Il-Logga Boutique Hotel in Xaghra

A higly recommended boutique hotel (winner of the award for the best Malta boutique hotel for 2025). My wife and stayed here for two weeks in November (the off season) and it was perfect for our base of operations. The rooms are kept spotless. The breakfast (included) is cooked for you daily. And for dinner in the restaurant (not included) food, wine, and service are exceptional.
This is a small, locally owned, family run hotel. We were made to feel very welcome and the owners and staff were happy to provide suggestions and recommendations for restaurants and activities.

A well spent holiday at IL Logga
The view from the balcony depends from which room you are staying in. The view from those in the front of the hotel are great. Obviously the ones with a street view are less extetic. But nice just the same.
For breakfast there was quite a list to choose for. It depended from what tickled your fancy. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was a pleasure to meet the waiter who is very erudite in various languages. Surely a great thing to have in a waiter. Every day the room was cleaned in a proper and efficient way. Cleanliness was no issue. Chapeau for that as well.

Genuine small boutique hotel that over delivers in many areas. Good situation and from our room No.11 an excellent view down the valley and of the sea beyond. Polite and generally friendly staff who are prepared to go above and beyond for you. SMALL but well situated pool on the roof that would benefit from anti slip flooring around the perimeter. The jewel in the crown iofthis hotel is its restaurant quite simply every lunch and dinner was 5 star quality the chef is simply a genius. The waiter who looks after the service in the restaurant often alone compliments the food brilliantly with his service and his wine knowledge is really helpful.

What a gem of a hotel. Set in a quiet village about 10 mins from the village square. Ritash and his team are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are good with a small ‘Juliet’ balcony. Good shower with soap and shampoo provided. Tea and coffee in the room and a fridge you can put bits and bobs in. The rooftop pool is definitely a bonus fair size with bubbles at one end. Plenty of sun beds and shade if needed. We only ate breakfast there which you order the night before. Plenty of choices for all tastes. The restaurant menu looks fabulous it’s a shame we didn’t have time to eat there. All in all it’s a fantastic place to stay when on Gozo!

We loved our stay at Il-Logga! Our room was generous with a comfy bed & a large terrace overlooking the valley. Bathroom was small but shower had ample room. Breakfast was super generous & so was dinner. Room had a fridge, safe, a couch, deck chairs & complimentary water. Wifi was also complimentary. There are restaurants within a 10 minutes walk to Xaghra Square & a grocery store nearby. We would definitely stay again!

A very comfortable intimate hotel. The breakfast was lovely and we can’t say enough how delicious our dinner was at the restaurant. The town is small and quiet but it’s very easy for access to either side of the island for swimming etc.

II- Logga was our base during our stay in Gozo. This family owned boutique hotel has rooms with a home styled feel and a top notched restaurant. Quiet hill top location. Breezy with fantastic views from the roof.

SERVICE:
Excellent service. We felt well taken care of.

BREAKFAST:
Breakfast was included in our stay. We had options of 4 food items that we selected from a list with free-flow toasts, butter / bread spread and beverages like coffee, tea and juice included by default. The breakfast was beautifully presented, high quality and filled us up.

ROOM:
Our room was spacious, well-equipped with airconditioning and a ceiling fan. The TV had local and satellite channels. The bed and pillows were homely and we slept well. The toilet was fresh and the shower worked great. Water quality in Gozo though is salty. Although room was flanked by 2 streets with vehicle traffic, with the windows and doors closed, it hardly bothered us.

RESTAURANT:
We had some dinners at the restaurant as it was convenient and the food was good. The dishes are excellent. Main dishes comes with sides of roasted vegetables, french fries / fried potatoes. The spiced fried potatoes here were some of the best that I have ever eaten.

ROOF TOP POOL:
The pool is comfortable for up to 4 people and good for a wind down after a long day of excursions. During our stay, we rarely bump into other guests so we mostly had the place to ourselves. It is unblocked views and sunny throughout the day. In the evenings it becomes more windy and chilly.

LOCATION:
For us, it turned out to be a central location to the attractions. The roads are well connected and we could get to our destinations easily. Parking was no issue. We always managed to find free roadside parking close to the hotel.
