Great room. But I hope they have free water in the hotel though. Weird they don’t offer free water. The hotel is not cheap. But they have the best food in Ulaanbaatar.

Great hotel in a perfect location near Gandan monastery. The hotel room with 1 double bed was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

I have never stayed in a hostel and there are probably some really nice and decent ones. However this place is one step up from one of those not so great hostels you hear about. The room was extremely hot with no way to control the temperature. I opened the window but because of all the traffic all you could smell was the vehicle emissions. The shower looked like a last minute addition to the room. The photos are highly photoshopped everything is just run down and looks like there is just poor up keep. There has to be other friendly budget hotels here that are better. Since the reception desk employees were kind and fast checking in/out that is what I give them 5 stars.

The service was extremely disappointing. When I entered the bathroom, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all — there were lots of hairs everywhere. When I requested cleaning, they told me it wasn’t possible. I then called housekeeping and asked for urgent cleaning, but no one came for an entire hour. Every time I called to follow up, they said someone would come soon, yet no one ever arrived. It was very dirty and completely unacceptable.

This place has the worst service ever. We left our luggages at 10 and reconfirmed check in at 14 as it was stipulated in their policy. We got back at 14 and a girl received us in a very rude manner. She told us that we could check in only after 16 because they were disinfecting. No apologies, no compensation offering, no nothing. We were tired and wanted a shower after a 22 hour long train ride from Russia, and 4 hour walking around to make time till check in time. Horrible experience. We cancelled the reservation and went to another hotel where they treated us as humans and were given a room immediately.

Overall a pleasant experience. Check in and check out was made easy with a couple of ladies who understand English.

Overall decent value if you mainly need a place to sleep. Our room was small and faced the street – traffic in Ulaanbaatar is extremely noisy (constant honking), so earplugs were a must. The AC worked but blew directly onto the bed, and one mattress had a dip, which might be uncomfortable for some.

Breakfast was disappointing – by 8am bread, milk and cereal bowls were already gone and not refilled. Don’t expect European breakfast standards. On the plus side, the hotel is quite detail-oriented, and we saw that rooms facing the back are much larger and quieter.

Location is about 20 minutes from Chinggis Khaan Square, so not too far from the city center. Tip: book a room facing away from the street and plan to have breakfast in town – then the hotel is a perfectly fine and affordable choice.

I had a truly disappointing and upsetting experience at this hotel. Everything seemed fine at first, but after I took a shower, a strong and unpleasant smell started coming from the shower drain. It was honestly disgusting and made the whole room feel unlivable. I couldn’t sleep properly because of the odor.

I informed the staff immediately, expecting a change of room or at least a real solution. But instead of offering me another room, they just said they would spray some air freshener to “remove” the smell. After that, they told me to stay in the same room — as if covering up the problem was acceptable. I felt completely dismissed and not cared for as a guest.

I’ve stayed at many places, and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Poor hygiene is one thing, but the indifference and lack of basic hospitality from the staff made it even worse. I really hope the management takes this seriously and improves both the cleanliness of the facilities and the way they treat their guests.
