you have to walk deep into the hallway to open the door? 3) The bathroom had too many mirrors

This hotel is super convenient! There are so many eateries nearby, and the dessert shops serve really generous portions. The white coffee at OO coffee shop is delicious too

The room was quite spacious, but the bed was small, and there was a lot of wasted space in the bathroom. This time I requested a high floor, and the view was great. Breakfast was just okay.

A washer dryer (need to bring own detergent), microwave etc. Master bath is equipped with bath tub with sea view. Kiddies pool has slides and is covered with canopy so kids can play all day while being shaded

Hotel is located at a convenient location. Walking distance to Gurney mall and there is also a mall adjacent to the hotel where there are different restaurant serving varieties of food

Service: I was particularly impressed by a young lady and a young man at the front desk who both spoke Chinese and provided incredibly gentle and thoughtful service. They even helped us solve an awkward problem

This caused significant embarrassment for us! Despite confirming our payment and providing the necessary details, we were repeatedly asked to verify the payment again, which further delayed the process and inconvenienced everyone involved

There are plenty of dining options nearby, and a small mall next door with a mini-supermarket and restaurants. You can cross the road to the beachfront for a walk or a run

The room was clean, and the service was excellent. My daughter really enjoyed the swimming pool. The surrounding area is very convenient, close to many attractions. There are also plenty of great food options nearby

Air conditioner was good. Bad pillows,very stiff,not comfy at all. Minimal amenities. We were mostly outdoors,not much time at the hotel. Beware of pool depth,it goes up to 9 meters deep Near eateries..

The pool was great for the kids, and the staff were friendly. Hotel could use some renovations, but for the price, it’s a good budget-friendly option in George Town

At first the ac is not cold enough, but after a quick assist from front desk the ac problem is fix. The location is very convenience for us. But we got a smaller size bedroom than before. Overall is ok

Honestly the room is very good and good standard. The hotel is nearer to Chinese food shops and easier for us to find foods nearby. At night it's best to hunt for food and go for a walk

Came all the way from kl to Penang for business trip. Book this cheapest hotel in Georgetown in last minute. Unexpected the place is so clean and comfortable because my local friend told me is a very old hotel

We stayed with our 2 kids, very comfortable and near to all facilities..owner also friendly and easy to deal.. for sure will come and stay again at here..

The windows provide sea view. There is a 24-hour convenience store at ground floor, also nearby by walking distance.

Hotel is old but room has refurbished😍. Convenience walking distance to Penang Street and food stores.

Hotel room very dirty n dusty, there old chinese aunty, immediataly come do clearning.

Breakfast was ok, though the sunny side up "rubber" eggs and overdone sausages were disappointing. One big downside was the internet. Slow, often wouldn't connect and when it did, would then drop out

Finally issue solved towards the end of stay by switching to another wifi source but this really shouldn't happen in a hotel of this calibre

Secondly, the living room is very very very very humid, there is a ceiling fan but all 6 of us are sweating when we sit on the sofa especially during day time

Hotel is great and well located. Nice room, had a jacuzzi (which we never used, our choice). Fantastic shower, always hot when needed)

It was a bit hot in the afternoon as there wasn’t enough ceiling fan downstairs. On the second night, it rained, and we woke up to quite a lot of mosquitoes in the bathrooms the next morning 😅

Felt in love the moment we open the doors, the smell of wood, rustic and filled with post heritage decorations, there are some setbacks but overall the stay was almost to my satisfactory

In front of Loh Guan Lye Specialist Centre. There is bus stop to go to airport near the hotel. And you can find many local cuisine along the way of Macalister. But the hotel need to improve the cleanliness

Front desk service is friendly, help to educate me on self check-in. Room is simple with tower and aircon, good for simple overnight especially for LGL hospital visitors traveling from abroad

The location was definitely strategic if you want to be near Penang general hospital as it is walking distance. Amenities were moderate as there were no hair dryer

As a 1 star hotel, nothing much to complain as i booked for my aunty to take care my mother in LGL hospital. It's location is strategic just opposite LGL hospital

Decent budget hotel. Comfortable bed, just nice for budget traveller that just need to sleep and change clothes. Nearby nasi kandar stall that is super delicious.

The hotel environment is great, very clean, and also very close to the subway, which is super convenient. The customer service staff are also very helpful and actively assist with any issues.

Need to change toilet door style. The toilet only have 1 sliding door for both shower and toilet. This is not comfortable if you stay with friends or families with adult children. Idk why you do this type of toilet door.

Stayed here for a few nights and overall the experience was good. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough for a good rest. Facilities were basic but sufficient for a short stay

Nice hotel in Chulia street, near to a few bars and restaurants, nice night scene. The room was very spacious, there was a window but don't expect much as it's facing the alleyway. Plenty of parking for hotel guests

Nice quait little hotel with historic value. Located right smack in the middle of Georgetown bar area. Parking is a little tight but free. Definitely worth the value you pay

Conveniently located near airport and right next to a shopping mall. Our flight arrived at midnight so we needed a place to stay for the night. Staff are kind and the location is the main reason why we stayed here.

All was good but it surprises me that over the counter daily charges was less than whatever we paid here. We thought trip is cheaper but actually its not.🤔😏

I was surpised as service was good. clean room nearby eating places. the room is small but for 1 or 2 person its enough. tea service n water bottles supplied. if i cant sleep i switch off aircon

Awesome service throughout the stay, clean and comfortable rooms with all the necessary amenities, and the bonus of having an included parking area.

Plenty of delicious food, reasonable prices n nice night lifestyles to go round the clock 👍

But if to compared to other budget hotel around/near to this area, I would reccomend Tune Hotel Georgetown (rate might be few ringgit more than this hotel, but the accomodations is ???)

All is good. Hotel is good location. Parking is limited but available since non peak period.

The only issue I had was with a loud guest, but it was Thaipusam week so it is likely not like that often. It's not a luxury hotel, but he staff perform like a luxury hotel staff

Max, Fitri, Mehedi, Azad, Hidayah (and another nice young woman whose name I do not know) were so great during my stay there

Kind of room your get,really depends on your luck. One of it was spacious & clean ( 2 single beds), the other was FILTHY (single queen bed). Toilet obviously not cleaned, floors & walls were mouldy, you can SMELL it

Decent for an overnight stay. Great if you want someplace in between Bayan Lepas and Georgetown. This place is rather old but still well maintained.
