Town Yard Hostel in Ulan Bator

We spent 2 nights at the Town Yard and it was very convenient, clean and user friendly. For cyclists, there is space outside to store and pack your bike and sit and chat with other tourists, as well as the large living space downstairs. Our room had an en suite bathroom with toilet and shower. The breakfast was good and prompt from 8am. The location is handy to everything in UB. I would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely worth the price
It is so quiet and calm that you can really enjoy every moment . It is only 15 mins away from the busy city centre. I really prefer staying at quiet and safe neighbourhood.

Absolutely lovely accommodation, very clean and comfortable. The family who own it are really friendly and helpful. They also picked us up from the airport, which saved a lot of hassle after a long flight. Would recommend to anyone staying in Ulaanbaatar.

We stayed here twice during our time in Mongolia. The staff are so helpful nothing is to much trouble. They can help you organise any tours, equipment and anything you can think of.

We met a lot of nice like minded travellers here also and the atmosphere was always really welcoming.

If this is your first time in Mongolia or even if it’s not you should stay here. They will help you out with anything you need and you will be well looked after

The rooms are clean and the shower is hot and powerful. There is a bus at the end of the road for 1000 to take you to the centre if you don’t want to walk and everything is easily reachable from the hostel.

One highly recommended hostel in Ulaanbaatar for budget travelers is known for its excellent services and affordable rates. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable, ensuring a pleasant stay. Additionally, breakfast is included in the reasonable rates, providing added convenience.

The hostel's location is also advantageous, situated within a 20-minute walk from Chinggis Khan Square, a significant landmark in Ulaanbaatar. This proximity allows easy access to the city center and its attractions.

What sets this hostel apart is its incredibly helpful staff, including the owner and Jagaa. They go above and beyond in answering guests' questions and fulfilling our needs. They assisted the guests in booking a three-day horse trekking tour to Tereji National Park with only a day's notice. They efficiently organized every aspect of the tour, from transportation and food to water, tents, and sleeping bags.

We were accompanied by a knowledgeable and humorous local English-speaking tour guide named Bagi, who enriched our experience throughout the trek. We also had the pleasure of staying with a welcoming hosting family, led by the genuinely friendly owner, Galdan.

If we were to return to Ulaanbaatar, Danista Nomads is still our top choice considering ts outstanding services, helpful staff, and memorable experiences.

Exceptional Hospitality: The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care created a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel like valued guests from the moment we arrived.

The landlord's family is very nice. I left at 1pm, and he didn't make things difficult for me. To book a room, I used a credit card as a guarantee on the app, and then I paid cash when I saw the landlord, about 28,000 Mongolian monies per night, 56 yuan in China, and the exchange rate was 500/1. It was spacious, bright and clean, with one room and eight beds. It was two kilometers away from the Ulaanbaatar Railway Station in the city center and 50 kilometers away from the airport. There was no train to the airport, but there was a bus. I didn't know where to get on the bus, and it cost 70,000 Mongolian monies to take a taxi. If you saw a car on the road, just wave and it would stop. That's how to take a taxi.
