Eco Resort Cermeniza in Virpazar

We only had two nights there at the end of August, but I sorely wish we had been able to stay longer. This is a beautiful place to stay when visiting Lake Skadar. Virpazar is only five minutes away but the elevation of the property means you have a gorgeous view over the valley. Our little villa was very new, spotless, charmingly decorated and we loved sitting outside in the evening with a glass of Cerminiza wine! Our children loved the pool. Nemanja and his family work hard to ensure comfort of their guests. We would absolutely recommend, and will hopefully return!

We had a fab time staying here in one of the lodges. The surrounding area is beautiful with easy access to the village and boat tours of the lake. The host and service was first class, sadly the weather was not warm enough to enable us to use the pool. The wine tasting was also very interesting and the wine delicious.

Beautiful, family run winery. We stayed for 2 nights in one of their newest lodges. The food and wine here were amazing. Its a fantastic place to discover the surrounding area and a short walk into the village. Just wish the weather had been kinder so we could make use of their lovely pool!

A gorgeous place, and even more gorgeous owner. Our daughter gave me a ginormous hug when we got there and said thank you thank you thank you. We’d all like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Cermeniza. The villa was spacious, well furnished, comfortable, cool, clean. The views from the terrace are beautiful. The pools and loungers are great and the setting, just out of town, is perfect. Town itself was v crowded but you could avoid this. Great advice given on local area. The winery tour was so interesting and wine was yummy. Food was great too, served at table on our terrace. So happy that we found it and just wished we’d stayed here for the rest of our trip rather than heading to the coast. Thank you.

Gorgeous location and resort. The location is perfect - walking distance to town but further enough for a great view and peace and quiet. We stayed for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The pool is amazing and has a great view, the wine tasting with Nemanja was super interesting - he is v knowledgeable and his service throughout our stay was great. It is truly family run from the cleaning to the wine harvesting to the cooking. Recommend having dinner there at least one of your evenings!

Beautiful place and incredibly helpful, responsive and friendly hosts. We loved the pool and location, quiet but easy to walk into Virpazar.

We had the most amazing stay at the winery. Nemanja was an excellent host and could not be more helpful. So much time, effort and love has gone into creating this space. We stayed in one of the new chalets, which was perfect! Beautifully designed with everything you need. The area is so incredibly peaceful and a perfect place to relax by the pool after taking a boat trip on Skadar Lake. The complimentary wine tour was great. This place is incredible value for money and I'd highly recommend booking.

Stayed three nights at this small scale, family run vineyard and accommodation. Five minutes drive or fifteen minutes walk from Virpazar and the limited number of restaurants and the boat tours. Nemanje was a great host, very relaxed and with plenty of local tips. His aunt cooks breakfast, while his grandfather 88 still works the vineyard. I must admit the local wines are an acquired taste, but the evening wine tasting was great for learning about the family and the history of the place. They offer breakfast and a simple choice of evening meals, which was perfect after the longish day driving from Dubrovnik on our arrival. The ‘cottqge’ accomodation was fine with everything needed, including table and chairs to eat outside the first evening. There is airco, if needed, in the summer and a pool. It can get into the 40s. this is a friendly, small scale property that I’d highly recommend. Great contact in advance. On Nemanje’s suggestion we booked two boat tours with Golden Frog and ate one night in the centre of the village, while the other at the castle above the centre - a ten minute drive, but a good view of the lake and excellent food.

Stayed for two nights but honestly wish it was longer! Host was welcoming and overall gave off a homely feel. Loved personal hot tub and shared pool was well kept. Would recommend hiring a car to get about, but is only a 20 minute walk into town if needed. Wine with the partner overlooking the mountain sunset with a cheese/meat board was amazing. We also did l a local boat trip about lake skadar. July/August is very hot to be moving around much. Was €100 to get a taxi to/from Kotor/perast.
