The guesthouse is fantastic - located in calm neighborhood, yet still close to the shop (walking distance), Victoria (by car or bus) and nice small beach. It offers both the privacy but also provides common spaces for integration with other guests and hosts. Peter and Paul make this place exceptional, so you can feel like a family member. Very relaxing stay in a beautiful suite set within an old farmhouse which has been furnished and accessorised tastefully. Every part full of interesting collections and objects. Huge suite with balcony overlooking pool and rural view. Own fridge kettle and toaster plus provisions for breakfast also kitchen plus living areas you can use. Peter and his son have been lovely hosts.

We stayed for 5 night in the Serenity-room and had a wonderful time. The two terraces are always in the sun and you can find wind-protected spot to read and enjoy the sun. The room is fully equipped and very spacey. Peter an Paul are superfriendly hosts and are always reachable for help or advices. Thanks for the good time!

Everything was wonderful – the guesthouse exceeded all my wishes and expectations, and more! I was warmly welcomed, and help was always close by. The room was spacious, peaceful, and well-equipped, and I even had my own balcony! The location was convenient even without a car – the bus stopped nearby, and there were lovely walking paths close to the house. I truly hope to come back here soon! A big thank you to Peter and Paul, and extra cuddles to the adorable garden cats!

We stayed for six nights at Dar tal-Kaptan for the start of a honeymoon tour of Malta and Gozo, and couldn’t have been made more welcome from the moment we arrived by host Peter and his son Paul. You really are staying as a guest within their home, but still have the privacy of a generous suite decorated elegantly and sympathetically within this charming historic converted farmhouse, with luxurious extra touches such as glass water carafes by the beds and fragranced reed diffusers. We chose to stay in Tranquility suite on the first floor with two outdoor balconies overlooking the garden and pool, with garden furniture and a useful clothes dryer. The suite is generous in proportion with plenty of closet and drawer space, air conditioning and an extra fan. We liked having the kitchenette for evenings when we weren’t going out and could enjoy drinks and snacks either outside, on the sofa, or even downstairs in the comfortable lounge and conservatory. Breakfasts were truly amazing, served attentively by Ettiene, with different fruits, omelette (cooked and served by Peter), breads, meats, cheeses, salad, yoghurt, jams and cake every day; we didn’t need lunch once! Peter, Paul and Ettiene imparted a wealth of recommendations for not only the best places to eat and visit, but useful tips for first timers on the island such as the Bolt app for taxis if you don’t drive (like Uber), and using the excellent bus service - we bought a 7 day pass as Dar tal-Kaptan is just around the corner from the bus route into Victoria. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely return.

We really love to visit this place. There is always relaxing and quiet. Breakfasts are delicious. Each room is designed with care of every detail. And if we are lucky we can meet a charming owner for a nice conversation.

We couldn't have asked for a better stay. The place is paradise! Beautiful interesting characterful home and amazing views across Gozo. We had everything we needed. We had the most wonderful time here. This place is truly special. From the moment we arrived, we were made feel incredibly welcome. Peter and Warren took the time to chat to us, and gave us the most wonderful recommendations for things to do on Gozo. Each recommendation was a hit. We didn't put a foot wrong, thanks to them. Breakfast each morning was an event, and a highlight of our stay. We loved the large table, and the opportunity to chat and share stories with other guests. Our room was fantastic and we enjoyed the pool too. This guesthouse really made our stay in Gozo.
