We stayed at Komandoo in January 2026 and it was a truly wonderful vacation that left nothing to be desired.
Not only was our Beach Villa stunning, but the entire resort is thoughtfully laid out with great attention to detail - such a beautiful and relaxing environment. The beach was gorgeous, and the house reef right in front of the resort was perfect for snorkeling.
The food and drinks were delicious and offered great variety throughout our stay. In addition, we definitely recommend to have dinner at the a la carte Aqua Restaurant. What truly made this holiday special, however, was the staff. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and attentive. You could really feel how much effort they put into making every guest feel welcome and relaxed.
A special 'thank you' goes to Haazim, our island guide, Moosa from housekeeping, Biji from the bar, Wahhab, our waiter, Naren who made the most delicious Naan Bread, Chandana from the dessert- and fruit-station at the restaurant as well as Bathool, who visits the resort once a week and enchants everyone with her wonderful voice and music! you all did an outstanding job and made our stay even more memorable.
We are really looking forward to our next visit and would choose this resort again anytime without hesitation. Highly recommended!

We weren’t really sure if we were going to get on holiday this year as our flights were being changed every day up to the departure date. However we did get away to what can only be described as a little piece of heaven. Komandoo is a small island located on an atoll about 45 mins by sea plane from Male. We arrived to a drum beat welcome from the reception staff and we were made welcome with a drink. The island ️ itself is simply stunning what you would imagine a desert island to be. Clean white beaches, warm seas beautiful coral reefs all surrounding the lush tropical trees of the inner island. The food then - brilliant we had our own waiter Naseem who was very attentive and knew what we wanted to drink before we knew ourselves,, actually all the staff had a real connection to all the guests. Each night was a theme night, and as a fussy eater I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by what was on offer. Top Marks go to the fresh Nan breads we had made every night Yummy . What we expected to be a relaxed week in the sun doing nothing but decompressing was in fact a week full of snorkelling around the island taking in all the wildlife. There are some awesome fish to see and we had 3 resident turtles grazing on the sea grass everyday. Black tip reef sharks were everywhere in the shallows, very timid and harmless but a great sight to see while swimming. We also took the manta ray safari but we didn’t see any however we did get to spend sometime with a colony of nurse sharks what a great experience! Completely terrifying at first but then so relaxing and calming. I could not fault much about the holiday but I do have to be honest. The evening entertainment could be better. But perhaps having European type entertainment teams might spoil the authenticity of the Maldives I do hope one day to return to the Maldives maybe back to Komandoo? Love Michael Sharon Misha & Brett

Amazing island all the staff were so friendly, you could walk out of your beach bungalow and swim with the black tipped reef sharks and so much marine life, we swam with turtles, rays and sharks right on our doorstep.

Lovely warm welcome as we arrived on the island and from then on nothing was too much trouble! We had a very comfortable beach room over looking the sea with direct access to the water. (There is an infinity pool but we never bothered with it because the sea was so beautiful!) There is an excellent buffet restaurant, which had themed nights but the basics are available every evening and lunch time. An evening must is the cooked to order (by Neveen) naan breads - nothing like as soggy and chewy as we get herein the UK. The breakfasts are delicious and again pretty much anything you fancy is available. There is an à la carte restaurant called Aqua which is not included in any deals but definitely worth a visit as the food there was absolutely delicious! When we arrived our personal team member, Rathis, gave us the details of the Komandoo app which tells you exactly what js available and when! When you sign in to your personal bit of the app there is a daily/weekly agenda with everything you have on/booked with timings! Rathis checked in on us a couple of times to make sure everything was ok - without being over barring or pushy.

We had a fantastic stay at Komandoo. This adult-only resort is beautiful and offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We stayed in an overwater villa and had lots of fish visit every day. The staff was also super friendly and helpful! Faisal kept our room spotless, Jumaan and Dickshana fulfilled every wish we had at the restaurant, Hazeem gave us a warm welcome and sendoff. The chef and sous chef helped me stay safe with my food allergies. And the food was incredible. Hard to believe it was a buffet - everything was fresh and delicious. I also loved that the all inclusive package included a photoshoot and a dinner at Aqua. 100% recommend this resort

We loved everything about our stay at Komandoo! The Beach Bungalow, the quiet and beautiful beach, the wonderful snorkeling (the house reef is really nice with lots of fish, sharks and turtles) and the great food. Also the staff was amazing and so welcoming, a special thanks to Vishan and Hari - you do an amazing job! We really hope to be back soon!!

Fab resort. Great service. Only let down was TUI transfers on return. (8hrs when Male is 30 m8ns away by Seaplane) Check before you book with TUI

The location is paradise the staff are so friendly they can’t do enough for you. The Atmosphere is so relaxing The food is outstanding. Saeed made our trip with his amazing towel art and the cleanliness of our room. Great value for money. We will definitely be booking again next year.

Excellent on every level, the attention to detail ensures you are well looked after. Quality of food and staff is superb. The setting is exactly what you want from the Maldives and the size of this resort gives you a boutique feel. Weather was great. Lots to do and daily snorkelling was enjoyable. Turtles, sharks and dolphins all seen.
