After being made to feel extremely unwelcome on check in (we were initially turned away from our PRE-PAID booking, on checking in late at night, by a man who only spoke Croatian and wrestled with me to try to prise my passport out of my hands - as he wanted to keep it 'overnight' and I wouldn't let him - he was welcome to take a copy but was refusing to), I will never stay here again, and will warn my friends and family not to either. It was only after extended arguing (in our different languages) that he took a photo of the passport and we were given the room key.

To add insult to injury, the water was completely off in the morning (I checked and neighbouring properties were unaffected, but not so much as a single tap working here) and none of the staff seemed to care. We left, without breakfast (I don't know who feels comfortable eating food prepared by a kitchen with no running water, but not me).

It goes without saying that the late check out I was hoping for and the hotel told me to arrange during my check in, didn't happen either. It felt like I was very lucky just to get the bed that I'd paid for. Notably, the mattress was old and saggy.

Never again.
